BEWARE!! Recently, I overheard conversations about transactions at #CarolinaForestVacuumAndSewing, and the details left me deeply disheartened. A friend was promised a PR680W Brother embroidery machine complete with a stand. But post-purchase, the stand was conveniently "redefined" as a "cap frame"--a term unheard of in the embroidery world. This isn't just a mere oversight; it's misleading. I was the caller for my friend that actually asked all of the questions and the dealer specifically told me that she would get a stand as I asked specifically, if the stand was in his package as it was in the package we were looking at in Texas. My friend really wanted this machine. I am so mad because I called this dealer asked all the questions and he still was not truthful to her. The package came with the stand there is NO dealer that has been in business this long that would confuse a cap frame with a stand. NO ONE!! The trust consumers place in local businesses is crucial, especially when making significant investments. Yet, here, promises were broken and terms were manipulated post-agreement. It's concerning that customers are left navigating such inconsistencies and facing potential breaches of contract and false advertising, which are serious issues under South Carolina law. I was searching online for a replacement for our central vacuum unit as ours wasn't working properly after a few years of use. I found out that Carolina Forest Vacuum offered a similar unit to what we had. Shortly after placing my order, I got a call from Ron. He told me that the unit I ordered was recalled. He offered me a much better unit for the same price! That was a substantial discount! Furthermore, Ron took the time to explain in detail the differences between the two brands and types of vacuums. Bought a high end machine (lists for $20,000) a couple of years ago. While I got a good deal, when it comes to service go somewhere else. The store looks like a warehouse. Needed a new needle threader 6 months ago and was told it was on back order. I bought one online from another dealer. They didn't know what they were doing and bent the spring and the part that goes through the needle. Ended up taking it to a Florence shop who fixed the problem and put on a new needle threader. read more

This business is amazing to deal with! I ordered a Juki F300 on their website. The owner Ron contacted me via telephone call the day I placed online order (from his personal phone number) to let me know the machine was factory back ordered for months. Other stores I contacted the machine was back ordered. Ron at Carolina Forest Vac offered me a better machine for a very small amount more. Not only did I get the best and lowest price (I price checked the new offer) , a free luggage trolley, my new Juki DX1500QVP arrived on my doorstep within 2 days during the COVID19 period when many stores where weeks delayed from shipping and at a higher cost. I had a few questions about using the machine as it was my first computerized machine. The staff was very helpful answering my multiple phone call questions. I own several vintage Singers which I loved but the Juki this business sold me by far is outstanding! I damaged the bobbin case (user error) and Ron ordered part and sending me at no charge. This company is the gold standard. Ron the owner, has high standards. He gave me personalized attention, something so rare these days. His company reminds me of the good old days when a company cared about their business, the customer and their reputation. They are honest, trustworthy, and attentive. The highest compliment I can pay them is they treat their customers as if they are friends or family. Initially I admit I was put off by the security screening because I was purchasing a product online which required interstate shipping. Lately, I (and most people) have become accustomed to being suspicious of everyone and anyone's motives when giving personal information. We wanted to buy an embroidery machine online, but wanted to make sure it was in stock before ordering. We called to make sure and the guy said "we get shipments in and out every day, so it'll be in stock" and so we placed our order. Fast forward one week and we call to figure out the status of our order and they tell us it's out of stock and they don't know when it will be in stock. That's a pretty crap way to treat a customer. How a business treats its customers and honors its word is important. I ordered an expensive vacuum online for delivery. Paid by credit card. Free shipping 5-7 days. After 10 days I called to check on the status as the delivery was late. Was instead told that the delivery hadn't shipped yet and that I'd need to pay extra to ship it. This was an order that they had accepted and were paid in full and was already late. Instead of apologizing and honoring their free shipping, they blamed the website and wouldn't budge on me paying extra. They were happy to do nothing for 10 days while they kept my money and never contacted me. read more

Hey y'all. Today is May 1, 2020 My story starts a out a week prior..... I was just about to make my first large purchase for my sewing endeavors. Thought I would do the smart thing, shop around, see what price/shipping would be at various places. Turned out (or so I thought) to be a good decision as the seller on Amazon had terrible reviews during these COVID times. glad I checked. So I found a guy in South Carolina that sells the machine I want. its a big, powerful, industrial beast. AND FREE SHIPPING. certainly didn't think id see that outside of amazon. So I send a few emails, making sure they are still shipping....they are. Then there was an issue paying for it because it was coming to my house but my buddy was gonna put it on his card...yada yada doubles the warranty or some such. He informs me that they do not allow separate billing and shipping because of fraud. cooooooooooooooooooooooooool. literally nobody else does this, and while fraud happens, it is dealt with when it happens. and generally in the sellers favor. so that was a very annoying bit of "help" I think he thought he was doing. whatever. he's clearly a god damn boomer. But he ends the email with some "sorry we won't be able to help you. Goodbye". uh....did I just get called a probable con man and have the conversation shut down? asshat. so I email back, telling him I AM going to buy...I just won't have the convenience of my friends Amex perks. thaaaaanks. and then I bought it. so a week goes by, haven't heard a peep.so I call. He tells me that it looks like because I live in a residential area there will be $100 added to shipping. and that somehow I was going to be the one. I went and double checked his site, and, and the shipping policies. Absolutely nothing about residential areas. absolutely nothing. So when something sais FREE SHIPPING that means FREE. he does have a stipulation regarding size, if the shipping people need to use the real big trucks or something. Cool. not my issue, but glad its there FOR CUSTOMERS TO INFORM THEMSELVES ABOUT BEFORE GIVING YOU THEIR MONEY. I informed him that free shipping means all the details that go into shipping my item to me are on his end. I shouldn't be getting a call (OR MAKING IT MYSELF) and finding out you are adding 100 dollars on to what we literally already agreed on. No. Fucking. Way. its inappropriate for him to even suggest to me that I pay it. he should be having some sad convo with little Timmy cuz he cant buy him a new toy because he fucked up his shipping policies and wasn't on the up and up. because thats HIS responsibility. He is giving me a refund, which is complete bullshit but its better than him being a dick about that too. I found Carolina Forest Vac & Sew on-line. I was a little hesitant to purchase something without trying it out, but no one in my area sells the brand of machine I wanted and I had been researching machines for weeks. Shortly after placing my order I got a call from Ron and all of my fears were put to rest. The machine I wanted was out of stock due to Covid-19 and lack of inventory, but he offered me an upgraded machine for the same price. After researching that machine we talked about a couple other options that I had been looking at. I ended up buying my dream machine at quite a discount.
