I recently celebrated a mini family reunion with a classic ice cream cake from Carvel. This is definitely a throwback to most birthday and holidays growing up, and a new tradition for my children. There's something for everyone: chocolate AND vanilla ice cream, a layer of cookie crumbles and creamy whipped 'icing.' The problem with this cake is that doesn't melt into pieces and requires a proper plate and knife. Just kidding! The real problem is that the box it comes in has a little coupon for $ off your next ice cream cake purchase. It's the circle that never ends!?!? Thank you to the kind employee who accommodated my request to purchase this cake over the phone. She also came to my car door and placed the cake bag inside of my car through the window. She wore gloves and a face mask. Thank you so much for making this process so safe and painless! When in Jupiter, Carvel takes the cake. Literally! I wish there was an amazing local sweets bakery here, but, alas, I am 'forced' to eat ice cream cake when the occasion calls for celebrating. I'm ok with that!!! read more

Carvel brings back wonderful memories. I love the smell of the store ...just like it did when I was a kid. I always went for the vanilla brown bonnet as it was my favorite until I got to taste test a few flavors. Cold brew won hands down. Had a small cup with chocolate crunch on top. OMG how wonderful. Prices are higher than before but expected. It was a real treat and thoroughly enjoyed every spoonful. read more

Oh my. I had forgotten how utterly yummy an ice cream at Carvel can be. The taste is second to none. Many moons ago, I was a regular at Carvel but haven't been there in quite a while. I broke a tradition this week and almost wept tears of joy at my first Carvel ice cream cone in many years. Oh the taste! Oh that ice cream! There are many ice cream places but there is only one Carvel. I highly recommend letting your inner ice cream child out.Have a cone here and I guarantee all other ice cream places will pale in comparison to the gold star Carvel. Yummy. read more

I needed an ice cream cake, so the choices are limited. Carvel it is. Anyone recall the commercials years ago? They were kinda low budget. But here i am talking about them. A quick search and off to Indiantown Rd. The shopping center around the store was jammed, 1030am. Hmm...ahhh a breakfast place First Watch. No parking, ugh. Place must be good. I grabbed a spot finally, only to find the store opens at 11, 20 minutes to kill. Conveniently the package store adjacent was open, Liquor Village. I needed supplies, perfect. A typical shop, nice array, looked like they had a lot of high end bottles of stuff. I found a unique beer, perfect. Time filled. Into Carvel, its clean. CLEAN! I judge a lot of places by that, especially ice cream shops. It may be a Freudian thing? No, clean is important. Book by the cover, yes. The case was full of different sizes, ugh. The owner operator asked if help was needed. Thank you. A party of 24 is a medium cake i was told. Size matters. Then the writing on the cake, another groan. I groan mentally. The writting is crucial, do you want "We will or we'll?" Cmon? Roll your own ma'am, just spell his name right. Lol. With a side of choco crunch thingys I was done. Easy. I did have to fight the urge to buy 3 fudgy the whales. First time i actually saw a fudgy. The size was perfect, fed 20 or so people. Happy. Im done, a review with 2 bonus reviews, kinda, tucked in. OMG! I love ice-cream so I ordered a large chocolate cone. Do not make this mistake. It is HUGE!!!!! Way too much. My husband ordered a small and that too was big. I would order a kids size next time I go. Of course it was very good. I should have taken a picture of it but I was trying to keep it from dripping. Neither of us was able to finish so put them in the freezer for tomorrows dessert. read more

Carvel has my favorite ice cream hands down. However this particular Carvel seems to be run by young workers who lack professionalism. Online their closing time is 10pm and we walked up to a lit up "open" sign at 9:40pm along with another family of 4 behind us. Upon seeing us walking up, the person working there walked up to the door, turned the sign off, and walked away. Turning away the business of the 8 of us so that he could go home earlier. Actually I really like ice cream but I'm usually there with my dog. This is the only place that charges over $2 for a pup cup. I mean really, a little ice cream for the dog when they charge almost 5 bucks for a medium cone doesn't seem unreasonable. read more

I love carvel. When I moved to Florida there was only one (which was in my town) and they closed. My parents took me to this location and I was in heaven. I love the soft serve swirl with hot fudge and rainbow sprinkles! read more
