But beyond that they also have really good food items inside of their shop. The salad dressing we got has been one of our favorites in a long time. They have maple syrup and tons of fruit and lots of candy especially right now :-) I like to stop by here every week or so to just see what's going on and all of the staff are really nice people.

It's hard to believe this peaceful farm exists less than a half hour from downtown Cincy! Gretchen runs the farm and is always so kind and patient! I don't have a farming bone in my body, but Gretchen has taught me so much already! By the end of the season, with her help, I'll be a pro! The farm also occasionally holds various events like classes, festivals, weed dating (yup!), and dinners. It's a great space! The farm stand just opened for the season and you can check it out Fri 6-8, Sat/Sun 10-2. Oh! And the Garlic Festival is this June! Be sure to come down for that! See you on the farm :)

I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip out, as there are obviously larger more extensive farmer's markets out there, but if you are in the area and need to pick something up, you can definitely find some good stuff here. Parking is available behind the Redmoor on the 2nd and 3rd parking levels (follow the signs). I've participated in the Goetta Fest put on by another producer. I love this stuff. Is it super healthy?? No. Is it delicious gift from heaven? Why, YES. So any time I come up to the area I try somewhere that makes goetta. This was a nice neighborhood meat market that makes their own so i had to try it. It was pretty good. They do make it WITHOUT MSG, so if that stuff gives you a headache or if you have to watch your salt intake, they have an option for you! I bought a goetta, egg, and cheese sandwich and it was tasty. If I was nearby, I'd try it again. I also took a few pounds home and cooked it over the next week. Now, back to my search for goetta and on to the next butcher shop! ;)
