Brought in a small 8 inch powered sub to be installed and was told it was dead right out of the box so I bought another one and brought that in to be installed, they then told me that the second sub was also dead on arrival. Eventually it became evident that they had not wired the first or replacement sub properly although the install guy was only willing to accept half the blame, putting the rest of the blame on the design of the sub. Eventually they fixed it but not before I had to return a 3RD TIME because they had not mounted the sub into the car properly. When I got home, I noticed that the sub sounded very weak, putting out almost no power at all. Also, my door panel of my driver side door was left hanging off anf will need to be fixed. Im going to have to take this to another car stereo place to have them check the work of the install guys at Cartunes. I do not recommend this place, but the ladies who work at the front desk are very nice and attentive. I was also charged for bass knob install that was never even installed. I had an expensive Kenwood CD playing stereo put in by cartunes and PAID for a 3 year guarantee package that if it fails, they'll fix it. The back rear view mirror doesn't work now, dangerous. When I brought the Kenwood CD player in for them to honor our contract, Jeff, the manager, got approximately 1 FOOT from my face and screamed very loud to get out and never come back. The woman who sits, Nicole, lies and stated that I gave all the employees a hard time. Liar, there wasn't one word that I said to anyone but the two of them, Jeff and Nicole. The mirror from my inside mirror is broken and doesn't work. Cartunes is clearly responsible but refuses to do what I paid for. I had my windows tinted and the tint came bubbly. when I went back they replaced it but again did not do a good job. the ladies they have working there did not take her time doing my tint. when I went back a third time the man I talked to was rude and told me I was nitpicking. I paid a lil over $600 to have my windows done. like anybody else I expect a good job done. I still didn't get it done a third time because of the way that man made me feel. I came in on Friday 11/8 when I got off work early to just get an estimate on subwoofer and an Amp. I wasn't sure if I should get it done since I'm having to move at the end of January, but I really wanted better sound. Jeff suggested the Alpine 12" speakers with Amp for just the right amount and got me scheduled for an appointment on Tuesday 11/12. He even offered to drop me off and pick me up from work so I could get the installment done. When I got home by 6pm Jeff called and said they had a cancelation and was able to get me in the next morning Saturday 11/9 which worked out even better, my car was done by 4pm Saturday. I went on a drive that night to test out the sound and I love it! I will definitely be recommending Cartunes to others. I stopped by Cartunes yesterday hoping to get a stereo I purchased to install in my car. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by Aaron and he answered questions I had. I wanted a stereo with CarPlay and he showed me options they had in store. Michael M. of Cartunes, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately your account of the service call is not quite accurate. Your techs called to state they were having difficulty removing the key from the ignitions...and did I know about this issue. I stated I never had any issues like this and wasn't sure what they were talking about. They, in response, said THEY would figure something out and that's where the phone call ended. Yes, they informed me of an issue, but they also took on the responsibility for the solution. I was never informed of what the solution was or that ultimately the ignition was broken. Simply informing me of an issue, (which your techs stated they would figure out), doesn't absolve you of responsibility for additional damage resulting from that "solution".  You state you were "willing to pay" to repair the ignition at the time. However, when I picked up my car, the manager clearly said to me that he wouldn't pay for the repairs. He then quoted prices to have the car fixed in your shop. I was told it would cost me at least $215 for the labor plus cost of parts that he would try to get from AutoZone. I don't understand how you can equate your managers' decline to cover additional repairs now needed, followed by quoting me proposed cost for these repairs in your shop, with any indication of a willingness to cover the cost and fix my car's ignition. You have indicated this model of car has intermittent issues associated with the tumblers in the lock of the ignition. The tumblers can catch your key. I was unaware this is a common problem. I have taken the vehicle to the VW dealership for repair. On initial review, I was advised there is some indication that an attempt to dislodged the key placed too much force on the housing and body of the lock which caused it to bind, rendering the ignition, and therefore the vehicle, inoperable. As a result, I am incurring additional costs for repairs. This does not appear to be a simple issue of tumblers catching a key as you claim. A key caught in the tumbler may not be easy to remove, but it still functions with the ignition and the car is still operable.  That is not the condition of my vehicle when your shop returned it to me. read more

They installed a Linkswell 12.1 screen and blam speakers in my 2017 truck. I just hope they will tune it after they installed the stereo system. I've called and have been quoted a price. Contrary to what anyone else thinks, Car Tunes is an excellent place to get work done. In 2008 I spend about 6k getting my Scion tC done up with the best of the best, and that car was my favorite. After having kids though, I sold my Scion and bought a minivan. Recently the crappy radio in it drove me nuts and so I went in, got a new stereo with Bluetooth, so I can listen to my phone music wirelessly, and hands free phone capability, installed for only $350! AND, they gave me and my family a free loaner while they did the work! Also I had tinting done by them before and it was outstanding. To me that is above and beyond.
