We recently bought a home and needed to have the carpet and floors replaced before we moved in. Based on other great Yelp reviews, we stopped by the store one day and began working with Jim. He was super knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. With his guidance, we chose from several samples and are so happy with the carpet in the home. We also wanted to replace the carpeting in 2 of the bedrooms with the existing laminate that was already throughout the rest of the house. We found the matching floor at Lowe's and he was able to order it for us and have it installed within our 2 week deadline, as well. He went above and beyond to help us and was always responsive and beyond polite in his communication. I believe the prices were fair and comparable to the big box stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. I've waited a few months to write this review, and am even happier with my purchases now then when I walked out of the store. I searched online and in other box stores for area rugs for my living room and bedroom, but wasn't impressed or wanted to see/touch the rugs before buying. Happened to find this place through yelp and decided to give it a go! Amir, who is the owner and I think always there, helped me on both rug purchases. The first was the living room. I told him my concerns/wants and he asked questions (ex- high traffic area, pet situation, etc.) and actually took the time to educate me on the different rug options. While the prices are super fair and majorly discounted, you're still going to spend at a few hundred++ for a good 8x10 or larger rug, and I wanted to know what I was purchasing and get some personal help! These aren't your Walmart quality rugs, folks, and Amir is incredibly knowledgeable. He will help you :) When I went back a few weeks later to pick out an area rug for the bedroom, he thanked me for coming back and even threw in an expensive rug pad for free! While I don't have any other area rug needs at the moment, this would definitely be the first place I went to if the need arises! Several months after owning both rugs, I can state that the quality has exceeded my expectations, I felt great about the price paid, and I appreciated Amir taking the time to help without at all being pushy. He was extremely helpful in providing information that led us away from a stunning rug that was to go under our dining table that would have been damaged w/the 1st spill of anything on it. He assisted us in selecting a replacement. We were kept updated on the delivery progress. Due to how helpful Amir is, we chose to buy the rugs in store vs. finding them online for a bit less. We went in to look at carpet options for 3 bedrooms. Jim was very helpful in explaining the different types and things to consider. But what I appreciated most was that we found a carpet we liked at a big box store and went back in to talk to Jim to see if he had something similar for the same price. We wanted to go with him since he was so helpful and a local business, but he was completely honest and said the deal the big box store was offering was too good to pass up. He refunded our money for the scheduled measuring appointment and confirmed the specs/quality of the carpet we were going to buy. We were in need of new carpet for our new home we had purchased. Not knowing a lot about carpet, the manager Jim Gardner was extremely helpful. From the time we walked in until we left. He answered all our questions in a very professional and honest way. The installers he scheduled were also the same way. They cleaned the floors before they installed the carpet and after. They also made sure there were no issues before they left. Mr Gardner called back the next day to make sure everything was as it was suppose to be. I highly recommend this store to anyone. There quality, price and customer service can't be beat. It was well worth the money we paid out. read more

