I have been going to Carteret Vision Center for several years now for my annual eye exams, plus any optical needs and I couldn't be more pleased. It was initially recommended to me by several other hospital staff members that I work with who were in agreement that it was far above average, and they were right. I found the team at CVC to be friendly, professional and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The wait has been short and the atmosphere very pleasant and immaculate. But most of all, Dr Christensen is amazing!! Definitely the best! -- kind, knowledgeable, thorough and explains it all explicitly. Overall, my visits here have been an exceedingly positive experience but above all, I know my eyes are getting the best care, and good health including vision ranks high on my list of needs :) read more

Reluctantly, I finally acknowledged that I needed glasses. The team at Carteret Vision Center made the entire process as painless as possible to the point that I am actually a fan. Their site is immaculately clean and welcoming. Their personnel were friendly and walked me through the whole process. I have VSP silver coverage but never received any cards or information from my provider. I was completely clueless. They were able to look up my information and tell me my exact coverage and patiently explained the benefits up front as well as my out of pocket cost. The exam process through to glasses order has been extremely efficient. They truly respect the patients time and provide the highest level of service. Very well done. read more

I purchased a new pair of glasses for the first time from this company. I had to go back to them in August because the very expensive lens that I purchased were all scratched up, even though I used the spray and microfiber towels they gave me. They replaced them. I had to go back in today for the same issue. The very aggravated looking lady that sat down to talk with me was not willing at all to help. Needless to say they lost a customer today. Wasn't impressed. Had to wait 20 mins after my appointment to start the eye exam process. No apology for the delay. Then I had to request the doctor give me the full eye exam I had an appointment for contacts but I need my eye check (thought that was what they should do anyway) so I had my eyes dilated after I had requested it!? They staff was not friendly. They doctor wasn't too warm either. Over all I was there for almost 1.5 hours. Only when they walked me upfront did they become friendly and helpful. Could that have been to impress other customers!? Over all I would not recommend them. read more

I am on Vacation and lost a contact with no back up pair. I went to Walmart Vision where I got my contacts and they would not sell me a sample pack and did not have a box for sale. I walked into Carteret and they greeted me right away. I asked if I could by a set or a sample pack... Their response was, "How about we give you a sample pack?" They would not take anything for the contacts so I dropped 10.00 in there Hospice donation jar. If I lived here I would not go anywhere else. Great people! Thank you Carteret Vision...
