When I started looking around for a new garage door to be installed, Yelp was the first place I looked since I trust their reviews. I came across Carroll Garage and a few others. Let's put it this way, this company was the only company that was professional! I got a call back right away, they didn't make me wait weeks on end to get a quote, and even better...they were able to install within days of that quote!! As with a lot of homes, my washer and dryer is located in the garage and I had to walk into that very hot garage due to the garage door not being insulated and this company showed up, was completely professional, didn't take forever to install, cleaned up and hauled away the old door, and then took the time to tell me about how the maintain the rollers and main unit. After having such a bad experience with Mesa Garage Doors (long story....posted previously), I finally found Carroll Garage Doors in Simi Valley. They were recommended by a friend, so I gave them a call. They came out the very next day, gave me an estimate lower than Mesa Garage Doors AND came out in less than a week to install. They were in and out in 3 hours. They didn't charge a deposit either, which was a nice plus. I would highly recommend them to anyone! I'm a bit late posting this, but I suppose for the better. I needed my 2, forty year old garage doors replaced. After researching and deciding what quality level of door I needed, I had 3 contractors come to quote. One contractor was way out there as far as price, and took way too long to figure out what I needed. Will Carroll came by, listened to what I wanted, explained his product, quickly measured and gave me a quote, like he had done this before! A third contractor came by but at this point I was being polite. The guy gave me a fair quote, but I still felt more confident with Will Carroll. Will's guy showed up on time, 8 am sharp. It's been several years since we had our garage door fixed by this company, and I think that's all the more reason to listen to this review. I've been meaning to recommend them, and it's always been on my mind to do that but it's taken this long to get there! This company's honest, fair and frankly I wouldn't ask anyone else to come fix/replace my garage door. The tl;dr story is that our garage door came off its rail for reasons I won't get into, and we hired another company to come and set it straight. That company claimed they did the job, put an advertising sticker on our door, and left. Three opens later and the door came loose again, and this time the spring unwound. On a recommendation from my father in law I called Carroll Garage Doors, and the guy came over, looked at the door, and had it fixed in a half hour. Charged me a very reasonable price. And to this day, four years later, it's working great. If your garage door is busted or needs replacing, call this company. They know what they're doing, they're professional and get it done. read more

I had a problem with my garage door that was installed by another Wayne-Dalton dealer. The other dealer told me this I "misused" the door and that I would need to pay for the replacement of the broken top panel. As I had done nothing other than open and close the door with my remotes, this wasn't possible. I called Will Carroll who came over right away and found that the door was improperly installed so that it rubbed against the door jamb which over time caused the door to buckle and break. He even called in the manufacturer's (Wayne-Dalton) district manager who took the time to personally review and verify this in writing. Will fixed the original installer's errors, installed the replacement panel and inspected both doors all at a great price. I highly recommend Will. read more

I called this company on referral from my neighbor when my garage springs broke. He was able to come the same day. Arrived on time and completed the repair quickly. Only complaint is that he charged me $10 more than his quote (and what my neighbor paid). I didn't ask about the small amount, but he didn't give me an explanation. He also gave me a quote on a replacement opener but now not sure how reliable the quote would be. read more

Wonderful experience. Called this company after coming home to find our garage spring had broken, and door was inoperable. Was referred by my father who has used them several times for his primary residence, as well as rental property, and was very pleased. I called today around 11am and a gentleman answered and stated he could be there around 1:30. He quoted me a price of $160 over the phone. 1:28 the doorbell rang. He inspected the door, replaced the springs, oiled everything and charged me exactly what he had quoted. No up-sell, no shell games, no bs. If you want to install a new garage door, call Will Carroll - he's your man. I did, and my door lasted 10 years, very few problems. However, if you need that door fixed once something does go wrong, look elsewhere - this company is not interested in repairs (no money in it) and WILL ignore you and your business. How do I know? I logged approximately 22 phone calls into this company without a response between November 2013 and April 2014, making the mistake of stating I needed an estimate for repair. Not. One. Call. Back. (Oh, wait - he did call me back the first time, set up an appointment and never showed - so there's that.) You can do better - believe me.
