I have to say, I was pretty disappointed! I carefully planned the candle making class for my Mother's Day present. We got there early on Saturday to arrive to an extremely hot building, their ac had gone out. I was under the impression I had already paid for the event so we decided to stay and try to tough it out. They informed us they had water but didn't have cups, there is literally a restaurant next door that I would have asked them for some cups to help out my guest but the owner didn't think it was important to go get cups to provide for us in that heat! The class was pretty disorganized and all over the place. Everyone had too much down time with not much to keep us busy. I didn't ask why but they make us leave the candles and come get them the next day. They told us they would be there no problem and if we wanted we could even come Monday to get them. They were not there when we came Sunday and come to find out they're also closed on Monday & Tuesdays. I then came by Wednesday and to my surprise they were closed again. There was a sign on the door saying they closed early and would see us Wednesday- which it was. To help you understand, they also had us leave our names and phone numbers with our candles. With this being some people's presents they were making to give to their mom for Mother's Day, that definitely would not have been able to do so. And this was the experience I got for my mom to enjoy all week. You think they would at least call everyone and let us know when they were planning to open again so we could retrieve the candles we had already paid for. Which after the class they made us pay full price not even offering a discount for the inconvenience. We finally got ahold of someone on Friday and let them know we were headed to get the candles, she said awesome, I'll have them ready for you. And made excuses for why they hadn't been open. Said they decided to remain closed to get the air fixed. (Which, like I said, they should have called) We arrived, the air was still broken, and the candles were not ready. She never once apologized. Very unprofessional. Save your time and money. read more

My friends and I went to the Olfactory Candle Experience for a girl's day/birthday party afternoon, and we absolutely loved our experience. The class was super fun, you're allowed to sniff through a variety of scents, and the host of the class was bright and fun and super personable. It was fun sniffing our way through the scents to create our perfect candle. The actual making of the candle after choosing our scents was super easy as well. After the candle class, we also just enjoyed walking around and sniffing through all of the store's candles on offer, and my friends bought a variety of room sprays, incense, and more. The experience was $55 per person, which is pretty good for getting to make two candles of your own. I highly recommend getting a few friends together and having a nice afternoon out making candles! read more

What a fantastic shop and a fun experience! I attended a candle making event at Carpe Noctem and immediately loved the shop. The space is nice and open, the decor is unique and I loved the overall vibe. The owner of the shop greeted us and gave a run down of what we were going to do and encouraged us to browse the shop and take time to smell the scent options for the candles that we were going to make. The pouring stations were very organized and didn't feel overwhelming. Once I chose the scents for my candle, I went through the steps of mixing the wax and then pouring into the candle jars. Note: candles need to set overnight so if you are making it to give as a gift, be sure to allow extra time. If you are in a hurry, there are plenty of great candles and other fun products in the store that are ready to go. I would definitely go back for the experience and will go back to shop. Had the best experience with my girlfriends making candles and making memories. Nikki walked us through the process which was very easy and enjoyable. Anyone can do this! There were so many options of scents that it made it difficult to chose only one. Fret not, they have a selection of ready made candles for your choosing so you can leave with your favorite scents. My Wife took me to make candles and it was great! I had fun and it was only us including our instructor Madison! The place was very cozy and the atmosphere was great. I learned more about notes and more of what I thought I didn't like. Was offered 10% off since we can't light our candles until 2 weeks later. The class seemed to go pretty fast. Wasn't asked what was the occasion for but other than that everything was fine! Update- My Wife requested to sing Happy Birthday at the end of class. The occasion was never mentioned. Upon filling out the form you guys have on there what's the occasion. That is why 5 stars wasn't given. It was never mentioned. Could have been more fulfilling. And I'm not saying that I couldn't light my candle at all but to get more bang for my buck I rather wait for my candles to cure which wasn't or isn't a big deal! read more

Fun, informative experience! The instructor was so fun and warm! Very unique, catchy atmosphere with ample space for large groups (up to 24) people at once. The class that I attended was on my birthday and a Saturday and it was just amazing. Plentiful selection of candle fragrances in neat "themed" potion type bottles. Colorful matches, fragrant incense and other novelties to choose from. Great value for the experience with reasonably priced candles! I stumbled on this cute shop while waiting for my friend for lunch next door. I couldn't believe how cute everything was! The place is absolutely decked out in themes for each groups of candles. They had Vegas themed candles, their classic candles and so many more. They even had a pet Tartantula!! The woman working at the shop was soooo kind and helpful and did a great job explaining everything to me. There was so many candles to choose from that they even have papers and pencils for you to take notes. The candles are actually really decently priced for the amount and quality you're getting. I ended up leaving with Extraterrestrial Hwy and it smells so good. It was $20 for the candle, but like I said, you can't beat this kind of quality. They also offer candle making classes! I was able to tour the workshop area and it was so neatly set up with a bunch of stations. I'm definitely planning to do a class with all my friends!! This shop may seem cute upon first glance but is owned money hungry liars. My two daughters came in to buy me a gift for mother's day. They bought me a 9oz candle from the studio collection. The employee reassured them that it was a hemp wax candle (like stated on the container) that would even be body safe. I was delighted when my daughters gifted me this candle, i was excited to have a calm relaxing evening. Upon lighting, within 10-15 minutes, i had nasal congestion, coughing, wheezing, eye and skin irritation, and serious asthma symptoms. I have a serious coconut allergy. The scent definitely did not have coconut in it, given my daughters are aware of my allergy. Which is why they wanted to clarify the candle was safe. The only other time i had a reaction like this to a candle was when a coconut wax candle was lit on accident. My only conclusion is that they are not being honest about what products are used in their candles. read more

Super cute store! We went with a group of 7 and did the pour your own candle class. The owner, Nikki, hosted the class and showed us all the numbered scents we can combine to make our very own custom candle. The class let's you make two full candles (I ended up swapping one of my candles with a friend so we each got two different ones!). This is a great place to host a team building event, date night, or just something fun to do with your friends. We had a lot of fun and Nikki made it even more entertaining! I found this great little candle store in the village square shopping center. I wasn't going to stop but as I was driving by a felt really compelled to go inside. It's a small shop, but not crowded so it feels spacious. They have a nice nice lay out. Lots of candles and they keep the samples ones under glass cloches to keep the fragrance fresh, but also it helps to keep the candle scents from becoming overwhelming. The sales girl was super nice & informative without being pushy or clingy. She allowed me space to enjoy the experience. There is even a note card allowing you to make notions on your favorite candle scents. The candles are a tad pricey, but after bringing 2 home and lighting one I can definitely see why. It smelled delightful and it wasn't faint. I chose to burn the invigorate, it's from the summer collection. It reminded me of a beautiful tropical island with out smelling overpowering, or cheap. They also offer the ability to make your own candles & you can book events as well. This is a great alternative to other paint & palette party places. We spent time with the owner Nikki who guided us through the process (fabulous is an understatement, go bask in her glo & energy!!). After exploring the various scents we settled on our blend and created not one but two candles included in the price. Serious bang for your buck! Nikki schooled us on how to care for our candles and my home has never smelled & felt better than when I burn my custom candles.
