I spend a lot of time in my chair and, on occasion, fall asleep in my chair. Wednesday my wife thought my chair was beginning to smell a bit like body odor. So, she had a wonderful idea of spraying my chair with lavender scented air freshener! Good news - no more body odor smell. Bad news - The strong smell of lavender chemicals could be sensed throughout the house. A classic case of going from bad to worse. By Thursday we were in full panic mode desperately needing to have our fabric chairs steam cleaned. We did not know of a recommended company, so I went to Yelp. And this is where you Yelp reviewers add so much to our shared world! In San Diego there are enough companies performing steam cleaning to fill a phonebook. (Note to young Yelpers. Sorry, you have probably never seen a phonebook!). I conducted a Yelp search based upon "Highest Rated". I saw several highly rated companies but quickly focused upon Miracle Services Green Carpet Cleaning. I liked that Miracle is a veteran owned company and that owner Gary personally performs cleaning services. I phoned Gary Thursday afternoon and left a voice mail. Gary returned my call within maybe 10 minutes. Gary overviewed his cleaning process which uses no harsh chemicals, only eco-friendly products. Gary outlined his schedule openings for the following week. I pounced upon his first opening which was for 1pm the following afternoon. Gary phoned late Friday morning saying he had finished his morning job early and could be at my home by 12:30pm, if that worked for me. Hell yes, 30 minutes less time smelling lavender chemicals was greatly appreciated! Gary arrived and took stock of the situation. Our chairs sit on a custom tiled floor. Gary has experience with grout, was concerned for the high-quality tile and recommended we carry chairs to the garage for cleaning. I respected Gary's knowledge of both carpeted floors and tiled floors. Gary immediately started work. He ran hoses from his well-equipped van into the garage. Gary's van outfitted with a compressor provided high pressure steam and eco-friendly cleaning solutions to remove oils from chairs (or carpets). An hour and a half later Gary knocked on door from garage. Gary reported successful job completion and walked me through the process and results. What a relief - no body orders, chairs look new and lavender smell greatly reduced. Gary was kind enough to leave behind a small container of a chemical for final elimination of the lavender scent. When chairs dry from cleaning, we could mix chemical in a spray bottle with water. Then we can spray the chairs and eliminate lavender smell forever. Gary was kind to leave us the chemical as that eliminated need for a follow-up service visit. In summary, Miracle Services is a veteran owned business providing top quality steam cleaning services at very reasonable prices. Please call Gary next time you need steam cleaning services!
