My experience with Kendall's Hallmark Store #5, 910-989-4545 My family received great news of our FIRST upcoming grandchild..... My son whom also happens to be a Navy officer purchased a sweet "Gigi" shirt for me over the Christmas holiday to announce the great news of our upcoming first Grandchild from Kendall's hallmark in Jacksonville, NC. I received the shirt during our Christmas celebration and we all had a wonderful time celebrating the good news!! But the shirt was too large....so before I left town we popped up to the hallmark store in order to exchange the shirt. As soon as we approached the counter we were met by an older lady and a younger one looking like a college student....but with quite the snippy attitude mentioning "they didn't take returns without a receipt and that they didn't take back Christmas items." I shared that we had just received news about our upcoming Grandchild and that the gift was not a Christmas item, but a Christmas gift...and that we didn't want to "return" just exchange since I loved the gift and shirt!!! I also shared that we had a banking receipt....My son pulled it up on his phone and they promptly said, "that is not a receipt, there is no barcode. Sorry we can't help you." Needless to say I was a bit shocked at the lack of customer care....and extreme lack of customer service. We promptly left the store and plan to NEVER RETURN. I am lodging a formal complaint with the Hallmark corporate office because this is not the Hallmark way of doing business. Save your time and money and don't bother supporting this particular Hallmark store....they are DEFINITELY NOT like the rest.....
