The baby swaddles I received as a gift looked like such great quality. I washed the swaddles per the instruction on the tag... they pilled and the hem is coming undone before use. The instructions specifically say to wash before use. I called the store to see if they would take back the items with the gift receipt that was purchased within their return policy date. The store manager Heidi, was very quick to say that an exchange is not possible because it's been washed and they cannot put it back on the floor. Called back a second time spoke with the manager again. Explained that I followed the instructions exactly and the item is defective after one wash before using. During this phone call she was more understanding and accepted that the items were going to return due to the circumstances.. I feel that's a bit unprofessional since the item is poor quality and damaged before I was even able to use it. The level of customer service received was not great. It was evident that the store manager is more concerned about store profit rather than customer satisfaction. read more

I love this store. I head straight to the clearance rack in the back of the store where there additional markdowns. Most recently I bought 5 outfits for my daughter for $27. They were 70% off plus if you bought 3 or more clearance items it was another 20% off the clearance price. Yes babies are expensive and they outgrow their clothes quickly. But when they have good deals this place makes it much more affordable. I only come here when I'm already in the area and only buy when it's really cheap. read more

Today was the day to shop at Carter's! I'm just so excited even writing this review. Makes me want to frequent the place more. I originally came to Carter's because I did an online order. It's pretty much how I do most of my shopping now. It's pretty sad. I really miss the browsing and shopping in stores. Anyways, I had it shipped to store so I didn't have to pay for the shipping fees. It took a little over a week to come to the store. Since I had to pick it up in the store, I decided to look around. I'm always on a mission to find my daughter some footed pajamas. It's her outfit every night. And I've been on a mission to find as cheap as possible baby clothes because she's gonna grow out of it. I've found some pretty cheap stuff at other retailers but today I found an item that was super cheap. I wish there were more. The pajama was $3.99 and it was on clearance for another 20% off. So it came out to be $3.33! I love it! It's a boy pajamas but who cares, it's for sleep and no one is gonna see her. I'm sad that I could find only one but it really gives me motivation to come back and check again. So come to Carter's and check out their clearance section for additional percentages off. read more

Review #116 - 2017 After my daughter was born, I became a very big fan of Carter's. I've probably spent thousands of dollars with Carter's now that she's already 14 months. But I can't complain too much compared to all those other children's stores, this place is pretty much a life saver for all new parents. The one thing that I always tell people that buy gifts for my daughter is, "please don't over spend on brand names as they outgrow their baby clothes so quickly." Most people appreciate the advice because it saves them some money. I honestly have a lot of clothes for her already, but I just can't resist buying more because they're so cute and Carter's makes it so easy to buy a lot because the prices here are super reasonable. I bought her 10 outfits for $91, after all the discounts and savings. How can you beat that? I mean, how can anyone resist walking into a store that has cute clothes at great values? This is located in the Waikele premium outlet mall. Carters has great sales & it's a great place to shop for infant or toddler clothes. There's a lot of winter clothes here if your are visiting from the mainland or anywhere that's cold. Not so much jackets tho, just more long sleeve clothing. I actually wish they had more short sleeves & shorts because it's usually pretty hot here in Hawaii. Half of the store is boys & other half is girls clothing. Back of the store has the biggest sale items. Everything is at least 40% of if I remember correctly lol. There's no restrooms in this store. You would have to go outside & use the outlet mall restrooms. The parking lot is right outside the store. I recommend carters for baby clothing. read more

You have to give an email address, I even asked the lady ( because I was in a rush) why do I need an email? No clear response. My daughter's 1st birthday is coming up and because of Covid, I haven't really purchased cute outfits for her to wear because we don't take her out that much. BUT I decided to stop by today and buy her a cute outfit for our plans this weekend. They had great promotions going on so I decided to buy a couple of outfits, shoes, swimgear, etc...Ended up spending over $100 on my Carter's credit card. Went a couple doors down to Oshkosh and ended up finding one item in a different color that I liked better. I came back to return the one I bought from Carters. I'm going to assume she was the Manager on Duty, brought up voiding the transaction to another associate and handed me off to him. He ended up voiding the transaction and then ringing me back up again for everything I originally purchased minus the item I wanted to return. I work retail so I'm assuming it's because they wanted to avoid a return or to protect some type of Performance Metric that corporate tracks. Regardless, it was a sketchy way to complete a refund for one item from an original 6+ item purchase. That's not the end of my horrible experience - they had a promotion going on where you can get 40% off when you purchase 4 or more shoes. I purchased 2 shoes from Carter's and 2 shoes from Oshkosh and inquired about the promotion since I know the two are sister stores but I wasn't sure to what extent. Holden, the employee that was processing this generic "return" transaction offered to ship the two shoes I purchased from Oshkosh to get the 40% off with the 2 shoes I purchased from Carters - and told me I could return the shoes back to Oshkosh for a refund. Okay, I understood the idea of that since I bought it from that store. Then I spoke to Customer Service and turns out they could've returned the shoes there (since all shoes were Carter's brand) and re-rung it up with my current purchase for the discount. Instead of helping a customer get the best experience possible and helping someone go home with everything they came in for - they decided that it was more important to get a Ship to Home order. Now I have to wait for a $130 charge to drop off my credit card when it could've just been a $25 refund. read more

