I was unable to get an appointment with my hair dresser before I left so I tried someone new and he literally destroyed my hair. I heard great things about Alberto Chi and decided to give him a call. He was able to get me in right away. After a short 10 minute cab ride I was dropped off at his studio. The studio was super cute, clean and professional as was Alberto. I explained to Alberto what had happened and what I was wanting. In no time Alberto worked his magic and completely transformed my hair from a fried mess to the best hairstyle and coloring I have ever had. Alberto's prices were very reasonable and worth every cent. If I could come to Cancun every couple of months just to have my hair done by Alberto I would. Enzo is friendly, personable and I could listen to him speak Italian all day - while his English is not fluent, I could listen to him speak English with his strong Italian accent all day long!! The most beautiful language and the most beautiful accent ever anywhere. Between Italian, Spanish and English we had no problems communicating. Enzo was more affordable than a couple other places I contacted and I am very happy with the results! He comes from an entire family of hair stylists and barbers so I felt I was in very good hands. Right next store to my hotel, so I wouldn't get wet on the walk over. $50 USD, I'm told, plus tip and credit card service charge, should I use one. Pedicure started a bit rocky as the faucet of the sink basin wasn't working properly. My technician had to draw water from another receptacle and deliver it to the basin. On to the pedicure, she drew blood on not one, but two different toes with her cutting of nails. When scrapping my feet for dead skin, I had to prompt a stop as she scrapped a bit too much. I did count my toes to make sure I had all ten. Manicure was a bit better with technique and cutting style. About halfway through the mani, I was offered a refreshment - water, tea, or coffee. I opted for espresso an hour into my visit. Staff were okay, although they spoke little to no English for a seemingly high-end business in the Cancun hotel zone. Personally, I won't return.
