Needing a photographer for my Real Estate Business marketing materials, I had asked for a referal for a photographer from a friend of publisher friend of mine who manages high end magazine publications. I needed an updated professional headshot for work and my LinkedIn profile.  I also wanted to get some casual photographs taken for other profiles. I could not believe the photos that Carrie was able to get of my baby Savannah. I thought our first photo shoot, when my daughter was about 8 months old, was ruined because my daughter kept crying and trying to escape. To my surprise, she shot some of the most beautiful photos of my daughter. I just couldn't believe it. I had a very contrary experience with Carrie and it saddens me. Things started off well with gorgeous engagement photos and lots of communication. But as the wedding drew near I became quickly disappointed with her professionalism. There were problems with my wedding boudoir photos and what was sheer panic from me as the photos were supposed to be my future husbands wedding gift, Carrie was unsupportive and rude. She went as far as to send me nasty emails and blame me for things. I don't know if it's because Carrie is not married yet herself, but those of us who have lived through it know it to be one of the most stressful times in a woman's life and Carrie only made my experience more stressful. Several times I broke down in tears due to her lack of professionalism and attacking me. Of all my vendors I used for my wedding I was severely disappointed in Carrie. I even said to my future husband "well, now I bet we never have good wedding photos". We paid Carrie for everything- engagement, boudoir, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. I had to take the boudoir photos to walmart to print that was such a disaster! And the wedding photos themselves were lackluster, I thank god every day my husbands cousin is an aspiring photographer and we got some beautiful shots from him. Needless to say, some of her photos on her website look beautiful, but most my wedding photos look like I could have taken them myself. To this day I am uncertain if she even edited them, but by the time she got them back to me I was just happy to be done communicating with her. I will not be recommending her to anyone. Carrie is the absolute BEST! She shot my destination wedding in Dallas, TX last October at Hotel Zaza. Everything was perfect and Carrie is incredibly professional and talented. Prior to the wedding, Carrie scoped out spots around Dallas in order to find the perfect backgrounds for the wedding party pictures (the argyle wall in the Arts District, and Dragonfly bar at Hotel Zaza... so funky and chic!). The beauty shots in the suite prior to the wedding were a blast - Carrie captured fun and sweet pictures of my family and closest girlfriends that we will cherish forever. The first look turned out so beautiful and intimate, she found the perfect quiet location for the special moment. For the family shots - she was incredibly quick and efficient, but took the care to ensure that everyone looked good and was placed properly for each shot. The wedding ceremony itself couldn't have been shot better - Carrie captured every touching moment. Carrie was incredibly prompt getting my gallery loaded so we could select our favorites. The editing that she did was amazing - and the result is the most gorgeous wedding album. We opted for a leather album with a picture window on the front, and thick pages that lay flat. Carrie designed the pages and we really couldn't be happier. I would recommend doing your engagement pictures with Carrie as well - it's a great way to get to know her, connect with her, and get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. I know it especially helped my husband to get comfortable posing for her. Carrie was so professional, so talented, and so much fun. She puts you at ease when you are in the middle of our most hectic day. After using Carrie for our engagement pictures we knew we had to bring her with us to Dallas. And after the results of our wedding album, we will never hire another photographer for anything! She is the absolute best! read more
