I present myself as the ultimate LaValley Building Supply customer because, over the last 25 years,…read moreI have purchased about 22 windows, about 10 interior doors, and many other items from them. All of these windows and doors were properly cut to size and I installed them easily. The employees at LaValley Building Supply in Newport, NH have years of experience, they know their business, and are always helpful. They have a wealth of knowledge. Home Building Contractors buy (from LaValleys) the wooden studs, plywood, siding, windows and doors, roofing materials, hardware, cabinets, plumbing items, and other items which they use to build complete houses. So the question which should be asked is: Where did the two people who left such negative reviews go wrong? I can see the answer clearly. One of them tried to order a window or door via email and the other tried to order a window or door over the telephone and got upset because there were problems. I personally cannot comprehend how anyone can try to order a door or window via email or by the telephone and expect to get the order right. That seems like a fools errand to me. The way I do it, and the way it works, is I drive over to LaValley Building Supply and I sit down with the expert salesperson who handles the window and door orders. I explain to him what I am trying to do and I have the measurements of the windows and doors I want. The salesperson will ask questions about the windows, type of window, single hung, double hung, or something different. He will ask questions about the doors, type of door, left opening, right opening, opens in, opens out. He will ask about the rough openings for the windows and doors. And every window and door that I have ordered from LaValleys has been correct and has fit properly. The two negative reviews previously posted by the two angry people who tried to order windows or doors via email or over the phone should just be regarded as ignorant attempts to order which were doomed to fail, and that is on them.

This is the worst building supply store I have ever dealt with. They can't get you anything…read morecorrect. Waited 6 weeks for doors and windows. When I went to pick them up, these morons only had one of six doors correct. The whole project was stalled. As a veteran I would say, the worst most disrespectful, disgusting service ever. Don't ever use these people, I can't believe they still exist with the customer service and incompetence that I experienced all the way up to the manager.

No, we made the mistake of using one of their competitors who took +5 visits over 2 months to complete the task. However, once that headache was resolved, we did make the RIGHT DECISION to partner with SERVPRO to complete the repair portion of the process and thank God we did because we had the privilege of working with Mr. Gordon Brown, General Manager; SERVPRO. From the beginning, Gordon took the time to insure we had a clear understanding of what the repair process entailed including potential "surprises" that might arise given our particular situation and his vast knowledge and experience that he had accumulated over his career in the construction industry. I could go into exhaustive detail and cite numerous examples of Gordon's promptness, attention to detail, ability to delivery, and just creating a comfortable working relationship with my wife and I but I won't. Suffice to say that Gordon Brown was the major reason why we are now avid SERVPRO clients and will recommend them to all our friends. My only regret is that I did not meet Gordon before we started the mitigation portion of the project! Thank you Gordon, Best, Frank N.
