I've had three interactions with Bradley's Jelwelers. The customer service has always blown my mind! Most Jewlery stores I go into its very business like; at Bradley's I've always felt love a VIP customer. I've never felt like just another dollar like most Jewlery stores. My last experience here was having two rings re sized. They were both LEO diamond rings from Kay's Jewlery. The representative explained that they may not be able to keep the small diamond on the inside of the band. I explained I'd prefer to keep it but if it couldn't be saved by resizing then to just complete the job. Unfortunately they weren't able to keep the small diamond on the inside of the band. No problem they were upfront about it. However when I picked the two rings up the diamond they couldn't keep in the band wasn't in any of the packaging I received. I feel it's bad business not to give my diamond back to me regardless of size. That's the only reason I couldn't give 5 stars. Even though this occurred, Bradley's will continue to be my go to Jewlery store! Edit: I was just in the store at the beginning of March 2020 and Karen helped me. I live in Texas but have relatives in Jacksonville, North Carolina, whom I visit as often as I can. During one visit, my cousin introduced me to Bradley's Jewelers. Brad and Susan jumped in to show me around the store. They were personable, very knowledgeable and fun to be around. I fell in love with the store, and with the unique items on display. Since that initial visit, I visit Bradley's Jewelers every time I am in Jacksonville. I have several items from the store and will continue to add to my collection. Great work! I brought my ring here to be sized. I unknowingly stopped in 10 minutes before they were closing, and I apologized for being "that customer" and they were super sweet and told me not to worry at all. The turn around was great, if I remember correctly, it only took 1 week, and this was around Valentine's Day so of course they had a lot of rings needing sized! There was a hiccup after I picked my ring up, however they more than took care of the issue. Recently, I broke my great-grandmothers engagement ring and, being that the ring was over 100 years old, I was very cautious about where I should take the ring. I went to Bradley's on the reference of a friend of Bradley. Bradley is supposed to be the best in the area, which I don't debate, but the customer service staff sucks, specifically Susan/Susy/something like that. The head of my engagement ring separated itself from the main body of the ring. I went in, got a consultation from Susan, where she also offered to wash my other ring. During the cleaning process one of the diamonds fell out, I didn't have time to hang out so I told her to put it with my engagement ring and I would pick them up at the same time. I also inquired about designing a custom band in which she said she would consult with the jeweler and get back to me... She never did. Considering my ring is worth more than most people's cars (she knew that AND I'm betting it was the most expensive ring in the building) I figured she would want to do business, but no. I heard nothing. On top of all of that I go back to pick up my ring and she had "misplaced" the ring that had been cleaned. It took her 5 days to find it, me calling every day. I went here on the recommendation of a friend and she did not steer me wrong. My diamond fell out of my tension-mount wedding ring and I also discovered I needed a new appraisal. It was around the Christmas holidays so was told they were busier than normal and it might take a month--but when I showed her I had my previous appraisal and the specific ring information (dimensions, clarity, inclusions, etc.) that cut the time in half. I would not recommend Bradley's jewellers to anyone. My husband purchased my engagement ring from the store and when I called them about exchanging it (before I had ever worn it) they told me my only option was to upgrade it and I must spend at least 2x the price. This is a standard policy for used rings, but NOT for rings that have NEVER been worn. I feel that they gave him poor advice during the engagement ring buying process. They obviously only cared about the sale. I later had the ring replated after only a year of wear it looked terrible ( it was much more expensive that other stores) and they did a TERRIBLE job. It came back with clearly visible scratches in the setting. I was told this was the best they could do. A year later I had it replated before my wedding at another store and it came back looking brand new. Obviously what the sales associate at Bradley's didn't care about customer satisfaction, and was only interested in the sale. Don't waste your time or money a store like this that doesn't care about customer service. read more

This place doesn't deserve a single star. I went in about two weeks ago to have my vintage buttercup earrings fixed after another local jeweler from Jacksonville botched the repairs I had done. Plus it seemed like this place had good reviews. That turned out to be WRONG. I walked in & asked to speak with the head jeweler. The 19 or 20 year old girl who greeted me then asked what it was in regards to. As I see their jeweler walk directly past me & into the back. She insisted she look at the jewelry herself & bring it in the back to see the jeweler. I figured well while I'm here about the earrings, I'll have them check the prongs on my 2 old European cut diamond rings. The girl took all my jewelry in the back & I could see her staring at my diamond rings very confusedly. It seemed as though she had never seen that type of diamond cut before, yet she was capable of being the jeweler's apprentice or whatever it was that her job actually was? She comes out from the back with my stuff, tells me 4 out of the 6 earrings need work & if he can't fix them I'd need to get new settings. They're vintage yellow gold buttercup earrings. the setting is worth more that the diamond chips but hey, I guess she just didn't know that. Oh & the fact that that setting in itself is very difficult to even find bc of its age. She then tells me one of my rings is fine, and that the other ring was missing a prong but I didn't have to "rush to get it fixed bc the diamond wasn't going anywhere." ----Fast forward 2 weeks---- I take my 2 rings to a jeweler in myrtle beach & he tells me "don't wear this anymore til you're able to get this prong fixed, otherwise you'll loose that stone." As he puts it into a small plastic bag b4 he even hands it back to me. It was the same ring the head jeweler at Bradleys told me was "fine" & not to "rush to fix" was literally about to have a stone fall right out of the setting. He had his young assistant SPECIFICALLY tell me the ring was sound but needed work, when that was ABSOLUTELY not the case. SHAMEFUL. read more

