We laughed so hard our three generation family when we saw Murder Ala Moliere: A 1970s group of actors are rehearsing Moliere's Tartuffe until disrupted by a series of mishaps and murder. We ate soup & sandwiches with a fantastic homemade dessert!! There is a full bar service during dinner. Fantastic simple food, honestly and well worth it! We were able to meet the actors after the show. Everyone is professionally trained in acting,dancing and or singing! Just amazing talent and high energy!! Excellent show tonight featuring Matthew Anderson, Pedro Coppeti, Megan Jane McGuiness, Monica Mangelson-Chieh Lu, & Morgan Siegel performing a medley of songs from Broadway musicals covering the last 100 years. I recently took a trip to Boothbay Harbor and was lucky enough to step into the Carousel. What a joy! I felt like I had stepped back to a simpler time. As we walked in we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats. We gave our drink orders and then our food selection from the simple yet delicious all inclusive menu. Our waitress was lovely and sweet and cheerful. Then the show began. What a pleasure to watch these talented singer/actors perform. The show was fabulous. I was so happy to relax and enjoy this wonderful performance in the warm and cozy atmosphere. If you find yourself in Boothbay Harbor, it's a must!! Don't miss it! read more

We love going to The Carousel Dinner Theater every summer with our grandchildren who can't wait to go. It is a fun night out with your servers also being the musical performers. The food is simple, but good, and they have a full service bar with adult beverages, The theme changes during the season, but we have always enjoyed the music & show. Call ahead for reservations to get the front row seats, but every seat in the house has a perfect view of the stage. We missed Rob's version of the song "Sara Lee" (he was away that night), which he has done every show in the past, which is a hit the audience. Everyone at the Carousel is very upbeat & engaging, and they have a meet & greet at the end of every show. We take a picture every time. It 's a fun night out in Boothbay Harbor, & I recommend it highly. read more

The so called 60's show was the absolute WORST entertainment I have ever experienced! WE wenrt as a party of 8 after reading all the great reviews. UPon arrival it was obvious that the theater was run down , the food was horrendous ( the owner even came out to apologize for the lack of certain promised dishes and the poor time management. The actual show was so painful to watch that we all left at intermission without dessert. The show had two microphones, one piano for music, no storyline poor acting., unprofessional set, and although some of the 4 people onstage had nice voices, they had no presence or any idea of how to entertain on a stage. I was SO ANGRY at having spent so much money wanting to suprise the members of my family visiting from Houston and very embarrassed at having chosen this rinky-dink horrible place. It made me look like a fool and if you are tempted by their fake reviews RUN RUN RUN to a another place for your entertainment. read more
