I have no idea why there are negative reviews for this business. ‍ I started dealing with Carpet Depot over a year ago. I live in a rental house, where I had put in carpeting (using another carpet business). While I looked after the carpet, it became very worn and I could not get it clean any longer. I went back to the place I bought the carpet from, and learned that my color was discontinued. I sought to match the carpet, which is how I found Carpet Depot. Angel (the sales rep at Carpet Depot) is very aptly named. This man only wants to help his customers. I drove to his location with a small sample of my existing carpet and he matched perfectly. Moreover, the carpet quality was much better than I had before and the price was very reasonable. The installers, (Sergio and his colleague) were incredibly professional. Not only did they do an amazing job of the carpet installation, they were very respectful towards me and with my property. I can't say enough good things about Angel, who took the time during his vacation to get my order placed one year after I first spoke with him. I was SO glad the carpet was still available. I had guests I had not seen in a many years coming for a visit, so I wanted my house to look nice. Thank you again for Angel for the great service. The carpet looks and feels GREAT! read more

VISIBLE MOLD and water damage found in our apartment yet these idiots deem this as safe. RUN away from Carpet Depot, don't walk - RUN. These people are criminals and scammers, DO NOT do business with them. They were sent to our apartment to assess water damage on our floors from a leak that had been going on for WEEKS. Water was coming up through the seams of the floor boards and mold was found under two panels that were pulled. There was visible bubbling and water damage on our floors, they didn't remove any other panels and they cleared it as "safe and no replacements needed". HOW can you see mold and deem this safe? What kind of corrupt company are you running? You should be ashamed of yourselves. 0 stars, I will be reporting you to the city and health department. On top of it, they are blatantly rude and the representative hung up on me when I called to ask for the report for our unit. read more

I am so glad I found Carpet Depot!! I did extensive research here on Yelp, which I always recommend you do. I got a few estimates to get my kitchen linoleum floors redone. I was planning to get the rest of my house dark cherry hardwood floors changed to a light grey-ish hardwood and I wanted the kitchen linoleum to match the new look as much as possible, without having to put wood in the kitchen. Most of the other estimates I received were higher (or lesser quality for the same price at places like the Home Depot etc..). Clint's estimate at Carpet Depot was super timely, and very cost-effective, and zero pressure. Plus Clint was happy to send his associate to start right away and get the job done in a day, even over a holiday weekend, while the other companies wanted to wait till "after the holidays", when I would have been busy with work. I chose this company because I liked the quality of the materials they offered and the reasonable price: I could not be happier with my choice and I could not recommend Clint and Carpet Depot more highly :) His associate came on time, finished a beautiful job: it was done both fast and precise. A few hours after he left, I made the mistake of moving my appliances back in the kitchen on my own (don't do what I did and instead hire Carpet Depot to move your appliances!!!) - one of the fridge's wheels was wonky and put a massive gash in the brand new floors. I literally cried. I called Carpet Depot, yep, crying, but Clint was already because it was a holiday, and the store was closing in 30 minutes. Angel answered the phone and within an hour he was at my house and reassured me he could repair the gash in such a way that I could not even see where it was. I mean he definitely carries his name well!! In just under 1hr he fixed everything, and it was exactly as he said: he repaired the gash in such a way that I could not even see where it was!! And he did not even charge me for it!! I only wish I had more floors to give them :) If I ever expand my kitchen, I will be calling Clint & Angel at Carpet Depot for sure as I know they will deliver. If you are wondering ..is it going to be worth it?..should you do it? I say go for it and do it with Carpet Depot. I am very happy I did! And the linoleum looks elegant and classy, matching the light grey-ish hardwood floors of the rest of the house, just like I wished. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. We had a leak in our kitchen. Water was seeping through the cracks of our floors. You could literally walk on the floor and water would come through the cracks. Our maintenance guy removed a couple of the floors boards and unfortunately mold has been building up for sometime. Our management company had Carpet Depot evaluate our place only to tell them there was no problem and the floors were "Fine." So now our management refused to fix the problem. We had an inspector come to our house and informed us that there is definitely mold buildup under the floor boards and everything must be replaced for it's a health hazard. We called them asking why they felt that our floors were fine, the guy was extremely rude and just hung up the phone. These people are unprofessional, they don't know what they're doing honestly. Don't ever hire these people to work on your floors. Don't waste your money. You'll absolutely regret it. read more

I personally really appreciate the quick professional manner in which Clint helped us out. We had a couple issues with carpet rolling in two apartments and he sent someone out promptly to fix the issue. One of the tenants was unable to move the furniture so Carpet Depot did it for us and then corrected the rolling carpet. Fast, professional and friendly. read more