I was in twice before I purchased my rug and Amir was very friendly and patient both times. He was helpful but not at all pushy; he let us browse and offered suggestions when asked. Drove by here one day and while it doesn't look like much from the outside, I found two rugs that I liked in store. Amir was a pleasure to work with. Do NOT go here - they are a bunch of crooks. Me and my wife visited and found a carpet we liked. The carpet comes in three grades - 60, 50 and 40, 60 being the most plush and 40 being the least. Me and my wife decided to splurge and go with the most plush grade, the 60, as we wanted some nice comfy carpet to walk on. We paid our deposit and Amir called me a couple days later and we set our date. Today we just had the carpet installed, and when me and my wife walked on it we noticed it wasn't as plush as thought it would be. I called Amir and he assured me that the carpet we got installed was the 60. I repeat, when I called him he told me the carpet in our house was the 60. It stuck in my head all day and I was sure I had been taken advantage of, so I took a sample of the leftover carpet to the store to compare with Amir. He took out the carpet book and tried to convince me at first that the carpet I had brought in was the 60, but it was noticeably different and it was clearly the 40. He still kept trying to convince me that my carpet sample was the 60 but when he saw I wasn't buying it and I was getting angry he changed tactics, and he pulled out my order form and lo and behold the name for the 40 grade carpet was written on there. At this point I became very angry. I reminded him that over and over again my wife told him we wanted the 60 and that the price he quoted me was for the 60. He was now saying that what was written on the order form was the 40 grade and that was the price he quoted me. (I know it's my fault I didn't double check all this before we paid our deposit, but stupid me I thought I was dealing with a reputable business). The price he quoted me was $2,097 and my square footage was 480, which comes to $4.37 per square foot, which seemed incredibly high for that quality of carpet with install but which he says is the price. He was now saying that the price of the 60 grade was around $7.50/sq ft which sounds absolutely unrealistic if you have been shopping for carpet, and sounds like a number he had just come up with. I asked him over and over again why he would write the low grade carpet on the order form when me and my wife had said we wanted the high grade? He would never give me a straight answer and just kept deflecting. At this point it had become apparent to me the scam he had pulled was when me and my wife went in to order the carpet, he wrote the name of the bad quality carpet on the order form unbeknownst to us with our correct carpet color (how are we supposed to know the name of the carpet?), and he then made us think we were getting the 60 grade carpet, and we paid the 60 grade carpet price. This is why he told me that the carpet installed in my house was he 60 and why he tried to convince me my sample was the 60 as well. I then asked him to show me the actual price of the carpet - I wanted to see where it was written what the actual price of both carpets were. He gave me an incredulous look like I had two heads and said the price isn't written anywhere. Silly me! What a stupid request I guess! He was either lying to me about the price of the carpet or he just comes up with numbers in his head. I told him I knew he was scamming me and I wanted him to refund me the difference in price. He refused and told me that the order form stated it had the 40 on it. I knew I had no leg to stand on as that what was written on my order form so I left with a few choice words and telling him he was a crook. Again, I know this could have all been avoided if I had double checked the order form before paying my deposit, but why would you want to shop somewhere where you have to double check to make sure you aren't getting ripped off? Please do yourself a huge favor and stay away from here. I have learned my lesson. read more

I checked a few other stores in the area that looked liked good options, but didn't find anything less expensive that looked good and not cheap until I went to this store. Just like everyone else I am very pleased with the service from Mr. Amir. Helpful with the questions I had about my current and future needs. I was torn between two area rugs for my living room. Amir was incredibly helpful in selecting carpets for my home, and gave me a very fair price. I was preparing my house to put on the market for sale, but I live out of town and was unable to see the carpet selection in person. Amir went to the house and chose a suitable carpet, and gave me a very good price. After it was installed, my realtor went and had a look and said that the carpet looked fantastic! We have been looking for the past few weeks for a nice quality rug for our den. We had done some remodeling and wanted nice materials to compliment the new furniture, etc. After days of searching through the boutique rug stores around Charlotte, we landed in Carpet & Rug. The store offered more than I had anticipated. Amir, the store mgr., started working with us, showing us items that would compliment our furnishings and colors. It didn't take long for him to home-in on just the perfect rug. He provided everything we needed.... a quality rug, a large selection from which to choose, he kept us within our budget and best of all.... he is a nice person to do business with!!. Needed to re-carpet a townhouse for rental. Amir helped us pick the right carpet to fit our needs and budget and was able to put together an estimate that was only slightly higher than a big box store. Customer service overall was stellar -- Amir was always responsive and the carpet was installed quickly after installation. When the installation was complete, he followed up to let us know it was done and ask for input. It was perfect! He had guided us to a good choice of carpet type and the installation looked flawless. I think they may have left my place even cleaner than when they got there! We are very happy with both their service and their work and will be using their services again any time we need flooring or carpeting done. read more

We made a trip out to look at rugs after validating that they were supposed to be open by phone and website, when we got there all doors were locked. Even the signs on the door said that they were supposed to be open. We called while we waited in the parking lot to see if maybe someone was just where we couldn't see them but after waiting on hold (which said they were supposed to be open) for 10 minutes we decided to leave. read more
