She said they do try to use the least toxic stuff they can get by with, but we could always try to talk to one of the owners at a later time. I was in Cincinnati in late August 2026 for a short weekend trip and I came to Jungle Jim's on a Saturday morning. I arrived around 10:45am and the store was already busy. The store is huge and it will take over 2 hours to fully look at everything. I spent about an hour and 20 mins inside with my friend. I browsed the African and Asian sections plus other sections such as the candy aisle. A concerning thing and the reason for my 3 star review is at the South African aisle, I noticed that a few of the Crunchie Chocolates that I looked at were expired. This probably means that all of them in that section, over 2 boxes worth, are expired. This isn't good at all because some customers probably don't check expiration dates like I do so they may buy expired chocolates. I bought mostly snacks - 2 Malta drinks (a popular barley drink in West Africa), a Malta drink from Ukraine or Russia that my Ukrainian friend recommended, some Asian gummy candies, a big bag of toilet paper, chomp sticks, and a few more items.
