So word of mouth and a 5 star yelp review sent me here, plus it's like a 5 minute drive/15 minute…read morewalk from my own house. I couldn't not go. I also dragged my whole family along for a sandwich lunch. Dennis of Bexley is an award winning butchers and deli, that USED to be in the village and then it moved to Bexley Park where all the new town houses are. The prices definitely reflect the area. Between us, we decided to go for broke and just ordered pretty much half the deli bar. The hot BLT sandwich, the bacon was LOVELY, not too salty either. The roast beef baguette could've have a little more horseradish on, and the baked pastries-bacon and cheese/lamb samosa could've had a a bit more cheese and a bit more spice respectively. The hot steak and cheese baguette is just value for money, if you're going to go, i highly recommend that! We spent the lunch hour in the rather posh seating area enjoying our sandwiches. If only the sandwiches had a bit more finesse, a little bit more extra care in making them. It would be perfect. I'll definitely be back because it's so close to home and because it's such a cute little place. Clientele, from builders to soccer mums to office people. The amount of land rovers driving in and out to get lunch from this place was surprising. They're doing pretty well for a butchers even if everyone is just heading to the deli bar (I didn't see anyone actually buying the raw meat..)

Always good food from various meats, cheese, pies, ready made meals, etc. Friendly staff always.read more

Most of you would have been to Morrisons so I will just talk about this store…read more Parking Huge and I mean huge. What girl doesn't like huge? Parking for well over 2000 cars and for once the parking is free. The store There is so much here it's hard to know what to list and what to miss. I am going to start with what they call the Market Street. It is set up all along the left hand wall of the store and bends round to cover the top of the store as well. The idea is that it would be like the old high street used to be years ago with bakers, butchers and fishmongers etc. This is my downfall I am always spending too much time here, putting too much in my trolley and hence putting on too much weight. Fishmonger - Lovely all set out on ice and sealed later in shiny foil wrapping for freshness. If you ask them to get something for you they will. My father ordered Lobster from them in the New Year and they came up trumps. They have well over 30 different types of fish from red snapper to salmon fillet. Oven Fresh Oh my god I love this bit fresh chickens cooked spit roast style in ovens that you can see. Ribs to die for in BBQ and Chinese style. Hot jumbo sausages, chicken portions and pork roasts, crackling and smiley faces for the kids. My downfall and my saviour when I have forgotten to get something for dinner. It's cheaper than a takeaway. Family Butcher All the usual meats that you could want and nice size roasting joints all at very reasonable prices. Fresh Pizzas - Freshly prepared in-store. The Pie Shop Another downfall for Fliss. Pies and pasties from heaven. Family Baker Fresh bread and cream cakes.. this store is a nightmare for me!!!! Rolls and French bread all cooked in the store and cakes galore. They do a really reasonable family size gateau (enough for 8 portions) at just £2.99. Doughnuts and cookies, muffins and gingerbread. I am stopping there because the dribble is getting into my keyboard. Takeaway - Curry or Chinese. They do a meal deals here for 1 or 2. Deli - Cooked meats, quiches, bacon and pies. Cheeses from around the world. Greengrocer All the usual produce you would expect plus selective good such as butternut squash and various other delights. So that is the Market Street now for the rest of the store Wines and Spirits This is where I think Morrisons excel they have a fantastic range of wines and they are always doing deals every week. Like buy one get one free or reducing well known brands down in price. But it is the spirits that shock me. I don't drink spirits yeah I know you thought I was a lush but I don't. Recently I had to buy some for a friend and everywhere else a bottle of Jack Daniels was £4 dearer than morrison. Grocery everything you could want from a store. They have all your basic grocery needs from flour to crisps, from a tin of beans to pet food, from cleaning goods to baby food. They have a wide range of goods and I can honestly say I have never had a time where they was something I wanted and they didn't have it. There are many bargains but I will go into more details about them later. Fresh Foods Milk, Juice, yoghurts and ready made meals. Frozen Food The Erith Branch have two huge aisles of frozen goods. Many products from frozen chips and vegetables to burgers and ice cream. Their own make ice cream is excellent. Home & Leisure - This shocked me a bit because they have a good stock of everyday goods that you may need from paint and DIY essentials. They also have some lovely scented candles and are very well priced. At different times of the year they use this space for promotions as well such as BBQ items in the summer and Christmas presents and trimmings. Music & Video A little gem here. They also have special offers on DVD's and videos. They are very competitive in pricing and often have the latest video releases for £9.99 where other stores are charging anything from £11.99 - £14.99. Health & Beauty Shampoos, conditioners etc. Cafe - So you have done your shopping and now you are starving why not try the café. It is very nice and extremely reasonable. They do children's meals a sandwich pack (sandwich, drink, crisps, yoghurt and Smarties) or a hot meal for (sausage & chips, fish fingers and ships etc.). They do mini meals for people who only want a small snack and large dinners such as roast beef with all the trimmings. Yummy!!! Price The beauty of it all. Bargains galore all over the store oo that rhymes. Well there are always three for two offers and buy on get one free offers. I have names a few but there are too many to mention. They do fantastic offers on nappies and baby products. They do a good deal on wines and spirits as mentioned earlier. I shop here and at Tesco. Worth a visit? I think so might see you there sometime. You wont miss me I am the one dribbling at the cream cakes or stuffing myself silly at the Café.

Unlike most bakeries there is an option to sit and eat in. It's quite a charming and intimate place to have lunch, ideal for conversation and a catch up. Their meal deal makes The Bakery affordable, around £4.20 for a baguette, cake and a hot drink which is tastier, cheaper and more filling than most other High Street delis. It's close to Bexleyheath station and so is great for grabbing food on the way to and from work. There is are a few parking spaces in the street next to the shop.

I would go to the Bakery any day of the week over all the high street chain "fake" bakeries that lay around town. Their bread is so fresh and tasty, and i am a sucker for their farmhouse loaf. Their fresh cream cakes are to die for, as well as the remaining of the cakes they have to offer. Also, warm cups of tea and coffee can be found here. The Bakery is a prime example of why traditional family bakeries are better than chain bakeries and a reason you should continue getting your fresh bread from here.
