Also, 2-3 extra ppl will be in the room, regardless of your comfortability for note taking which feels so uncomfortable and not right. Dr. Jennifer Heinemann was extremely condescending, did not listen to my wants or needs, and did not explain options that are ultimately affecting my health. The worst patient care I've ever received in the most vulnerable appt you can be in.

Upon the first visit, I felt rushed & formed no "connection" to any nurse or doctor. Everything was gone over extremely fast, I was given no advice or information outside of a pamphlet and spent the most time during the visit talking to the woman at the front desk taking my payment. This was my first pregnancy and I didn't know what questions to even think about asking. I decided to continue going as maybe it was just one bad experience. We went back for the next appointment and they made my fiancé leave the room, I understand why this is done, but for a girl who felt no connections to anyone in this office and didn't want him to leave, it felt like they were forcing him out. It made him feel less of a part of the pregnancy as well. I know from switching that there are better ways to establish with a patient that they are in a healthy/happy relationship. I switched to MUSC & had a great experience. It is now almost a year from my appointments at LowCountry and a bill shows up (keep in mind, I paid at every appointment). I got billed twice for "96127 Brief Emotional/Behav Assmt." I called for clarification on what this was and the number on the bill isn't even registered to their billing department. So I call the office, the lady who answers was kind, pulled the bill up, and attempted to explain it as the sheet we fill out in the office and the doctor recommending a therapist to me. I told her I never had anything emotional or behavior concerns and no one was recommended to me and she continued to say "it's just the sheet" so i clarified and said "so i filled the sheet out twice?" and she followed up with "it's just insurance billing because we have to bill for that sheet." At this point, I am paying the bill and going to be done. If you want quick care with no connections and hidden fees, this would be a place for you. However, I was looking for a doctor to feel comfortable with and who cared enough to listen and educate me, as well as allowing my partner to be involved. This office is just looking at how much they can charge for every service provided and then don't even give their office enough knowledge and training to explain the bill when people ask. I, personally, wouldn't recommend either office to anyone.

Their policy requires that a patient have someone drive them to the appointment, remain in the waiting room for the entire procedure, and then drive them home. This effectively means that anyone without a spouse, family member, or close friend available during weekday business hours is denied care--not for any medical reason, but simply because they are alone. I'm not asking for special treatment; I'm asking not to be excluded from care because of my personal circumstances. Denying a necessary medical procedure to someone based on whether or not they have a companion is discriminatory and deeply unjust.

East Cooper OB and Medical Center are the only people that I would see. In fact, I literally moved…read moreso that I could come back to Dr. Williamson and to deliver at East Cooper. Dr. Williamson at E.C. Ob delivered my twins and she was such a God send. There were some unexpected developments in the pregnancy and I really feel like I could not have gotten through it without her and the rest of my care team at the hospital. They were all so kind and empathetic, they really went above and beyond. Which is why when we found out we were having another (happy surprise ) we literally moved to be seen here again. Obviously God had opened up other opportunities as well but the pregnancy and having good care was a huge propelling factor in our move and decision to come back to Charleston. My second experience was also fantastic. Not as exciting, more routine but I still got to have Dr. Williamson and everything was wonderful again. I just feel so cared for with them and I wish I could have had these experiences with all of my deliveries. Could not sing their praises enough, and I will always recommend them. Not just Dr. Williamson but all the ladies in the practice! They were so nice and I would have been happy to have any of them take care of me.

I contacted Lowcountry Orthopaedics to schedule an appointment with Dr. Wong regarding imaging for…read moremy knee. Before scheduling, I was told my records needed to be reviewed first, which I understood and sent over. I initially misspelled the email address but corrected it shortly after. During my follow-up phone call with Stacey, I was trying to better understand why I was being referred elsewhere instead of scheduling directly for imaging. Unfortunately, the conversation became unnecessarily tense and dismissive. I felt spoken to in a passive-aggressive and condescending manner while asking questions about the process. I understand medical offices are busy and stressful environments, but professionalism and patience matter, especially when patients are already confused or dealing with health concerns. People make mistakes, ask questions, and need clarification. The way staff communicate can greatly impact someone's experience. I hope the practice takes patient communication seriously moving forward, because no patient should leave a call feeling belittled for trying to understand their care process.

His staff is friendly, compassionate, and will go the extra mile to assist you with all of your needs and concerns. After my visit to the emergency room, I made an appointment to see Dr. Johanesmeyer. He saw my X-Rays and we discussed his plan of action has including Ankle repair surgery, fitting me with splints, boots, and physical therapy. I have been prescribed pain medication to hold me over until the surgery. He did advice that due to my multiple broken bones, i will experience arthritis. 3/29 @ 6am I underwent Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) is a type of surgery used to stabilize and heal a broken bones. In my case, I had 6 plus broken bones. 2 weeks later I had my post-op appointment. X-rays were taken and I waited for the doctor. Upon removal of my cast and bandages We discovered extensive swelling along with monstrous looking fracture blisters. I was in total shock. Dr. Johanesmeyer Explained to me what fracture blisters were and how to treat them. He also Explained the Titanium hardware in my foot ( I nearly fainted). He went over the process of the surgery along with the incisions he made around the fracture blisters and why. My stitches are neat, and the incisions were all in straight lines. I must say he did a wonderful job. Dr.Johanesmeyer advised me to return in a week to see if the swelling goes down enough to remove the stitches and fit me for a stabilizing boot. He also provided me with pain medication and Gabapentin for my burning, tingling, ice picks, and cold nerve pain. 1.) Office Staff : 5 2.) Location: 5 3.) I am looking forward to recovering from this injury and getting on with the rest of my life through Dr.Johanesmeyer treatment plan. I recommend highly recommend Lowcountry Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
