Inferior installation and arrogant responses over a four day+ period of stupidity and neglect. Shop leadership doesn't communicate with consumer, installer, or one another. Installer treated with disrespect from the shop translating to panic and aggression toward the consumer. Total lame show all around. I will have to replace this crap in less than a year- my money and time are worth far more than what Carpet Depot delivered. Gross miscalculation on my part- should never purchase carpet from a showroom full of men sitting behind a counter pontificating about baseball. read more

I just purchased a home and wanted a large part of the lovely hardwood floors covered because I have back problems so I needed something soft to walk on. Do you need carpet quickly with a company that is straight-shooting and delivers on their word, without game-playing? Go to Carpet Depot in Ocean Township. We had just been given the run-around from Lowe's, telling us the carpet had to be "produced" in Georgia, and after that it would take several more weeks to get it to us, making installation in Dec or Jan. Blah, blah, blah. We walked out, and the next day found Carpet Depot on the internet. We drove there on a Friday; talked to Bob, Keith and Connor; picked out a carpet; house was measured 2 days later; carpet was in stock but needed to be delivered. They said it would take 3-5 days to get it, and when it wasn't delivered to them in that time frame... get this... Keith went and picked it up himself. The installation guys came this morning at 8:30 to install 3 rooms, and were finished at 11:30. Beautiful job from start to finish. We are SO HAPPY we walked out of Lowe's and into Carpet Depot. They were all PHENOMENAL! read more

After visiting Avalon Flooring several times looking for carpeting for my stairs and never receiving a phone call with pricing, I visited Carpet Depot. I was so impressed by the willingness of all the salespeople to help me and each other! No cut throat competing with each other. Last year we went to Avalon Carpet....needing carpet to finish a project ASAP......after shopping for awhile we decided on a carpet....only to find it would be 4-6 WEEKS to have installed....so we left....I then recalled Carpet Depot....over we went....they could not have been nicer or more helpful...picked out a carpet and it was installed two days later! Bob is wonderful to work with!!!!! Today we were there for carpet for a small room.....suggested a remnant....picked out a great carpet! It will be installed on wednesday!!!!! Also.....he had all our records from five years ago so in the spring it will be a breeze to order a replacement for our master bedroom deck....outdoor carpet and have that installed quickly....I highly recommend Carpet Depot to all my friends and relatives! We had a great experience ordering an area rug from Carpet Depot. After ordering two custom rugs from Avalon and waiting over a month for our delivery, we decided to give this smaller shop a try. Bob was very helpful in the showroom and gave us a couple of quotes before suggesting we look at "remnants" (i.e. precut carpet) to make our custom rug out of. We ended up getting a fantastic price on a custom rug, which was cut, bound, and delivered less than a week after visiting the showroom! read more

I'm so disappointed in my new floor. I (mistakenly) put my trust in the salesman/owner because I was too busy to shop around. I told him what I wanted, picked out the floor, paid a deposit, and went on my way. A couple of days before installation, I reviewed everything, compared it to another floor company, and was blown away that first of all it was almost 3 times as much as the other company, and second that it was being installed differently than what I told him I wanted. When I called him to cancel he was rude and obnoxious. He told me he didn't twist my arm to buy from him. Well, he sure twisted my arm in not letting me cancel. Next time I will go to Lumber Liquidators, Home Depot, or even the floor man next door. read more
