There's only one public bathroom in the entire mall on the Lower Ground Floor. It's normally super busy, so it's no surprise it's dirty. Sinks sometimes do not work. There is no soap. Also, the mall in general just looks very dated. I don't know why SM doesn't invest more money into improving the appearance of the mall inside, as this mall is always PACKED with people. It's a transit hub, as the Taytay-Quiapo bus, the LRT-2 V. Mapa Station and the Divisoria-Cubao Jeepneys all traverse the perimeter of the mall. I guess that's one of its few pluses, that it is very accessible. Choices inside are ok. Normal mall fare, nothing special. The cinemas have huge, soaring ceilings but haven't been updated since the 90s so it feels kinda damp and creepy. Especially because they're almost always empty. :O At least it's always super cold! If you're trying to go on a leisurely walk around some mall, don't go here. Robinsons Magnolia is a short Jeep or LRT ride away, as is Greenhills via bus. If you want to feel like the 12 million people of Metro Manila are standing next to you, come here. But I do have to say, it's a prime location.

Back when I was young my grandfather had a house along Victoria Street in New Manila. Me and my cousins would sometimes go here to just go around and kill time. They would go window shopping and I would look at some of the newer games at the arcade. We would end the visit by having dinner or merienda at one of the many restaurants that populated this mall. I'm no longer sure what has changed with Sta . Mesa since I got back here. The last time I was here I ended up buying pizza at Shakey's and wwatching a block screening of The Wolverine with some of my friends from law school for Bar Operations. I'm glad this place stood the test of time. In a way, it shows just how some things are capable of withstanding change, for how long though, I have no clue. I just hope that this mall doesn't burn out anytime soon.

Theirs boba, a copy center at every corner, and lots of great places to eat. They also have a little shopping market at the bottom. It really is very similar to the old shopping center before. I love looking at the shops upstairs to look at the UP gear. They have so many selections. I may have bought at least 3 shirts while I am there. At the food court, you can get a lot of yummy food for a great value or price. They have a lot of Korean stalls, but also a lot of Filipino food places. One place we ate at there is Goto King. It is still a little empty. There were empty shops still, but maybe soon it will fill up. Everyone was also nice and accommodating. Can't wait to visit again when I come back to the Philippines.

PROS: Xerox mamser! This is the ultimate place for photocopying and infringement of books' copyrights! The whole strip is littered with stalls that can print, copy, bind, laminate, or even type whatever that needs doing - even a whole textbook. Professors even have their own endorsed stall where you could go to grab all the copies of this semester's readings; They have computer/internet shops for that quick cramming of the paper you're supposed to submit an hour ago; Rodics is there! And right behind it is the Coop, for your grocery needs. SC has it all - a pharmacy, optical shop, even a fruit stand. CONS: Need to use the bathroom? Pay 5 pesos; Make sure you keep an eye on your things. There's a lot of people who come and go SC so it's easy to lose stuff; The strip itself can get pretty hot and crowded. TL;DR: The place where the average Isko/Iska can get anything that they need to survive - food and readings.

I got to say though, the most recent time I came here I was very grossed out by the strong smell of the ice skating rink!!! It feels as if there isn't enough cleaning done on those ice skate rentals and it totally put off me and the rest of our group from entering in to see the prices. I don't remember the spot stinking so much pre-COVID so that's very unfortunate. It's across from one of the food courts in the mall too. You can eat food of various types!!! Food court options or literal restaurants. I definitely think coming here for two days is best but you can still explore a majority of the mall in one day. I like the security for checking bags upon entry when going into the different buildings. Expect a ton of banks, restaurants and stores. A BIG PLUS. If you are struggling to find a store, ask one of the security personnel inside. They immediately know the directions on where to go and were super impressive in their knowledge!!! They came across as unprofessional, stuck-up, and very unwelcoming. I understand that everyone can have an off day, especially someone who may be new to customer service, but the employees I encountered appeared experienced enough to understand the difference between good and poor customer service. H&M is a well-known brand with affordable clothing, but the way customers are treated can completely affect the shopping experience. When the staff makes you feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, I would much rather spend my money at another location or store. I definitely would not return to this location based on my experience.

It was even situated right beside the venerable 168 Mall, and looks just about the same. Being a newer mall, the place is still quite empty last time I was there, but maybe it was because I just got so used to the cramped hallways of 168 where you can't help but rub buttcheeks with whoever's going in the other direction. Here, the thoroughfares are wider, the aircon cooler, and the prices pretty much the same.

The tiangge section (Shoppsville side) was untouched with rows and rows of stalls selling pearls, clothing, suitcases, shoes and more. Everything here can be haggled over. I was on the search for some local food items but the stall I sought out was closed for some reason. The chapel in the mall was still something unique to see but quite convenient to attend mass. The indoor garden across the way was updated and more inviting than I remember with more seating. Parking here has always been and will likely still be a challenge. Security guards still direct traffic but drop off areas by the mall entrances do get backed up frequently. Definitely enjoyed the shopping experience more than before.

Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit but the stores do look fancy: Longines, Pandora, LaCoste, Tissot, Bocu, Marks & Spencer. Honestly I wasn't paying much attention to the shops but more of the restaurants like Wolfgang's Steakhouse. There is also a casino and a movie theater inside the mall. I like this mall also because not only is it pleasing to the eyes but it's less crowded. After buying a pair out of desperation, I will admit they are pretty comfortable and actually helped my feet. This Crocs location is located within Bonifacio High Street and is a small location. However, for the most part, you may find what you are looking for. They mostly have new and basic colors. You may not be able to find every color at this store. This location also sells a decent amount of variety for Jibbitz charms. The staff are very kind, attentive, and friendly. They are willing to help as well! I bought a sand color pair of Crocs and my purchase came with a free Jibbitz charm but you are only allowed to pick from a certain selection. The price of my Crocs was USD 60.14. If I were to buy them in the US, it's the same price but the tax would have gotten me and increased the total to about $70. So, I feel I still got a good deal!

In QC, Centris Walk to me is the place that gives the closest experience of Greenbelt (with its…read morepark and restaurants), and some of BGC, like Burgos Circle and Bonifacio High Street, because Centris has patches of green amid the many restaurants and establishments. Plus, it has these really nice-looking towering white structures that stretch up to the sky and spread out like umbrellas. I guess these structures are also for shade, but I heard from a guard there that these also function as solar panels. Perhaps they are, as I saw a similar, though smaller, structure meant for solar energy at BGC. But I haven't really verified this, though I read later that in general Centris is solar-powered, which is a nice bit of information especially if you're concerned about the environment. There are quite a number of restaurants to choose from - Filipino, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and more. There are also places nice for dessert and coffee. When my college friends and I were here, we had dinner, dessert, then went outdoors and just chilled out on the grass. Events like concerts and other performances are also held here at Centris Walk, particularly in the area of the umbrella-like structures. A friend who lives in QC also said that they have a weekend market here which he goes to occasionally for vegetables and other healthy food items.
