I saw a dr here who said my ex rays were among the top 5 worse he had ever seen yet would not give me pain meds because he only gives them to patients after surgery. Other drs have to have a a Georgia ID before they can see me and I am having trouble getting the documents I need for that because I live out of state.

The two stars represent the administrative staff and the nurse I interacted with. Both were friendly and helpful. I've been dealing with chronic neck/back pain since 2011 due to a car accident in which I had 10 broken bones in my back and 2 in my neck. My primary physician had prescribed me muscle relaxers and a low dose of hydrocodone and I take them whenever my pain flares up. I would get three months worth of prescriptions and most of the time one months worth will last me half a year or more because I take it ONLY WHEN I'M IN PAIN. Kind of like extinguishing a fire. I was referred to this facility due to the crackdown on narcotics because my primary physician can no longer prescribe them, in which I fully support. I told the nurse I was not interested in cortisone injections. I am not comfortable in needles being anywhere near my spinal cord..nor am I interested in getting the procedure done over and over. After reading and doing my due diligence about the injections I decided it was too risky. The doctor who came into the room (I'm not going to put his name down because that's not my way) strolled in and and basically said because I was not interested in doing injections he wouldn't charge me for my visit and I could leave. Never asked me why I wasn't interested, never tried to offer any other form of treatment, never tried to reassure me of the safety of getting injections. Just said, "that's what we do here" over and over. Didn't even try to talk about my paperwork or how my pain was or has changed over the years. Even after explaining to him how my pain has been managed he just kept referring back to injections and saying "that's what we do here". It's funny...I remember seeing the same doctor years ago in which I left with two new prescriptions (one being a time released narcotic which I tried once and could not take because of the grogginess and another for sleep which I also could not take because it made me sick in the morning) and a date to have injections. It was at that time I did my own research on injections and decided that for me, it was too risky..so I cancelled the appointments and have managed my pain with intermittent medication. After the blatant rudeness I encountered at this visit I walked out feeling like I was treated like a druggie AND I left with no help for continuing my pain management. I was in tears because of the way I was treated. All in all, it was a bad experience...just like the first time. Some things never change.

My GP sent me here and I got Dr C. The staff was very kind…read morebut he was very arrogant. He'd ask me questions then talk over my answers. He got upset when I refused shots. He prescribed me some medicine and I tried it.. with bad results. It was causing mainly my heart some problems. After two days I stopped taking it.. called his office and left a message. The next day someone called back informing me the doctor wanted me to go to the ER because what he gave me couldn't have caused those problems. I told them no.. after being off the meds I feel a lot better. The lady didn't want to hear it and insisted the doctor was right and I was wrong. Without saying it she made it sound like I was a liar. I will never go back to him.

They when you come in to ask why it did not work and you are 15 minutes late because of an accident they say sorry you are 5 minutes past the grace period we can see you next month. You say you will sit and wait and an older lady comes in 15 minutes late and they tell her to have a seat. MD was "nice" but extremely regimented, and, rather like a cafeteria style, had limited repertoire…read moreof choices in treatments, i.e., did not even provide the very simple double occipital nerve blocks (simple trigger point injections for coat hanger pain) but rather he just wanted to push the more financially lucrative treatments such as epidurals. It's been awhile since I was there (early 2024) and have seen such a plethora of other unsatisfactory physicians in the interim that I cannot recall if he prescribed any of the generally ineffective and commonly prescribed "pain" meds at all such as Lyrica. I wasn't looking for any of the dog and pony circus of treatment with opiates at that time being I was already well aware of the pitfalls of that such as it is impossible to even obtain a sufficiently high enough dosage to be worth my while to try them again. Therefore, instead I just lay down a lot, hire people to do my housework @ 30 bucks per hour, cannot even stand at my sink more than 5 minutes to wash my own dishes, have to pay someone to drive my dogs to the dog groomers being I still cannot even bend over my own laundry sink long enough to bathe my own 5 and 6 lb dogs, plus of course I have major problems simply bending over to pick things up off my floor - pretty pathetic really as I actually know myself how to fix these things. While I have more invisible illnesses than I can count on 2 to 3 hands, there is not one MD I have met anywhere in this metropolis who knows anywhere close to as much as do about them sadly. There is absolutely NO excuse for this happening in AMERIKA so shame on what has been allowed to happen with three downfall of our entire healthcare system here. *** Otoh, Kiran Semmelsberger, PA, formerly of Atrium Primary Care in Mint Hill certainly did. She, however, has moved on being that she was so conscientious about her job that she was majorly overworked. She had been known to call me from the office there at 8:30 PM just to ensure she followed through with some final analysis of some new diagnostic crisis of mine. While these reflections of mine RE: the medical care thus far found in Charlotte, NC, are not at all just directed towards this one practice on Springbank, this practice I went to one time only was in fact a typical example of what is being described. *** End result currently??
