VERY POOR SERVICE ALL ROUND! Would not use again and certain not recommend!! My parents used carpet Cuts to purchase a carpet for their stairs and landing. They chose a carpet and ordered. Carpet Cuts called them about a week or two later to say that the carpet wasn't available so they had to chose another and when choosing the man at the showroom kept saying to their choices "oh we can't get that". Once chosen, they chose a day for fitting, Tuesday afternoon on the following week and were told payment for the carpet was upfront. My dad rang to pay the same day and check fitting and was told they hadn't been booked for Tuesday, nothing on their paperwork (no computer system of any type) so it would have to be Friday afternoon now. Friday afternoon has come round and they have been told the van has broken down and it may or may not be tomorrow afternoon but they cannot guarantee. They have waited in all day as a result and still have no carpet. They have phoned and the man spoken to was useless, couldn't tell them anything because he didn't have any clue. Very empty apologies! The website talks about "experienced and reliable" fitters but the experience we have had has been anything but that!! The carpet and fitting was competitively priced but for all the hassle of trying to get a decent service it would be worth going with a company that's more expensive and more experienced! AVOID THE COALVILLE BRANCH! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OUTRIGHT RUDE!!! (MAKE SURE YOU READ TO THE END BEFORE USING THESE) If I could give a MINUS STAR review I would! - STARTED OF LATE WITH NO COMMUNICATION - We booked in to have someone come round at 9:30am today, at 20 to 10 we had received no communication and no one had turned up, we rang to ask where they were and they said 'oh they set off late and will be with you in shortly" - NOW 40 MINUTES LATE WITH NO COMMUNICATION - 30 minutes later at 10 past 10 we still had no communication and nobody had arrived (so 40 minutes late in total). We called them again and asked where they were to which we were told they would be here shortly as they are in loughborough. We told them that is what you said 30 minutes ago so could you ring the driver and ask where he is. - REFUSED TO FIND OUT WHERE THE DRIVER IS - The guy on the phone refused to ring him and said that he can't and just stated 'look he'll be there sometime soon'. We told him that we run a business and have booked this time aside to have him come round so we really need to know where he is and what time his driver/fitter will be here. - THREATENED TO CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT - The guy on the phone said, 'right i'll just ring him and tell him not to bother and cancel it then!' We said 'that's not what we said, we said we want him to come but we need to know where he is as he is 40 minutes late and we've had no communication at all from you as to why or where he is' The guy on the phone said, 'well you're not happy with the service so we'll just cancel it, i'll tell him not to bother coming' - IGNORANT AND INCOMPETENCE - We brought it back to the point that we want the guy to come but he kept saying 'i'll just cancel it because you're not happy with the service. I found it odd that he was 'unable' to call the driver to find out where he was but he was suddenly able to call the driver to tell him not to come. If this is how the manage the simple task of turning up to your house, then i can only imagine the terrible approach they must take if you make the mistake of having them fit your carpets. If I could give no stars I would. Customer Service was terrible from the Coalville branch. We had an appointment booked in for 9.30am and after 10 mins of no show, we rang to ask where the guy was. We were told he's on his way he's been delayed. 10.10am comes around and we are told the same thing. We run a business and have calls to make and meetings to attend. We can't be dithering around with incompetent people who cannot make an appointment in time. Anyway, after I explained that he had told me this 25 mins ago, he said well I'll just tell him to leave it then. You're clearly not happy with the service so I'll just tell him to leave it. I said "why would you cancel it? I just need to know how long he's gonna be coz I'll need to reschedule otherwise" he then just kept repeating himself that he will cancel it because he can't take ownership for messing it up so badly. He also tried to tell me that he's apologised so what else do I want. At no point did he apologise. I'm a great believer in that how you do anything is how you do everything. If you are 40 mins late to an appointment with no communication, what else are you gonna drop the ball on? I mean what a great way to see how not to do business. read more