During my one year of being a mom, I've learned a few things when it comes to shopping for clothes for babies/toddlers: 1) make sure the clothes is made of stretchable material, esp. at the neck area, and 2) look for deals on clothes because babies grow fast. I've found that Carters is my preferred brand for baby and toddler clothes. The material they use is very stretchy, so it's easy to get the shirts or onesies over baby's head. They also have a lot of cute designs and styles. And although Carters is available at places like Navy Exchange, Macy's, etc. I can find the best deals at this outlet store in Waikele. They have a lot of clothes on the markdown racks, and they also run 50% off sales around holidays. And if you sign up for the Rewards Program, you get $10 off towards your next purchase for every $50 you spend (hang on to your receipt because that's where your $10 reward is located). They also email coupons that can be added on top of their sales specials (stacking). I just wish they would put more people at the registers, because as all parents' know, it's no fun waiting in long lines when you have babies/toddlers in tow. read more

This store is located at the outlet stores but it's not a Carters outlet. The store carries the same items you would find online. Great buys, priced just right. You will find sizes for babies, toddlers and kids up to I believe size 14. Parking is what you would expect at an outlet. It's extremely busy so be prepared to search for a spot. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. My one and only complaint is the store feels a bit packed kinda stuff and overflowing. There didn't seem to be set sections everything just kinda spilled over into every section. Still neat but not sectioned off well. read more

The first noticeable thing when I entered was how bright the store was. It made everything so clear and stand out. All it's clothes are very well organized, neat, well-stocked, and has a good variety. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and informative. Carter's and Oshkosh are great companies to buy kid clothes. The clothes last long and its cutee , but as an employee it's not the greatest. The training for both managers and sales aren't great, they don't really take their time to do proper training. . Most of the managers are still learning as they go. They're constantly changing management and employees are constantly leaving. They're always short staff as well. There's only one part coverage most of the time. Plus the hiring process takes months to do. I wouldn't recommend this store as a former employee. I miss the old management that they had before the new one now. It doesn't feel like a family anymore and it just not a great positive area. read more

I generally like Carter's. There is such a great variety of clothing and the materials are very comfortable..and when there are sales they are VERY good. I understand this store is at an outlet mall and it is generally really busy. It also felt really messy- clothes in the sale bin were not folded, just thrown in and one of the onesies (i really liked) was wet, like it was drooled on and put back. Now, I also understand the need for a line....when the store is busy. When it's not, they should either get rid of the sign or put it in a better visual spot. When I was done picking something out that I wanted to buy, I just went behind a lady who was almost done with her purchase and the cashier did see me....until my friend called me back to the designated start of the line (on the opposite side) and then the girl didn't even realize there was anyone "in line". The people working there seemed very friendly and someone did ask if we were doing all right with our shopping. There was just something about this store that was just meh. Great prices at this outlet with rewards and you guessed it frequent emails to let you know when the best sales are happening. They have every piece needed for a kiddo's wardrobe. Perfect basics for everyday use -- onesies, pjs, separates, and swim sets. I love this place, but of course I need to pace myself (and more importantly pace the grandparents). Damn my baby is fat! My pretty little baby Isabel has got rolls for days and has outgrown most of her baby clothes! I needed to get her some new clothes 'cause we can't be running around naked can we? Well we can but if one day she ends up doing Playboy I know that those naked baby moments will be to blame. You can never be too careful when it comes to the psychology of a little baby! So off we went to Carter's at Waikele outlet mall. It's difficult for me to spend a lot of money on baby clothes because she outgrows everything so quickly. At least toddlers can wear clothes for a year, but little babies only wear things for 2-3 months tops. As previously mentioned my little one is quite the fatty and at 5 months is wearing 9-12 month clothes. Carter's has a decent assortment of baby clothes but you definitely have to be in the mood to hunt for items! The store is overloaded with baby clothes but at least its fairly well labeled and organized by size. I wanted to get her tankinis for the coming Summer months but they were all sold out in her size. The good thing is most of my items were an average of 50% off! Woot! I paid for my items at the counter and they had a special where if I bought a Carter's bath or lotion item I got an additional 20% off! I was already going to spend $60 so getting $12 off for an item that was $5 was just like getting something for free. This store is definitely worth the trip to Waikele and I know for sure we'll be back looking for tankinis! read more

