Okay...this is more a review of the crappy owner than the move team. Well... maybe a little of…read moreboth. We used this company to move from my apartment to our house several days ago. The movers were kind but not really a team. They worked together because it was a job and not because they necessarily understood moving furniture. Everything was fine until the end. I left to actually go to the bank and get the crew a tip. I didn't have cash on me. When I returned they had finished me bong the last couple pieces. I tipped them all generously and off they went. We departed as well to take care of some business. Upon returning my wife noticed that they had put several large deep scratches into the side of a very nice console of ours. I immediately called the owner and tried to text him. No response either way. Once I got him on the phone, he claimed the other number was not a cellphone and I had to email him. I did just that and he claimed he would call me on Monday so we can discuss. I sent him a couple pictures and waited until Monday...NO CALL! I called him...twice...three times....NO RESPONSE! My phone life called...ONCE AGAIN IGNORED! I will never recommend this company to anyone. Not to mention I got cheated on cost. I was quoted &650 with $100 deposit. When I got the bill it was an additional $200 added. The owner claimed that the deposit was not part of the billing...WHAT!!??? People stay away from this sorry side show and let them go out of business. They deserve it!

They never showed up, never called. We called them 6 times, finally that night they called back and said the driver came down sick. I had to pay the new owners of our house 350 00 dollars for not being out. Joanne movers said they would pay for that as well as give me a "major discount. They never paid for the 350.00 dollar fine. I told them I just want my deposit back they said "no refunds" imagine that. They said they will be out the very next day between 10 & 11. They weren't, at 12:45 three homeless looking degenerates showed up with a rented u-haul and said they were our movers. Imagine how angry I was! I called and again they said " no refunds." Anyway they loaded my stuff and locked the truck then their boss, you know 'Joanne movers' called me and said there was more in the truck then was quoted initially. The 3 quacks are now driving off with my household items. Joanne movers told me that the actual cost was going to be 5500.00 dollars. So I said just bring my stuff back. Joanne movers said that if they do it will be a 1000.00 fee for loading and unloading it. At this stage they are obviously holding my items hostage for more money. Anyway fast forward 2 and half weeks later, after I said just bring me my items and was forced to pay them their ransom fee. Moral of this long review of the worst moving company in the universe? If you want this or worse to happen to you, then by all means please do hire 'Joanne movers.' Seems they are not the local mover that I was searching for to move a half dozen pieces of…read morefurniture and appliances in the Pensacola area. They're apparently based out of North Carolina...so that's a bit disappointing. The guys showed up bright and early this morning and told me they were going to pick up 5 items (it was supposed to be 6) and this was the first indication of trouble ahead. The person that seemed in charge this morning didn't think his truck could get down the lane due to tree limbs and hanging telephone lines which is understandable, safety first right? So we walked down to the box truck (exactly the same size and design as the trucks that delivered our stuff in the first place, what a coincidence!) and I noticed that one lane was completely passible, but he said he couldn't bring the truck down and his boss was trying to call me. His boss (in North Carolina) asked me if there was a U-Haul nearby, so that I could rent a truck to ferry the furniture and appliances from the house to the truck. I replied that I wasn't aware of a U-Haul anywhere nearby. And as the appliances were upright full sized refrigerators, I didn't think that was going to be doable, and might remove the need for the big truck in the first place, so I told him that I didn't think we could do business. So his guys left. Hope they had a great breakfast. Too bad they didn't have a smaller box van with a lift gate, and too bad the men that showed up had a Can Don't attitude. As no money was exchanged there's no harm, no foul, but I have been hearing about this all day from my wife...oh well, I'll know better next time.
