He taught me so much about carpet pad and types of carpet. I explained where the carpet was going and my usage and he pointed me in a different direction for carpet choices. The crew assigned was top notch. The lead on my job has been with the company for over 20 years. Seams look great. The stairs look great. The overall job was very professionally done. Tremendously Over-priced for the Quality of Work The best…read morething I can say about this company is that they were very friendly and helpful, when you are able to contact them. Slow and Poor Communication We set up our bathroom remodel on August 22nd 2015. We were given a starting date estimate of late October; an understandable 2 month wait for the project to begin. The end of October came and went, however, with no information from them. We began contacting them early and mid-November, however our emails and telephone calls went largely unanswered. I was half convinced they had taken our deposit and ran with the money. Eventually, we did get a response mentioning that other projects had taken longer than expected and we were now scheduled for some time mid-December. Mid-December rolled around and they made their first visit to the house since the design visit. Unfortunately, they did not have the tub we had ordered. We would have to wait an additional week. Since it was now Christmas, work was not going to start until the end of December/beginning of January. We had been waiting a little over 4 months for this project to start. The estimated time for the job (moving a toilet over a foot, installing a larger tub and tiling the back) was 7 days. The project took 21 days to complete, three times as long as the estimate. As this is our only bath with a shower/tub available, we were without it for nearly a month. There were no solid reasons or explanations given for why things took so long, but there were plenty of apologies. Poor Workmanship In addition to the project taking so long, considering the price they were asking for a relatively simple bathroom remodel, the quality of work was terrible. Foremost of the problems was that our brand new several-thousand-dollar tub, had a gouge put into the side. Our new shower curtain rod also had the finish scratched in several places after installation. The floor trim they removed was replaced but now broken and chipped on the edges. Tiles were miscut and cracked. Some tile edges were sawn very roughly and look damaged compared to the other ones. The shower rod curtain is missing screws holding it in place. Tiles were laid crooked. The tub faucet and shower head seem as though they were tossed on without any care. The latter is both loose and crooked. Little Care Over Work After pointing out many of the more obvious problems in the work, and to the company's credit, they tried to fix everything and make things right. If we had not mentioned anything, they would have moved on without a word. Interestingly, two weeks into the job - none of the supervisors showed up again. It felt as though they had left the project half done and moved on to other things. With such a paradigm and seemingly little consideration for us, I felt equally uninclined or interested in sending them their final payment for finishing the job. There have been no follow-up calls or inquires. They simply left, expecting the final check. Summary While the people are friendly and pleasant, I would very much consider a different company for further remodeling work. They were slow, sloppy, and for the amount they ask - overpriced considering the job they've performed. We did end up with a nice new tub, but I can't say I'm completely happy with the end result or the process to get it.
