Attached to the enormous J&R Cigar shop, this is a great place to stop after shopping to grab a sandwich and enjoy a nice smoke. Being one of the few places in NJ that lets you smoke a cigar, eat, and drink a beer all in one room makes this special to begin with. The food was pretty decent, having tried two different sandwiches now I can safely say it's worth the value. Pricing isn't ridiculous. The best part? You get a fairly decent (~$6) cigar for free with your lunch. Next time I go to J&R to restock, I definitely intend to stop by and grab some lunch from this place afterwards.

If you know what's what, you know this bad is the shit.

There are very few places left in the world where you can smoke cigars indoors while eating lunch…read more The food here is very mediocre ... and expensive! You do get a free cigar (which is actually a pretty nice, brand name stick in most cases) with your meal, which I am sure goes with the cost. Before the world went utterly insane with inflation ... It used to be one of the best deals ever. The food was $12.95 plus the free cigar! Now, it's more like $23 per sandwich. Owch. The best value was the cheese plate, which at $15 was huge and included fruit. Now, that cheese platter is actually smaller than it used to be and costs $44! The decor is pretty cool ... dark and moody ... but there are a couple TVs with sports playing and high ceilings. The air purification makes it smell a lot less like cigar smoke than it used to ... but know that whatever clothes you wear here will likely need a dry cleaning after. The waitresses have been here forever ... and there are a lot of regulars. Imagine what a guy would look like that would want to smoke a cigar while eating and that's exactly what you will find here as a customer. Fake Sopramos accent ... beefy ... loud ... gold chain ... It's a 'bro crowd' for sure with some flashy investment banker types mixed in. Lots of Hummers and G-Wagons in the parking lot. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves cigars. The food is edible and in some cases even good. But nothing amazing. I've had the corned beef sandwich ... don't expect NYC deli quality ... the flatbread (Trader Joe's is just as good) ... and the Cuban sandwich. All okay. The Cuban left me hungry. You can also eat at the bar and peruse their extensive whiskey and beer menu. The drinks are pricey, so a sandwich, a beer ... and I guess you could count the free cigar ... come to around $40, after tip.

Once I stock up and quality cigars I always sit down in the lounge area and smoke one with a cup of coffee. The service in the lounge is great. The place is clean and the music is great. Zero Stars! I walked…read morein on Sunday with my girlfriend as we always try to hit up all of the local breweries, tap rooms, and brewpubs when we are traveling or visiting towns to support the small craft beer industry because we always enjoy their beers and the environment. Now with that being said, this isn't any of the three. First off, we walked in and up to the bar and asked for a drink menu and the bartender who had zero personality, didn't say hello, how are you, wasn't smiling, and then says hold on let me see if I can serve you. Wait what? Isn't this a craft beer bar? He said there is a christening going on and I don't know if they want anyone else in here. I was like are you serious? A christening in a bar and with nothing on the door or anywhere saying the bar is closed for a party. Gotcha! So some guy walks up to him while he is talking to us and says he doesn't want us in there. Hilarious!!! I hope the owner knows you denied business to actual customers because some local cool guy wanted the whole place to himself to have his kids christening at a local bar so everyone could enjoy their quesadillas(from what I seen walking out). FYI: there was no one sitting at the bar or bar area just about 10-15 people sitting at a couple tables eating and drinking. I'll never return for any reason.

Upside: * Friendly servers (x2 for our night)…read more* Very nice atmosphere. Laid back, not as loud as the rest of M-town. * Games! We played Battleship and Connect Four. * Tasty food. Matches the Frog menu. * Nice beer selection - 20 on tap. * Only had summer beers since it's July. Only dark beer was Guinness, oh well. So I tried the mule since they have so many. The one mule I had was fantastic - I forget the name, but it's the Mexican one with the jalapeno. Actually spicier than our calamari! Wonderful drink. Downside: * A bit pricy. But that's Morristown in general. Whatcha gonna do. * 1-star deduction: Rude bartender. I thought beer #10 was smudged so I asked about it and she said it was gone. I then saw a different one in the online menu so I asked the friendly server if the tap was replaced. The rude bartender turned around and snapped "I told you it's tapped. It's done. Don't ask." Minus one star for the bartender, but fortunately the rest of the night went great here. If the establishment reads this - please deal with whoever was behind the bar yesterday around 5-6 PM. I would literally turn around and walk back out if I saw her, and I would absolutely stay if she wasn't there.

The inside is also decorated very beautifully. We ordered a few appetizers to split - guac trio, nacho plate, and shrimp ceviche. All good, just not outstanding for me. For the main course most of us got tacos. Although on the smaller side the tacos came with 5 each and were surprisingly filling. My Carolina barbacoa tacos were absolutely delicious. For dessert we ordered churros and they brought it out with a candle and a sombrero for me to wear while they sang happy birthday. The manager also took a photo of me and printed it out in a little card for me to take home, a nice touch. Overall god experience, would come back again.

Our server was sweet and made great recommendations about the menu! To drink, I had the watermelon frozen margarita, and it was stronger than I expected. Still sweet and refreshing, though! My friends and I shared the truffle tuna tostada. The fish was delicious and I loved the truffle aioli on top! For my meal, I had the shrimp tacos. I liked that instead of a few big, clumsy tacos, it came with 5 smaller tacos. I found it so much easier to eat the tacos this way! Overall, I enjoyed my meal. The prices were a tad high, but the quality of food was good and so was the service.

The rooms were so cold that my guests had to wear their jackets the entire time. Their solution was to use several small space heaters throughout which didn't do anything to warm up the rooms and only managed to continuously trip the circuits and shut out the lights. Also, do not use their in house catering. I wish I knew the name of the caterer they used because they would deserve a review of their own. The penne vodka was so spiciy you could not eat it. Normally the pasta would be one of the first things to go so you know it was really bad - it was barely touched. How do you screw up the pasta? Thankfully I had ordered a couple of extra trays of food because there would not have been enough food otherwise. Not sure how they calculate their food portions or maybe Mike just needs to review my food order with the caterer to see what was ordered vs what was delivered. Because definitely something is off. No complaints about the staff. They just couldn't overcompensate for the bad experience.
