The wrap and the sandwich were great. We saw wings and the club come out that looked really good as well. We were there on a football Sunday and had great service and it was a nice atmosphere. We will be back! Make sure to check out the beer of the month. Only $5 for a craft beer.

We are big fans of Midwestern bar food and this fit the bill perfectly! We were so happy to find this place and left feeling like we can't wait to get back. THE SERVICE! NEVER have we had such great service, and we have been to a LOT of great places. We sat at a high-top, not far from the bar, and were immediately taken care of. Our server, who I think was pulling double-duty as the bar tender, was so friendly and attentive and took our order immediately. We got our drinks and then our orders very quickly. While eating, we were checked in on by no less than FIVE different people, including the manager! AMAZING! We almost felt like celebrities! The FOOD! Without a doubt, the BEST jalapeno poppers we have had in the Midwest! I refuse to order poppers from bars as they are ALWAYS frozen products and have all the flavor of reheated cardboard. These were freshly made and PERFECT! I like jalapenos hot, but my wife can't handle as much heat - these were the perfect blend for both of us! Just enough heat with all of the great jalapeno flavor. My wife asked the server if the burgers were hand-pressed as we don't care for frozen patties, our server assured us they were and we were NOT disappointed! She ordered the Nashua burger and I ordered the River Road burger. We both ordered medium rare with jalapenos and they were PERFECT! Fresh - not pickled - jalapenos and cooked to perfection!! She got onion rings and I got the fries - both were fantastic! The ONLY thing that would keep this place from getting 5 stars is our drinks... This is the Midwest, and you need to pour a little heavier. We both ordered double talls and they felt super weak. My wife then ordered a double short Crown and Coke and even that was pretty weak. The green tea shot was delicious, but again... weak. Overall, we enjoyed our stop so much that we had to ask for the manager to compliment him on his amazing staff and food! Cannot wait to return!

We came for the $5 Burger & Bingo night. The burger deal is a hunk of meat & a bun (pickles were gratis). Everything else loaded on was a chargeable item. I had the plain burger & added my lettuce/tomato/onions from my side house salad. It did get crowded for the bar bingo, but our waitress kept bring us our beverages so we were happy.

Food was fine, but nickel and dime you for everything. I'm surprised we weren't charged for ketchup. Chicken parm served w fettuccini Alfredo. Chicken portion was very large and was cooked well. Chicken Philly was just ok. A bit greasier than I'd expect for a chicken sandwich (chunks of chicken vs sliced). Because the meat was cubed it falls out of the bun. I'm glad I added the peppers as there wouldn't have been much to the sandwich. Mushrooms added as well (was asked if I wanted mushrooms and pepper mix, I said yes, but wasn't aware they were extras). Very few mushrooms and the chipotle mayo isn't spicy. Was hoping this would have a kick to it but that was disappointing. A side of ranch is $0.50. I wouldn't say we won't be back but I'll definitely scrutinize the menu a bit more before asking for a recommendation and going with that. Service was also fine. We weren't greeted upon entry but once seated a manager brought us menus and drinks and took our order. He was great. Server who followed was fine, checked on us once, brought a refill, and then cleared our plates. There wasn't anything particularly special about the interaction but it wasn't bad either, so again just "fine". Ample parking and plenty of high tops, low tops and seats at the bars. Tons of TVs so especially good for football weekends.

I've been to Boondox a handful of times over the last year and I honestly don't have anything but good things to say. The space is pretty large. Lots of dining area, decent size bar and bar area, and big patio. Has your typical north Midwest feel. There are your expected domestic tap beers along with a few craft beers. Full bar. The food is actually damn good bar food. I've been told from staff it is all scratch made and I would have a hard time arguing. Service is always really good. Bartenders and servers are friendly even if you're not a regular/local. Not a place to drive out of your way for but absolutely a good stop if you find yourself in the northwest burbs and looking for a bite to eat and/or a drink. For comparison, Rockwoods is across the street and pretty popular. I prefer this spot. Follow me on IG: danny_runsforbeer

Wednesday night volleyball league! Sat outside with my sister in law. Really big menu. Likely have anything you might be craving! The server was funny and friendly! She had no issues with me asking for refills and making substitutions on my wrap!

