They have helped me understand what is going on and we are working together to get my health on the right track. What they do is working and I can see it. I do believe there are ways to increase your health besides pharmaceuticals that mask the problem. I have learned what vitamins and minerals I am deficient in and now I take them and use food as well. This was the first group of doctors that would even talk with me about checking those. Believe me I had asks my primary doctor several times and I am now 55 and just getting answers. The only thing they checked was my vitamin D levels, which were off. RIH dug deeper, found other deficiencies and also found I had a mutation that did not allow me to absorb the vitamins properly. Who else would have helped me to discover this? Thank you RIH! I am so happy I found this group of doctors willing to get to the root of the issue and not just give me a pill to mask it!! It is well worth the drive (it takes me an hour) and cost. There is also an in house eye glass store. My surgery was done on the 2nd floor where they have a state of the art surgery set up. Staff there explained everything in detail prior to surgery and after. The anesthesiologist did a great job in making sure I was comfortable and pain free. My follow up today was also great. My eyesight is already looking great. All my questions were answered. I am highly satisfied with the entire process, including these assistance in securing financing for both surgeries. I had one of the most stressful and upsetting experiences at this eye exam, and I feel it's…read moreimportant to share. It all started with a 45-minute wait past our appointment time in the lobby, where there was a person screaming nonstop. This was never addressed by the staff, and it left my school aged child terrified--she wouldn't let go of me and just clung to me the whole time. During the appointment, the staff asked me in front of my child whether she was "jealous of her older siblings" and making up eye problems just to get glasses. This was not only inappropriate, but it made an already uncomfortable situation worse. Then, when the doctor finally came in, we were told my child needed glasses to see properly. We were told that our insurance would cover the appointment 100%, but they didn't cover anything because the office had processed the insurance incorrectly. I called multiple times, left messages, and eventually had to send a letter to get someone to address it. When I finally received the bill, the staff was extremely rude and told me it was my fault for not providing insurance that would cover the exam--despite being explicitly told my insurance would cover it fully. In the end, I'm left paying for an exam that was emotionally draining for my child and should have been covered by my insurance. The whole experience was frustrating, and I was really disappointed by the lack of professionalism from both the staff and the doctor. I would highly recommend finding a different eye care provider. We will not be returning to this office.

Often times providers that have years of experience can become arrogant. I am thankful that Dr. Evans is one who remains relatable and pleasant. Angeline, the contact consultant, is very knowledgeable and helpful. This office is comprised of pleasant professionals that clearly care about the work they do. I appreciate the way they work well together to keep the patients moving through. After my most recent visit, the lady in the optical area called me several times to check to see if I wanted her to order my contacts for delivery at my home. It's what I normally do and because I failed to check in with her prior to leaving, she made sure to reach me and I appreciated that.

I have had two cataract operations done through this practice; the first was about a decade ago,…read moreand the second just this year. The first was done in the old location, a plain, clean, older building in the middle of the hospital section of High Point by Dr Tepodino, and refreshed (for want of a better word) last year. No trouble ever. The procedure was seamless, the small staff kind and helpful. The cost was borne by insurance, with a $60 copay. The second operation was conducted by Dr Evans in the sleek, new facility near the old shopping center. The operation was attended by at least six auxiliary staff, each of them asking me the exact same questions. I declined the offer for assisted sleep, as I wanted to remain conscious for the operation. I was also given an option of a special lens to correct an astigmatism, at an (uninsured) cost of over $1,000, which I declined, as it could easily be corrected with glasses. The actual operation took about 20 minutes. I can see much more clearly with the new lens, although there is now a shadow on the left peripheral side of my vision which wasn't there before the operation. My copay was $340.00, and I found later the cost to the insurance company was nearly $14,000.00.
