They began to clean up before 9, even though the dance went until 10:30. They took down decorations, tables and chairs to the point that there wasn't even a place for people to sit that weren't dancing. They moved people's stuff around to other places so they could take tables down which made it difficult for people to find their things. I looked at three other wedding venue locations in the same price range and none of them even came close to what this place offered. So if you are on a budget, this venue should already be at the top of your list. Staff: The staff here are phenomenal. No matter what you need, even the littlest of things, they are right there to help you. I didn't even need an actual wedding planner or personal attendant for my wedding because the staff here took care of EVERYTHING and they did it FLAWLESSLY! The bartenders were super nice and patient with our guests, they even took a photo at our photo booth for our guest book! It's always refreshing to see the staff having just as much fun as the guests! Food: We picked out our menu for the reception and went with the Top Sirloin and the Caribbean Chicken. Bother we're a hit, however the complements we got regarding the steak were the best. Even after the wedding, people still talk about how amazing the steak was! We had zero complaints all night regarding this venue. Everyone had an amazing time and my husband and I couldn't have had a more special day. The brochure and ads promoting this venue don't even come close to how amazing they actually are. They go above and beyond and I wouldn't recommend anyone else! If we had a bigger budget, we still would have held our wedding here. They are that good.

If you have already put a deposit down for your future wedding, I would go into it not expecting to see any of your extra paid for meals, and the staff doing nothing about wedding crasher complaints. My husband had to haul out wedding crashers himself, and when the issue was brought up to the bartender he said it "wasn't his problem". Our "point of contact" was never found and told about the issue. A groom should NEVER have to deal with this on his own. We never expected formal security, but we did expect the people in charge to take care of the issue. I am truly appalled with the way that one of the supervisors, Alex, treats complaints and the people they come from. After we saw no resolution from emailing back and forth with another employee, we chose to have a sit down and unfortunately Alex is who we were sat with. Never once did he take responsibility for the issues at hand, and instead flipped them around onto us and making it out to be our problem. He assumed that our issues were because of financial issues. We never once asked for a refund, nor did we expect one. Are we angry that money was wasted? Absolutely. But we're even more angry that nobody from this establishment would take the blame for their mistakes. It's disheartening that the people who work for this establishment do not care about their customers. When we could not come to any kind of middle grounds, we told Alex that we would be giving bad reviews and the response we received was "that's fine" so here I am. As we were walking out of the building, I could hear him talking about us with another employee. Extremely unprofessional on their part, as people in the customer service industry. I will be telling every future bride and groom to stay far away from Rockwoods, and to spend their money elsewhere.

There's a great clubhouse with a full bar and food. We had hot dogs and bratwurst which were very good. The staff is is friendly and helpful. Pace of play is excellent, 4 hours, no problem. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were well kept. There is a river that hugs a couple of holes to make it interesting. Other than one or two blind holes, as a first time player, the course was easy to understand where to hit. It was a challenging course. I enjoyed the variety or the holes. Staff was welcoming. The club house was able to accommodate our large group in the downstairs area. I am looking forward to come back and play my own ball.

The service and kitchen timing were unbelievably slow. Several tables around us were also clearly frustrated by the delays. I've honestly never waited almost two hours for food, especially for a pretty basic breakfast. When the food finally arrived, it wasn't worth the wait. Everything felt very basic and under seasoned, and half of us didn't even finish our meals. It really seemed like they were completely unprepared for brunch service. They were also already out of caramel rolls, which was disappointing. Overall, a really frustrating experience between the extreme wait time, poor execution, and lackluster food.
