My mother said her flowers were beautiful! For the flowers and the aw effect when they arrived, I rate a 5! Just what I expected when I ordered from a local, brick and mortar florist. That feeling dissipated, very quickly, when the driver told my 90 year old mother she had to pay a fee, tip not included, to deliver the flowers to her apartment, instead of the main office. She, with the help of her neighbor, we're able to get them upstairs. If I was informed of a separate fee to deliver the flowers to her apartment, I would have gladly paid it. It's all about the experience for the recipient, correct? And when she tells everyone about the beautiful flowers she received, she is sure to share that, as the recipient, she was asked, to pay extra to have a proper delivery. Not impressed. I ordered an arrangement through flowershopping.com and this florist got the order. I specifically ordered and arrangement that include a stuffed Bee Nurse. I fully understand that the flowers might be different than pictured however when a stuffed animal is pictured it should be as is or at least a different stuffed animal. Instead, this florist "substitute of equal value" was a 1 1/2 inch wooded bee on a stick. I did try to resolve this through the florist and flowershopping.com and got no reasonable solution. I got a message from my close friend that her mom passed away. The next day I was driving to Rochester to be there for her. As I was driving on Highway 52, I had to figure out a way to get flowers, luckily this place was very close by to her place. I stopped in and knowing that I didn't have enough time, I had to grab something quick. The elder man working there noticed and approached me right away. I asked for what kind of flowers are appropriate for a loss. He kindly mentioned something that would cheer them up. We stepped into a different room that was filled with flowers. Awful customer experience. 1) Took the order 2) Did not deliver the flowers as requested. 3) Called and asked to confirm delivery the next by 1 for a funeral service - were only willing to confirm by 8 PM. Even though they had claimed that they had contacted my friend - I told them his phone showed no missed calls and no message. They didn't care - no sense of accountability and service. 4) Bad service, BIG attitude. I'm not sure if they and the third party orders communicate. An order was placed and when I received the flowers it was nothing like what was ordered. I understand if things are not available due to whatever reason but this was not communicated to the customer and instead they delivered the most shitty looking arrangement. Placed an order recently then called to make sure the card message was correct because the spacing looked weird I was told it was fine. Then was told that the owner has not updated his website and that if I wanted to bouquet to be full and big like the picture I would need to provide an additional $20 after already purchasing the $80 arrangement because it was going out of town and the deliver charge was more money than the website said because the owner hasn't updated it. I then proceeded to declined because it was not my fault the website was not updated and was then told that I have three options I could either give more money, have a smaller arrangement delivered, or I could cancel the order because the women helping me said she just worked there and that's all she could do. I was very disappointed and had them cancel the order. If I could give negative stars I would the lady helping me was extremely rude and unprofessional. Will not be placing any more orders. My friend's Dad passed away suddenly from a short illness and I wanted something special sent to her house in Rochester. I ordered over the phone with my credit card because I could not get off work. I've used the wire service before with mixed results so I was a little skeptical what she would get. I ordered flowers for my boyfriend a few days ago. They called him to confirm the delivery even though I had told them specific instructions as to where and when to deliver it. I placed the flower order at 10am. By 4pm they still hadn't arrived, even though our apartment is within walking distance to the store. When the flowers did arrive the next day (my boyfriend had to delay going to work for this) they were almost dead from the cold and had been wrapped in plastic, which had frozen to them. This was a cute little shop. We kept seeing it lit up at night and the fountains galore!! When we finally had the opportunity to visit they were having a massive sale. I don't know how it lasts, but you should get there soon. There were lots of little quirky garden decorations AND home knick knacks. What a rip off, First of all I sent an arrangement from out of state, website said free delivery, Well, they called me to say they charged $20.00 for a delivery cause it was the next town over (excuse me I am from out of state) OK I Paid it, Then I found out that the Order was picked up and not Delivered But I was still charged a Delivery Fee anyway... REALLY??? When I called I was told the manager would call me back... well the manager never called back but I did get a call back only to be told they just added an extra 20 dollars worth of flowers to the order instead of refunding the delivery fee .... I ordered the deluxe Energetic Orange flower arrangement and I didn't see much orange. Got yellow roses, looks like red dahlias but could be daisies and greenery...no"unique pincushion protea, orange spray roses, or mini gerbera daisies". I'm very disappointed that they look like cut flowers stuck in a vase, not arranged even close to the picture--nothing special. I even upgraded based on the picture. I have never been more embarrassed about a gift. I ordered from FTD and the arrangement delivered was not even a loose interpretation of what was ordered. I have the pictures to prove it! Carnations were substituted for lilies and daisies in the place of Gerber daisies. Rose in pink tones substituted for deep purple (similar to the tone of wilted flowers) Seriously! I visited Rochester and went into carousel and I wanted some roses he quoted me Mike the manager quoted me two dollars a stem and I said that's fine paid for and paid for my other things got in my car went to the cemetery and drove back to Chicago when I came home I noticed my receipt that he charged me three dollars a stem not what he said I mediately called carousel the next morning and was told Mike was not there would call me back later that afternoon I called again he had an emergency he would call me the next morning when he failed to call me the next morning I called again and imagine he had another emergency the flowers were beautiful I was overcharged from what he told me would it be and I'm a little frustrated that he didn't have and didn't take the responsibility to call me back when I close it Rochester again I will buy my flowers somewhere else but I will always look at the receipt before I leave read more

In the stores, you'll find an abundance of beautiful items but the prices are shockingly high. Some friends sent flowers when my father-in-law passed away. The arrangement we received looked like all of the wilted flowers and been clipped off bluntly. What was left did not look fresh or like it would last more than a day. I knew that my friends would be stopping by the next day, so I called the store and let them know of the condition of the arrangement. They quickly sent a new arrangement but it looked cheap and not much fresher that the first. I would never recommend this florist! This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a flower company!! I order a bouquet from 1800 Flowers called "Shades of Purple" for my Mom for Mothers Day. I saw the bouquet that was delivered and there wasnt ANY purple flowers in the arrangement!! It was basically 4 white roses and greenery! I paid $80 for this arrangement! When I called to talk to Mike he was so rude and actually wanted my Mom to drive over to their shop and pick up a different bouquet! He said that they don't get the $80. So they just get to make up any arrangement that they want that looks absolutely nothing like what I ordered? Then he tried to say that maybe they delivered the wrong bouquet and when I wanted them to deliver the right bouquet, they wanted to take back the other flowers that they delivered!! I wanted to have flowers delivered to a nearby town and this time my budget is limited. I called Carousel and initially the man I spoke with seemed kind until I explained my budget of $45. I mentioned the website says $15 for delivery which would leave $30 for flowers. The man I spoke with retorted that no, it's $25 for delivery. I double checked the website and sure enough, it said $15 so I told him that and again he briskly said that it was $25. He sounded impatient. I thought that was odd since the discrepancy was clear. His tone and response saddened me because a kind "I'm sorry ma'am but we can't work within your budget" and an acknowledgement that the website was wrong would've been totally fine but instead he was short with me. It was weird. So, baffled, I said softly to him, "It's clear you don't want to work with me." and he agreed and told me to have a nice day! Wow.
