When our server came she asked, several times, about what drinks we wanted and when we didn't order alcoholic drinks and said all we wanted was food, our waitress seemed puzzled. This is a great place for cocktails and other drinks. You can get some small serving of decent food to accompany your drinks. Their menu focuses on alcoholic drinks. I'm glad we finally tried it, but unlikely to return. it did have a very nice ambience, and the bar is long and nicely decorated, with plenty of seatIng there and in the dining room. The food was expensive and nothing really stood out. The tacos were small and barely had any meat. The street corn was bland. The chicken sandwich was also bland except for the cabbage slaw. It was really dark inside, made it difficult to see the menus without using a phone light. Service was fine, but there was a bit of a snafu when one of the people at our table asked for recommendation for one of the cocktails that wasn't sweet, and a bartender recommended one of them, and it ended up being sweet. I've seen this restaurant driving in Morristown but never tried it. Since we are kind of running out of new restaurants to try we thought we'd give it a try for Saturday dinner n went last night. The grain bowl was v fresh n refreshing w zucchini, corn, quinoa, tomatoes n garbanzo beans n a nice jalapeño ranch dressing. The peach salad was good too w pieces of peach, arugula cranberries n blueberry vinaigrette. For entrees had the shrimp n grits, Yuka fries and peri peri wings. We had an excellent dinner at End of Elm. Would definitely recommend reservations, as it was extremely busy on a Saturday night, with all tables full and a crowd in the bar area. Luckily, we had our table reserved and were seated right away. Both the drinks and food were delicious. The absolute strongest recommendation I can give is to order the Big Bully. That is definitely our go to drink whenever there - perfect blend of spicy and a bit sweet (but not too sweet). I'm already craving another one! Our favorite dishes were the Brussels sprouts salad (the bleu cheese, pickled onions, and cashews blend really well together) and the mushroom & truffle pasta (good truffle flavor, but not overwhelming and the squash mixed in was a good complement). The only dish we didn't love, and probably wouldn't order again was the burrata. The burrata itself was absolutely creamy and delicious, but the mix with the butternut squash puree didn't mix well for us. It was too strong and took away from the burrata taste. After a bite with it all together, we quickly separated and scraped any butternut squash and beets off the cheese. Great components individually though! We got a bunch of the smaller plates and were informed which menu items were more entree sized but everyone was pretty disappointed. I think the best thing we had out of the 8 dishes we tried were the yuca bites. Met my friends for dinner at End of Elm, and it was such a great experience! The food, drinks, and service were all on point. We started with the Winter Salad, which was so fresh and flavorful. The baby kale, pomegranate seeds, hazelnuts, and feta worked perfectly together. The Burrata with Ramp Pesto was creamy and delicious, and the Yuka Bites were crispy and addictive. For mains, we had the Veggie Burger--loved the stamped bun, and it was packed with flavor. The Mushroom and Truffle Pappardelle was rich, earthy, and absolutely amazing. Some of the drink favorites were: Poise it up, Tiki AF, Hit the Rumway, Smoke Point and Daydream on Elm Street (personal favorite). All were delish! Our food choices were mostly favorable as well - shrimp n grits, mushroom truffle pappardelle, tuna pizza, ribeye kebabs, winter salad. The chicken and waffles were the least favorable feeling that waffles were a little dry but chicken was good. Stopped in to Elm of Elm for lunch on a friend's birthday. We were excited to try it out, but the experience was alright. I must say the restaurant interior itself was beautiful. It was quaint and sophisticated, and had unique expensive art for sale on the walls. Our server was also nice and training another, which was fine. Portions were a bit small in our opinion, but we were a group of four so it's understandable. The shaved Brussels salad (without blue cheese) was my favorite. It was delicious and made the experience worthwhile. The flavors paired so well together and the miso dressing was so tasty and addicting. I would recommend this menu item to everyone!! The burrata was alright for the price, it came with some sour not so pretty strawberries (not entirely the fault of the restaurant, just wanted to mention it) and there was minimal chili flakes on the dish, with not many pieces of bread (more than pictured but there were 4 of us and not much to go around). The burrata tasted good though, especially paired with the Brussels salad. The calamari was crispy and best eaten when hot but those who tried it wouldn't get it again. We also got tres leches for dessert-- it was tasty and they were nice enough to put a candle on the dessert for my friend. However, I enjoyed the drinks and I'd come back to try some more. The Let's Get Fizzical was delicious and perfectly made. I had my doubts because of a drink with egg whites, but it was great. The Evening Prayers was also good, and quite Strong, which is mentioned on the menu with the "boozy" symbol-- and expected when you mix vodka, gin, and wine. :) I'd also note that this restaurant does brunch on Saturday & Sunday, and I'd be willing to give their brunch menu items a try, but it was pretty average to me. read more