Seriously who needs Ross, TJ Maxx or those others stores when this place literally has a sale everyday! I get there emails alerts so I can back that up. They have the cutest little clothes for your little munchkins and oh so affordable! This past weekend they had 40% off and if you are registered with them you get coupons, 20% on a minimum order or 15% if minimum is not met. They have a huge selection of clearance items, starting from $3.99 and up! And they also have huge door busters! $8 on fleece PJs just in time for the hopefully cold weather! It may seem like I know too much and I may work here but NO! I wished! Imagine the discounts and damage I could do here. This is my first stop when I go to Waikele Outlets and I usually don't need to any other baby stores. Workers are always friendly and very helpful. I usually get greeted once I step into the store and asked if I am finding everything ok as i'm shopping around. And if I need a size they are nice enough to check the back for stock instead of shutting me down without looking. They just renovated the store and it looks so much more organized, instead of the cashiers in the middle they are now on the left side of the store. And they have a little sitting area for the kids to mingle, it just seems more fit for a baby store. I really appreciate this store and how its so easy to shop, with an 18 month old that is all a mommy can ask for is convenience! I have been to so many baby showers and given so many kids' presents I think by the time I have kids if karma exists, I won't have to purchase clothes for them till prom. Carter's is my go-to spot for kids clothes. They always have cute stuff at great prices, in all different price ranges. Just this weekend I bought 2 layettes (I still don't even know what a layette is but it included a hat, onesie, booties, and pants.), including one that was monkey print and said "Bananas over Mommy". I love Carter's! And I hate them too. Well, more specifically my wallet hates them because every time I go there my wallet becomes empty.... Baby girl already has a more extensive wardrobe than both her mom & dad. If you're looking for cute & affordable baby clothes, Carter's is perfect for you! There's always a sale and door busters so you're bound to find something cute for cheap. Despite it being busy most of the times I've been there, the staff has always been friendly & professional & the lines move quickly. The only downfall in my opinion is that although it's a baby store, some of the sales racks are packed close together making it at time difficult to maneuver with a stroller. I love this Carter's for a few reasons. 1. It's the only Carter's location (to my knowledge) on Oahu. 2. It's across the street from Starbucks, so I can grab coffee and then head over for shopping. 3. They have great deals, i.e. 60% off the whole store sometimes. 4. Adorable onesies and casual outfits for babies and toddlers. 5. Great staff! Also, Carter's (as a company) has a reward system that gives you $10 credit after you spend a certain amount. I'm a big fan of stores that do this because, after all, I'm going to spend the money at your store either way. They send me daily emails but I don't mind as I glance at them just to know when the 60% off sale is happening. I highly recommend shopping here over Babies 'R' Us for clothing. The deals are often better, as is the selection. Speaking of selection, the only reason this isn't a 5-star review is because sizes for hot items go so fast and they don't always replenish items. If you are a new mother and want to get "First Christmas" type of gear for the holidays, get them EARLY! These items go fast and I never see them replenish those items once the initial stock sells. read more

I have never done a review on Yelp but with such a horrible experience I had to share my thoughts! With two kids and one more on the way I have become a frequent shopper here at this store. I've never had any complaints until my recent visit. I recently had my baby shower and had a few returns. I believe only managers were allowed to do returns/exchanges. I stood in line and was told to stand in another line where the manager could do the return. Another lady was in front of me so I patiently waited. The manager who helped me was named Dylan as it is printed on the receipt. I was next in line and he left the register, went on another register, and totally IGNORED ME. I figured, "hey maybe he needs to input something into the computer after the exchange he had" but no, he left me waiting for about five minutes which felt like forever! He made me feel invisible. Not to mention it was NOT busy and I could see him on his iPhone behind the register! I could tell he was eager to go home and wanted to leave as soon as possible without doing much work. A lady at the cashier had to remind him that I was here to do some returns. The cashier apologized for him which meant a lot considering not one word came out his mouth. I had quite a few returns and by the look of his face I knew he was unhappy about it. After the returns were done I decided to look around, store associates were greeting customers, and putting away misplaced items with a smile always on there face. The manager who helped me was STILL on his iPhone but instead of being behind a register he was hidden in boys clearance obviously hiding from his sales associates and avoiding any work to be done! Maybe I caught him on a bad day but thats no excuse for the lack of customer service I've received from him. This manager lacks professionalism, customer service, and can't seem to put aside his personal life during work hours. read more
