The Bradley Boulder Inn - The great room is cozy and spacious.

    The Bradley Boulder Inn

The location of the inn is perfect and the home itself divine. The room was sadly a huge…read moredisappointment. The trash can by the desk was full of Mucinex boxes and tissues. The lamp and clock on the chipped and stained nightstand were completely crooked which was odd. We thought for a moment that we walked into the wrong room. This $300 stay was in a room that can be seen at a $120 La Quinta Inn. I travel for a living and am in roughly 30+ hotels a year. I was thankful though that the bed and pillows were comfortable enough to sleep well in. The towels are rough and cheap or old maybe? The bathroom counter needed repair. Just overall not good. Upon first arrival to the inn we walked in to be greeted by one in tact and one half eaten small muffin on the food bar which I guess was the snack offering as it was on a little service dish not an individuals plate. Super uninviting. The parking was great though and appreciated. We did enjoy the Great Room a little while during our stay which was cozy. When we got back from our dinner on Friday evening just before 9pm we wanted a cup of hot tea for bed and there was no longer any hot water on the beverage bar. What a disappointment. I will also say the tea choices were worse than that at a Hampton Inn. Very basic and not even close to even what a mid level hotel offers. The breakfast was nice. Quiche looked amazing but by the time we came down to eat at 9:45 which I understand is 15 minutes before it ended - the warmer was off and the quiche was cold. We did grab a muffin which tasted like it was from Safeway or Costco but it helped as we were hungry. Instead we had to eat a light bite across the street at the cafe. Another disappointment. Overall what could and should have been a really special experience felt like a run down room with a mediocre breakfast experience. I came with my adult daughter to celebrate her 26th birthday and I have to be honest and say that I felt terrible that I chose this inn. We made the best of it and really enjoyed our time together just the same because after all that is what mattered most.

The Bradley is fine, provided you're not expecting a luxury hotel experience. This is an INN,…read morey'all. There are only 12 rooms. It's right off of the main drag of downtown Boulder. C'mon, folks. The pros: The staff are nice (and who really cares if a staff member is a little high, this is Colorado, per the other review--Bradley is a super nice guy and I never saw him stoned during my nearly one week stay) The breakfast is lovely--fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, baked goods, and quiche--along with coffee, tea, etc. If it's your thing, you can have drinks around 5pm with some snacks Prime location in downtown Boulder with parking Lovely great room and office area The cons: Yes, the rooms are somewhat dated--I stayed in two different rooms, and one had some really worn carpet--but they're clean You can experience a decent amouont of road noise on the first floor, and I didn't have luck getting help with my suitcase up to the second floor (and I had a sprained shoulder, but it was manageable) They have wifi and now cable (along with DVD players, though I had to have them replace the DVD player) but no smart TVs if you are obsessed with that Overall, I'd stay here again...and I'm PICKY.

Aspen Hollow - Deck that overlooks the city of Granby

We had looked for a hotel in the area but none had great reviews, so we hunted for a BnB. Luckily we found Aspen Hollow, such a nice place to stay. We arrived and were greeted by Marilyn, shown a great and comfortable room, and were treated to a couple glasses of wine before we turned in. This place has a lot to offer, there is a recreational space with hot tub, sauna and big screen tv with tons of movies, as well as a separate great room for peaceful relaxation as it overlooks the valley of Granby and has a huge fireplace that must be amazing in the winter. We got up in the morning to coffee waiting for us, and a delicious breakfast, fresh fruit, powdered sugar french toast and sausage. I am so glad we stayed here. I was hesitant at first because there wasn't a lot of info about this place but it turned out to be a great decision. We will be going back for sure. A couple of things I will say that were unique about this place that really struck me as fantastic and unusual. First, the quality of the building is pretty high, the floors are tile and heated, so in the great room on the mail floor your feet are warmly greeted in the morning for breakfast. Another thing I noticed is there are a lot of quality in the details. The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were top notch. Many times when staying in places such as these, and others like vbro or airbnb you find that people just want to make a buck without giving a quality overall experience. Many times you find that people cheap out, and this place does not. The level of quality is very high, so high that despite not having family or anything in Granby, we will likely go back to just relax for a few days because it was such a good experience. I would recommend checking this place out.

Juniper Lodge & Treehouses - Parlour with games and books

Luxury Treehouse? If…read morethe concept of a luxury treehouse is an oxymoron for you, perhaps you should visit Juniper Lodge Treehouses. The expertly appointed, and finished small houses with trees outside of every window, each with a rotating supply of birds, is owned and operated by a couple nice enough to be Canadians. The 40 yard hike up a slight grade on a lighted path is almost enough to convince you that you are "in the mountains." The view from the outdoor seating area in front of each house of the valley is calming and the altitude makes the night's sleep feel well earned. Highly recommend.

Juniper Lodge is a magical place, with lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to relax -- think rocking chairs, hot tub, game room, and firepits -- and Evergreen Lake and the cute little town of Evergreen are just a short drive away. In addition to the five rooms in the lodge, the property has two awesome-looking treehouses available to stay in, with plans for four more to be built in the near future. Although Juniper Lodge is conveniently located close to I-70, the property itself is woodsy and quiet. We enjoyed making s'mores at one of the firepits while watching swarms of hummingbirds drink and battle each other at the nearby feeders. I loved sitting in one of the rocking chairs on the deck overlooking the forest, reading my book, drinking my coffee, and listening to the birds sing. We also explored the trail above the lodge leading to the treehouses and a stage area that would probably be a neat place for a wedding. We only met Ashley during this visit, but she was kind, attentive, and passionate about the property. We would highly recommend Juniper Lodge to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet, and romantic place to stay.