The space is not very well lit and there aren't many windows. It was a much more divey feel than I had expected. Not a huge deal though. I guess the most disappointing part was the food, which was lackluster for the price. For something like $15 or $16 the tacos came with the most teensy portion of meat. The fried chicken sliders were very breaded and barely had any meat, mostly just crunchy breading. Drinks were good and there's a solid selection of cocktails and craft beers. I came here with a friend I haven't seen in YEARS and I am so glad she picked this spot. We visited on a Saturday for brunch around 1PM. Parking is limited; I parked at the train station parking lot and paid a little over $5 for an entire day where as, if you park at the meters in the front you have to put money in them every 30 minutes. End of Elm is beautiful! It's open and receives natural lighting from the huge windows in the front. My friend and I got a cozy section towards the back and started off with a cocktail called Poire It Up which was delish! For an entrée, my friend ordered the Eoe Burger and I ordered the Veggie Burger both with truffle fries. We enjoyed both of our meals! What I loved about the veggie burger is that you can tell the patty is made in house and not frozen. The truffle fries were amazing as well! For dessert, the cheesecake is *chefs kiss* My friend and I spent almost 5 hours here and we did not feel rushed at all. We were there so long we had to switch waitresses lol! I came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. My husband and I split the bacon mac and cheese to start- absolutely delicious! Topped with a poached egg, plenty of bacon and crispy breadcrumbs, it hit the spot. I appreciate this place. They're not trying too hard or pushing a certain theme. It's modern, but they feature different (what I presume is) local artists' work on the walls. Definitely a great vibe. Service was quick and friendly. Their menu is different from the standard style menu. There's no sections- it is just one long column of food. This place is described as a tapas/small plate restaurant. My friend and I split the sushi pizza - had a good texture and a good crunch...but I wanted a more umami flavor. The pork arepas were excellent. I would totally get these again. You can choose to get 3/4/5 for your order. I did 3 and totally could have had 4. My friend had a meal that had kale in it. A very nice bar that is located a short bit further from the green. This is definitely a fancier establishment tailored to individuals wanting to have a pricier but top shelf experience. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this place. It was very nice on the inside and the general vibe was chill and classy. The staff here are also very nice and come around a lot to help with drinks and refills. The drinks here are very good and well worth the extra dollars. These drinks are well made and created haing high quality alcohol. My glass had a sugared rim and little slice of fruit. These are great drinks! The food is also very good. We had truffle fries, which were fairly truffle flavored and some soft beef tacos which were incredibly tasty. The apps here are definitely very good and not too messy. I really enjoyed my time here. We selected a variety of shared plates, and while the food was good, it was missing a certain something that wowed for that fifth star. In fairness we tried a dish that our server later let us know was new to the menu, seeking our feedback. We let her know it didn't ring our bell and when the check came she let us know she had knocked it off the bill. We have been to End of Elm many times and loved it every time. However, yesterday was much different. We had a reservation, but they sat us in the front of the restaurant near the windows and the sun was simply unbearable. I mean shining right on your face. We asked to move to a different table but was told us no because there were other reservations. We endured this uncomfortableness for a little bit, all the while, seeing a table for two that was never sat in the entire time we were there. Very disappointing, considering we are regulars and they know that. If you're going to have tables in the beaming sun and very little air conditioning on, the least you can do is put blinds on the windows End of Elm. Caroline was our server, and she was very nice. We started with the Irish coffee, and it was tasty but needed a little more whiskey, which Caroline gave. My friend didn't like hers so changed it to a different drink which she liked a lot. For our meals, I got the chicken and waffles and asked for no bacon. My friend got the veggie burger. When the food came out, it looked good. My friend said her veggie burger wasn't hot enough and not great. I thought the chicken and waffles were just ok. When I got to my last chicken piece, I noticed some bacon looking pieces and I got freaked out. They told me it wasn't bacon, but I did not want to take any risks especiallysince the originaldish is supposed to come with bacon. They gave me 1/2 off the dish, which I appreciated. Came on a Sunday night for dinner, we had reservations but it was pretty quiet at 6pm. It did start to fill up by the time we left. Overall the food was pretty good but there were a few dishes that didn't quite meet expectations. The best dishes we had were the tuna pizza, duck, short rib croquettes, burrata and creme brulee. The crispy rice for the tuna pizza made the dish special. Duck was tender and flavorful. Burrata comes with fried green tomatoes and toasts which helps balance out the creamy cheese. Creme brulee was perfect and a nice sharing size. Salmon avocado toast and butternut squash risotto were fine. The flavor of the moules frites seemes a little confusing. The lava cake took a long time and ended up being super tiny and was not really lava, just creamy peanut butter center. We had 5 people and we each had just a small bite of that dessert. My cocktail - the Kimmy spritz - was too sweet for having gin and grapefruit in it. Was hoping for something more refreshing. Overall the service was good and our waters refilled regularly.
