Absolutely the worst customer service! We got a washing machine from them in May of 2023 and have had nonstop issues within months of getting it. They have been out at least 4 times and just keep telling me I have to deal with whirlpool. Whirlpool has advised us that appliance village has to resolve this and put in proper tickets. Unfortunately, here's another example of Rochester's business model: July 30 2018: Peruse the floor...lots of people coming and going without any acknowledgement. Finally snagged an employee. Inquire as to stock (oh, not that one; oh, sorry we don't have that one either; oh, well we have one but it's already spoken for but let's see if we can snag it and order another for them). Finally opted for a model which required an order. "It'll be here in a week" (and invoice says it'll be in on 8/8). They direct you to an employee who "contracts" for install for cash discount (nothing shady there, right?). Get everything ordered and they'll call when it arrives. Aug 8, 2018: don't hear a peep. Call them. First person says "well, uh, uhm, can I put you on hold?" Literally 5 minutes later, he comes back on "well our order guy isn't here today so he'll call you tomorrow". Uhm, excuse me but do you have my dishwasher or not? "Well, it's somewhere between here and there." (Yea, sure, Timbuktu?). Fine, call me back. Aug 9, 2018: I get a call from original sales guy. "Hey, your dishwasher will be here NEXT Friday!" (He sounds excited about this amazing turnaround that's only 10 days later than expected!). My reply: "let's do this...give me a refund and cancel my order" (that you obviously gave to someone else like you originally tried to do for me on the sales floor). "Uh, uhm, okay we can do that." Great, thanks. (Another call, "uhm, our machine doesn't have any way of saving your information so you'll have to come in and process the refund....FINE!). In sum, go elsewhere unless you want the runaround and lies. Not for me! And if you have my dishwasher, shame on you! Meanwhile, 8/10, go to competition, get same brand, similar model dishwasher IN STOCK and ready for install next Wednesday 8/15. read more

Dean was a great help! I was looking for a LG dishwasher and the one I wanted was on sale for Black Friday, however it was backordered for a couple of months. He asked me my price range and the specifications I was looking for and found me a similar dishwasher that met all my needs and my budget. The best part was, I ordered it on a Wednesday and it was delivered and installed by a great plumber who Dean set up for me on Friday! He also went above and beyond to figure out what rebates I would qualify for through Minnesota Energy and RPU- this alone saved me another $75! I have a membership for appliance discounts through my home warranty service that Home Depot, Menard's, and Lowe's all don't even come close to, however the price at Appliance Village was $50 LESS than the discount membership. Amazing customer service. I will definitely be purchasing my other appliances here in the future! read more

Terrible repair experience for oven/range. Charged $440 and oven was still broken upon leaving and when called the same day to report this...I was told they couldn't take the part back as it was now "used" and "I had paid for it". Said they could come back out and look at it (over a week later mind you)...and charge me another $300+? No thank you. read more

Always looking to work with local business...GE induction range broke down first year, ultimately replaced by company (GE). LG washer required multiple service calls...still waiting for resolution a month into initial breakdown. Purchased two dishwashers from them...Whirlpool dishwasher sprung a leak first use. One I installed (Haier) and purchased from them still running. Their service department is always backed up so you wait. Staff friendly. But...as I look to remodel kitchen and upgrade appliances, I will look elsewhere. read more

Called appliance village for a repair of my appliance out of warranty. The person on the phone scheduled the appointment and advised that we could schedule and complete a visit without anyone being home. That was the plan but I actually was able to have my dad be present at home during the repair. The guy came, looked at the fridge, didn't do anything with it because it didn't seem to be doing what we said it was. Then He looked at the back of the oven, and said that it needs a new control board. At the conclusion of this, he refused to leave until he was paid. So my dad called me because this wasn't what we had agreed on. The guy calls his manager supposedly who tells him that he had called my wife and she said that she would provide a credit card. Not wanting to argue, I gave them my credit card info. They charged us $110. For doing literally nothing except for taking a look. The worst part, is I called my wife later and she said nobody called her. So they basically lied to us. To make things worse, the charge to fix the oven was $400. A brand new oven of same make and model was for $449. And the parts he looked for are available on Amazon for half the price he quoted. If you need an appliance repaired definitely don't use these guys. If you need a new appliance check elsewhere because clearly they over charge. And worst of all, he blatantly lied. I have bought many appliances from these folks. I have a Matag Maxima X washing machine I bought from them. This is a $1300 machine. Today it pulled a code that would not clear. I called them up and they told me they would not be able to get to me for 12 days. I have clothes locked and wet in this machine. This is totally unacceptable! I will not be buying anything from them in the future and I suggest that anyone reading this goes somewhere else to buy your appliances. Years ago they were the best. Just stopped in for a belt for my clothes dryer while in town. Didn't do any price comparing beforehand, because how much could it really cost? They charged me $50 for a large rubber band. I thought that was ridiculous so I looked around at what other places charge AFTER I went ahead and bought it. The next closest price was $25 for the exact same product. I feel bad for people who use this company for appliance repair. Their markup for parts is obscene. read more

Dryer belt broke over the weekend and after calling the store that I had purchased from, I tried here at my cousin's suggestion. Not only did they have a new dryer belt in stock, they recommended the Whirlpool part instead because it was the same thing and $20 cheaper than the Samsung version I was looking for. read more

After repeated attempts to fix a water leak in the refrigerator door dispenser, it was obvious there was a more serious problem from the company. Appliance Village supplied all the necessary paperwork to the company so that I received a new refrigerator identical to the one I purchased at no expense to me...still under warranty. Very expensive..stainless steel, French doors, bottom freezer...... Great service and super effort by Appliance Village. I got shafted by Best Buy. They gave me a date for delivery of my washer, then called to say they couldn't make the date. I called Appliance Village and they had the same machine and delivered it the next day. When I found out my machine was recalled-I didn't have to call them-they called me and we made a deal for an exchange. Great service. read more

Apparently we have a unique space where our fridge fits in our kitchen. We hit all of the big, name brand stores in town with very limited options for new appliances. We went to appliance village, where Brian was very helpful, patient, and answered all our silly, new home owner questions. Appliance village had just what we were looking for and now we have brand new appliances that fit perfectly in our kitchen. After purchasing three appliances with good results we asked their service department to change the way the doors opens on a refrigerator we purchased elsewhere because it had to be done by a Samsung technician, which they are. The service department man was not friendly, wouldn't even get up from his chair to talk to us and said he wouldn't guarantee the work. When we asked for a price estimate to do the work he gave us the service call charge plus parts & hourly charge. There wouldn't be any extra parts. We will not go back! read more