Cannot say enough about the WONDERFUL Customer service I rec'd from everyone at Bradleys especially Wade. Walked in and Wade greeted me, asked what he could do or help with I told him an idea of what I was looking for and he walked right over to the case and pulled it out! I beautiful mounting for a diamond I already had and it was EXACTLY what I had in mind. We rang it up and I was told my ring would be ready the following day by noon. A very short time later approx. 1 1/2 hrs. to be exact my phone rang and it was Wade saying "I have a beautiful ring waiting for you!" When I arrived I was great by Wade and a box the presentation was amazing and I was blown away when I opened the box. Since I had been looking for close to a year for the perfect one, I didn't expect much. However, as it turns out, I found exactly the perfect one that fit all of her hints and example photos that were "almost perfect." And they proceeded to sell it to me at quite an attractive price. But, as luck would have it, when I showed my wife, she said it was a wonderful ring, but she had changed her mind on some of the larger details about what she wanted. So, armed with this entirely NEW description of her perfect ring, I called them back and explained my situation. Not only did they promise to hunt high and low in store and in catalog for the 'new' perfect ring, since they were so PERSONALLY INVESTED in how happy I was to have found the ring after a year of searching and get to surprise my wife, but once we did find the perfect ring, they discounted it considerably and brought it down to the originally attractive price I had paid for the original, AND had it shipped extremely quickly, ahead of their forecasted time. My wife said 'perfect!' as soon as she saw it. And that definitely wouldn't have happened had I not walked into this store. I brought in my wedding set as well as a pair of diamond hoop earrings for appraisal, cleaning, and re-sizing (of the wedding set.) It had been many years since I'd had this done and wasn't certain what to expect...what I received was beyond expectation! All of my pieces looked FABULOUS when I picked them up--I was so impressed! And the appraisal was done by a D.C.A. certified appraiser--also impressive. When I spoke with our insurance company about the appraisal details of the pieces they spoke rather highly about what specifications were given in the dossier. As a finishing touch, the customer service provided by Whitney was outstanding! She took the time to speak at length with me when I picked up my items and was extremely personable as well as knowledgeable. My wife, family and I have been going to Bradleys Jewlers for several years...we have had nothing but professional and friendly service from this wonderful establishment. Nearly every time I go, the owner comes out from her busy day and greets my family and I. I have read some of the negative reviews of this amazing shop, and I cannot stand by them (OF COURSE they are busy at Xmas!!! Who isn't?!!) This is a locally owned, family store. They are not a giant chain store shoveling out substandard merchandise from who knows where, just trying to get a buck from someone who doesn't know any better. Be patient, be civil, and give them a chance to explain everything they know about their business, you will not be disappointed. EVERY time my family and I go in, I have to look at my watch, because I know every question I have about a piece of jewelry is going to be explained in every facet imaginable, and we usually end up spending an hour there (or more!) speaking with Wade or the owners. If you have doubts, give them a chance and ask them about some of the jewelry they sell. The owners attend jewelry shows throughout the country many times a year so that their customers can choose from the best jewelry and merchandise they can find. We had Wade help us design a custom ring and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE, my wife constantly gets compliments on it, and the quality is just amazing, (GIA certified, papers provided.) I cannot highly recommend Bradleys Jewelers enough, their knowledge, professionalism and expertise in all things jewelry is second to none for the Jacksonville area. My husband has been buying me jewelry over the years at Bradley's. Their staff is always professional, friendly, and helpful. They go out of their way to make us happy. I reset my ring a few years ago and Brad suggested a design that would honor both my husband and my grandmother. My husband also buys our daughter special gifts for Christmas and Birthdays. Recently, my husband called Susan and asked her to help my son pick out a ring that was in his budget. When we arrived in the store they were not there. They had told their associate Erica that we would be coming in. She was patient, kind, and friendly in helping my son and his fiancé pick out a setting. My son wanted to surprise her but knew he wanted her to choose the setting she would prefer. She showed them many options in his price range. I gave my son one of our family heirlooms and wanted to reset the diamond in a special setting. They did a fantastic job and took my setting and put my mom's birthstone in the original setting of my grandma's ring. I absolutely love it and will cherish it while I know my son and his fiancé will be happy with their set as well. We can't imagine going anywhere else for our jewelry, and special occasion gifts. Will never purchase another thing in this store, Susan is the worse customer service representative in the store. Not sure if she has ownership or not. My husband purchased three pandora charms for me for christmas, one being gold. I went to return or exchange them and was met with conflicting policies. Not in the mood to argue, I had to ask 4 times for my charms that I do not want to be handed back to me from behind the counter. Then Susan began to tell me what a fortunate customer I was because she was considering allowing me to exchange the charms. Guess what Susan I never consider myself fortunate to be able to spend my money anywhere. Drove right down the street to another jeweler to have some repairs that I intended to leave with Bradleys. The salesperson asked about our price range and explained about the various metals and gold they offered and various price ranges. She was not "hell bent" on making a sale to us, but gently explain the advantages of purchasing them. Meaning, because of the military lifestyle he has what would work best for him and his job. She also, showed us a book with a descriptive on the metal, i.e., tungston, chrome, silver, white gold, etc. We had limited funds but she was adamant that there was a ring to suit our lifestyle and pocketbook. We wanted the rings by that next week and she did better, she told us that we can have it the VERY NEXT DAY. Go figure, where in the world do you find a jewelry store that can accomodate you and so efficiently. The next day the phone rang. It was Bradley's with our rings. We were ecstatic. Not only was the professionalism exceptional, but we received our rings on New Years Eve and brought the New Year in by exchanging our wedding bands. That was a perfect gift.