I have used Carpet Depot two times now and have been pleased with the price, service and installation both times. The first time, I just had carpet installed in one room of a condo. The price was great, and what could have been a scheduling headache was made simple by Carpet Depot's coordination with other work that was going in my unit. The second time I used Carpet Depot I had hard flooring and carpet installed in a different unit. Choosing the material was easy as they took time to explain material differences and compare lots of different cost combinations. The scheduling worked out great as the hard flooring installation guys arrived first, tore out old carpet and got to work installing laminate. They were even able to get rid of serious squeaking of the sub-flooring which was incredibly impressive and much appreciated. The carpet installer arrived later and tore up and replaced carpet quickly. Minor issue with a door that they were able to come back and touch up. Would definitely recommend and use again. read more

I am sad to say that I was a five star customer before but after my last experience, I am truly disappointed. I went to Carpet Depot with our first home purchase, the staff was great, informative and gave us exactly what we wanted. We loved them so much that we wanted them again when we moved. Once again, the staff was informative, friendly and listened to our concerns. This is where the two star rating comes in. We were set up with a scheduled time, the last slot of the day, lesson learned--never again. The installers came late (but that's not a big deal, we understand things happen), they rushed through the job, made lots of noise during the evening and close to bedtime for our neighbors, left highly visible seams, reassuring us they would go away with time and the stairs are a mess with fabric hanging over and left untucked. The noise got so bad at night that I had to ask them to stop and return the following day. As a worker, I wouldn't be happy to hear this news and I know they weren't happy by the looks on their faces. They returned the following evening, finishing the job. Being told the seams would go away after six months did not happen. I called Carpet Depot and unfortunately this is where customer service turned. I explained the situation and I felt like I was inconveniencing them to return and fix the error. After a couple follow up phone calls they came over and tried to fix the seams and overhang. I can tell by the fixer's face that this was not a satisfactory job. He was here a while trying to clean up what was done. The end result, still visible seams, a messy staircase and disappointed customers. It has been close to two years. I have put off writing this review because I don't want to be "that guy" but I can't help but feel disappointed and cheated out of a good job whenever I pass through and see the unprofessional look that I once had back at our old home. What would I advise to you? Schedule an early time so you don't get installers that are tired and fatigued at the end of the day, the work will show in your home. I'm not going to say, don't use this place because I was really happy my first time, and I would like to think that everyone has a "bad day" but we are certainly continuing to feel the result of an unprofessional job. Hopefully they will live up to their standard with you that we once experienced back at our first place. read more

I've been waiting 2 weeks to get my carpet installed, and they haven't even placed the order yet. In fact, I'm still waiting for them to come back to show me a sample and take my deposit. Horrible customer service. Clint, either the manager or owner, has been extremely poor with communication in general and doesn't really update me on anything. Any time I've found out new information (except for once), it's because I've called several times to find out what's going on. When I talked to him yesterday, he said he was doing his best to accommodate my location which is only about 25 minutes away from him. I'm glad you're trying to "accommodate" but that doesn't mean you can't at least pick up the phone and call me back with the information you said you would find out for me. For any future customers, just take a look around and find a few places that you feel you can go to, as reliability here will leave you severely disappointed. read more

We came here looking for Shaw flooring products after finding what we wanted but then getting the shady runaround from a flooring store in Burbank as part of the Costco Flooring Program (quote written on a business card; refused to answer emailed questions about padding, specific square footage, etc.). So I called Shaw directly and they recommended Carpet Depot. Angel at Carpet Depot beat the other's price by about 15% (even with the Costco "discount") and worked with us on installation so I could be home with our dogs during my school break, which meant he ordered and then stored our materials in their warehouse for 2 months. Job was about 2,000 sq. ft. with a combo of Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring and high-grade carpeting/padding and took 5 days from beginning to end. Sergio and his assistant did an incredibly precise installation on the carpet and the floating floor, with factory-stained moldings to match. Our home is a mid-century modern, historically protected (HPOZ) home, so it has some challenges, hence I cannot emphasize enough the stellar job Sergio (I think of him as "Sergio the Surgeon") did. Bottom line? We got a top quality, beautifully installed floor and saved $1500 over Costco's price even with Costco's 10% Gift Card rebate. Plus, we were treated professionally by everyone at Carpet Depot (Angel, Clint, Sergio, and his hardworking assistant whose name unfortunately escapes me). We cannot imagine being happier with our gorgeous new floors, the courteous service we received, and the reasonable price we paid. Thank you, Carpet Depot! read more
