If no other branch in their system has it, they'll order it from a retailer. If you don't know how to operate their fax machine, they'll do it for you. Nothing is too much trouble for them. If you ask them to do something for you, they do it, they don't forget, you don't need to follow up with them. The library is always clean, including the bathrooms. They have an outgoing mail tray sitting on the counter that library patrons are welcome to use, saving us a trip to a mailbox or to the post office. I can't say enough good about this library and the people who work there.

I come to this library primarily to use the study rooms which are nice, spacious and comfortable. They have a white board inside of them as well. My favorite part of this library is the display of African American baseball artifacts on multiple levels. It shows how important, valuable and the great contribution African Americans players made to the sport of baseball. Park on the garage level.....maybe on floor 3 of the garage which had a small bridge to enter the library directly. Also, The community college shares the upper floors of this library as well which includes larger study rooms and an entire computer lab. The staff is really helpful as well. It's located next to the 1st…read morecemetery in the area that includes several people involved in the founding and building of Reisterstown and Owings Mills. The older part of the library is a building that was the first school. There is a modernized addition to that historic building to hold the actual books and computers. The quiet room is okay, but because it's located in the older building you can hear people walking around upstairs and anyone going up or down the stairs...it can be annoying at times! They have about 20 or so computers to log into. Free wi-do of course. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and will try their best to answer any of your questions.

The variety of books and media are extensive. I especially love some of the newly released books that they have at all of the libraries. We recently went to the Point of Rocks library to use the Memory Lab (which is a very nice service that the library offers) to use the equipment and digitize some videos. The librarians and the volunteer who helped us went above and beyond to make sure that everything worked well. We really appreciate everything that FCPL has to offer!!

I had been purchasing books online through thrift retailers, but a friend suggested borrowing them from the library instead to save money. After browsing the library's website, I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide selection of newly released memoirs available. I'm now saving a significant amount, and the three-week borrowing period is generous--especially with the option to renew if there are no holds. The library itself is spacious, bright, and very welcoming. While I haven't fully explored it yet, it appears to have dedicated areas for children and teens. In addition to books, I noticed they offer DVDs and have far more computers than I remember from the library I used to visit in Montgomery County decades ago. The staff I interacted with while setting up my library account and locating newly released memoirs were both knowledgeable and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciate the convenient exterior features, including a book drop located right out front and a parking lot with an awning that provides coverage for cars. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with what this library has to offer and the welcoming service I've received so far.

Most importantly, printing is FREE for black and white, unlimited no log in or library card needed. Color printing is $0.75 per page. Librarians are super helpful and when I did come into the library the book displays were really well done (I just finished one of the books recommended from the display!). It's a beautiful space. Highly recommending coming to this branch!
