Gee Jays is a local bargain hot spot. It has 2 floors of various items, from tea towels, to…read morestationery, to power tools. It is worth looking in Gee Jays before buying anything from B&Q or similar places. They have stock clearance items and regular stock as well. The stock varies widely and is regularly updated to accommodate seasonal stock. If you are doing a spot of DIY I imagine you can get everything from here, as they have paint, brushes and cleaning equipment. The main downsides to this shop are: 1) Parking, there are a few spaces on the road outside, but the shop is a 5 min walk out of town; 2) Accessibilty with wheelchair, pram or similar. I find it hard to navigate a pram around, so have to make arrangements to go there on my own.

B&Q Somercotes (not Alfreton as said) is small in nature and as such does not have a great amount…read moreof stock. Staff are often helpful though, my mum is a regular and they know her needs well so she's often in and out in about 5 minutes! The area in itself is rough although we're not reviewing the town itself so I won't go into detail. I would only recommend this to a customer who needs little DIY needs, otherwise go to B&Q Extra in Sutton, there's 3 buses that go straight there from Somercotes anyway!

Quality of the door is good. However customer service is terrible. I had to wait almost 2 months…read morefor an installation date, and when the door was finally installed there were a number of problems. Numerals ordered were missing. Wrong handle installed and the silicon around the edge of the door came apart within 1 hour. Called up Yale to ask when this would be corrected only to be told by the customer service rep that they would look into it and get back to me. (No sense of urgency along with a blarzay attitude). No response the next day so decided to call back only to be told that it's on their todo list and that it could be next week until the parts arrived. Will not be recommending them!
