Gave me a quote (best one I got) over the phone and set up an appointment with him. He was very fast to respond to text messages and phone calls. Took my car in around 12:30 and I was out of there in around 3 hours. Had a Compustar alarm / remote start system with X1 Drone module. Everything was installed perfectly. He even integrated my factory fob to work with the system. I loved dealing with Angel, very honest and knowledgeable as he's been working on stereos and alarm systems for almost 2 decades. I would take my car/s to him again in the future. Angel, you've got yourself a new regular customer! Thanks again!

I recently had a frustrating issue with my Prius--the factory head unit kept malfunctioning, freezing, and shutting off randomly. It was driving me nuts, so I tried the cheap route first: I bought an aftermarket unit from an overseas seller and attempted a DIY install. Big mistake. Despite watching YouTube tutorials and reaching out to the company, nothing went smoothly. The new unit caused all sorts of chaos--gauges lighting up with warning lights, hybrid system errors, and other glitches. By 3 a.m., I gave up, swapped the OEM unit back in, and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, the cheap head unit had messed with my car's computer, leaving me with persistent gauge and hybrid warnings even after reinstalling the original stereo. Angel did a terrific job installing my Audio-Vox W7 backup camera. Instead of using the included crimp connectors, all connections were hand soldered for long-term reliability! Although not included in the kit, he used grommets wherever cables passed thru walls. read more

Had an excellent experience with Carpio Audio Car getting an audio diagnostic performed. The owner Angel is an extremely knowledgeable and honest technician that offers great prices and honest work. Went above and beyond explaining what the exact issue was, teaching me about the system my car had and why the issue occurred, and offered genuine advice on getting my audio system restored. I seldom write reviews for any business, but when I do it is extremely warranted. I'm not super literate when it comes to car audio. I just wanted to sound nice. So before heading to Carpio I've called around getting quotes, what brand is being used, and turn around time. Majority of those calls being what I thought was a good deal, to finding out I was being upsold with an amazon brand subwoofer with poor reviews, or just having flat out terrible customer service and not wanting to deal with over the phone quotes or give any advice or guidance. Carpio Audio Car was going to be my last call of the day before I tried other Businesses open during the week days only. Angel the owner answer my call right away. Off the bat Angel was extremely understanding and helpful. I told him my needs which he assessed and provided the recommended the proper upgrades. What was awesome of him is that at one point I mentioned I was thinking about also doing an 4 channel amp and see if it would be better but he said himself he doesn't want to upsell any of his customers. He recommended I just do the low profile sub with a built in amp, and see if it does the job instead of blowing more than $1000 right away and realizing I didn't need all of that work done. Very hard to find these types of business owners anymore. One side note is that if you plan to wait there at his business, the waiting room has food and drinks for you while you wait. Another worry I had was quality of work. When Angel was done everything was very tidy. I would say I has some OCD because I like certain things organized and symmetrical and he installed everything in my eyes, perfectly. There were no scratches to any trim of the car or any overly exposed wires. Everything was hidden very well. Once nice edition was before stalling the subwoofer knob, he asks you where you would prefer it installed instead of just flat out installing it somewhere random. Once everything was done, Angel does give you a limited warranty with the workmanship he provided as well as the product itself. Over all my experience has been amazing and would personally recommend him to all my family and friends. A++ read more

They asked if I wanted to keep the steering wheel control functions, which I did... so he mentioned what else I needed in order to keep them functional with the new stereo. He asked if Android Auto / Apple play is important to me, and if i wanted it wired/wireless. This day in age, we want everything wireless and convenient, so I said yes to the wireless feature! I mentioned I was interested in component speakers for the front doors, and he suggested where to install the tweeters, and also told me I would need some mounting plates for the dashboard for the tweeters. This way I dont have to drill a hole in the door panel. All in all... Its nice to have someone ask the right questions to ensure I had everything I needed to complete the installation over the weekend, because I would not have had the tweeter mounts if he didnt ask about my installation. I would like to mention that I wanted to have everything I needed for the weekend installation project, so I didnt check around for lower prices, but when I got home... the "Asian habits" in me decided to check prices on Amazon, and Guru's prices were either on par... or slightly below Amazon's prices! I didn't know what to expect coming here... I waited at the front of the garage for about 15 minutes. There was a guy smirking in the front, doing something with cables, 2 other people working on a car, and another guy going in and out doing some kinda repair work on a truck outside. None of them said hi to me. But I know they all saw me. It was very weird. Finally after about 10 minutes of waiting (I figured maybe the owner was on lunch, since this was about 1pm), I walked up to the smirking guy and asked if the owner was here. Then he just nodded and pointed to the right, which was a very small aisle BEHIND a big stack of boxes. It was very off-putting. But I was here, and I had a time crunch. The actual owner was nice... he asked about my car, and then showed me some models. I made a purchase, and he told me to come back in 2 hours. I walked to a nearby Carls Jr, about 7 mintues away. 2 hours later, right on the dot, I get a call to get my car, and they close sharp at 4:30p. The same guy who was walking in and out (remember fixing the truck), was the one who showed me how everything worked, helped me pair my phone. I paid about $950 after taxes. I don't know if that's a good deal, but everything works well, no scratches around the dash. If it weren't for the unwelcoming first impression, this would be a 5 star for me. I wanted to give them 3 stars, but this is clearly a small business owner. My hope is they read this and work on their welcoming attitude.