The Packard, this is a 1/3 pounder, cheddar, bacon....heaven. Bbq sauce on the side.

Had the Packard burger again!! 3 visits 3 Packards. Flame broiled burger, Cheddar Cheese Topped with Bacon. Served with a side of their Signature BBQ Sauce. Fries were good, pickle spear is good. The also have the TouchTunes jukebox that works with an app so u can program your favorite tunes while you're there.

Spaghetti kids meal with fries. Well presented, good portions! Right on the mark.

Great food, family friendly and lively atmosphere! This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the Otsego/Elk River area. Service is always quick and friends. We had Aaron tonight who was attentive, informative, friendly and efficient. He knew the menu and business well and made us feel right at home. From what I could tell, we were only one of many tables he was serving. This was a busy Friday night and he was definitely putting in the effort while making it look easy. I had the Maciver Burger which is always a win. Cooked to order, crispy bacon, crispy onion straws and a sweet and earthy Bourbon glaze. I ordered the sweet potato tots for my side and could not have been happier. The lettuce wraps are refreshing and surprisingly filling, and the kids menu doesn't disappoint. My daughter ordered the salmon as she is wont to do (we have it at home for special occasions) and gave it very high praise. I could not be happier with our choice for dinner. We will keep coming again and again.

I sub on a sand volleyball league at Boondox on Monday nights so I'm there almost every week and I love it. I don't spend a lot of time inside but when I have, I've gotten great service from the bartender. It's usually the same guy and he makes sure to run my food out to my table when I order too close to game time which is awesome. The volleyball courts are great. I can't ask for more than food, drinks and volleyball! Sometimes it can get annoying because they have trees at the back of the courts and the ball rolls in there a lot but it's not that big of a deal. The nice thing about being outside is that at night they have heaters close to the building so you can stay warm on chilly nights in between games. The more I play here the more I think about just popping over on random nights to watch volleyball and grab a drink. The sunset is so pretty and it's so lively. They have bags outside too and a place to wash your feet if you walk in the sand. Plus, the servers are really attentive to the patio. Boondox is a really relaxed and fun place to be. Especially in the area.

Parmesan Crusted Walleye w/ 2 sides: green beans and mashed potatoes ($15)

I stopped into Boondox for dinner on a Sunday night. The weather cleared up, so it was perfect out for the patio. I was immediately impressed by the sand volleyball courts in the back. Boondox has such a spacious patio and the option of playing volleyball makes them stand out. My friend and I opted to just relax and watch the teams play against one another. My friend ended up ordering fish tacos ($10) and I got the parmesan crusted walleye which comes with two sides ($15). I got the mashed potatoes and green beans as my sides. Luckily, my friend got a beer and I got a Long Island to help pass the time because our waiter mentioned to us that the kitchen was having problems. Our poor waiter seemed to be the only person waiting tables on the patio, so it did feel swamped. We did not receive our food until over 45 minutes later. This was not a huge deal to us being that we were not in a rush, but just something to note if you're coming in on a weekend. Once we did receive our food and took a few bites, I have to say, it was amazing. The parmesan crusted walleye was so good and I liked the sides that came with it, especially the fluffy mashed potatoes. My friend enjoyed their fish tacos and said the only thing that could have made them better is if the seasoning had more spice to it. I would definitely come back here for their food. The volleyball games made for great entertainment however, another reason why I gave Boondox 4/5 stars is that the volleyballs went straight for our table twice. We narrowly missed getting hit in the head because of fly balls, so just be careful if you choose to sit on the patio while games are being played. It caused a bit of a stir when the balls would land on people's tables. All in all, not too bad! I think Boondox is a solid choice for Happy Hour and their patio area is sure to draw in the customers this summer.
