Wow. I can't recommend this place enough. Stayed here for a work trip and so glad I was able to experience this incredible boutique hotel. I arrived a little early for check-in and right when you enter, there is a tiny waiting room with an elevator. They had a sign that said between certain hours, you can actually head up the elevators to the next floor to check-in on an Ipad. I ended up trying that, but it didn't work haha, which honestly is because I booked the hotel through a website for work so I'm assuming that's why. I waited another ten minutes in the lobby area and when 3pm hit, they opened the doors to the hotel lobby/restaurant area. Also, I need to mention how incredible it smelled in the lobby. Seriously. This entire place thought of everything, even down to the smell. I loved it. Omg how dreamy and beautiful it is!! I was able to check-in with one of the girls in the lobby and it was seamless. She told me all about how the hotel worked. Typically, they don't have anyone there after 7pm but they have numbers in the hotel room if it's an emergency and you need something. They also sadly had a buyout for the restaurant so I didn't get to experience it, but definitely will come back and check it out next time I'm in Denver. Okay now for my room. HOLY WOW! I was on the third floor and the ceilings were soooo high. I've never had a room like that before. These rooms are so clean and beautiful. I felt more like I was staying at a friends cozy guest room than a hotel, which was amazing. They also came by the next day and made my bed and freshened up my room, too, which was so nice. The bed was also super comfy, too, which I appreciated. The location of this hotel is also super ideal. There is a restaurant across the street and a couple steps further is a coffee shop. Seriously such a great spot to stay within walking distance of some cool spots. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel! read more

Horrible experience!! I had a family emergency and booked quite last minute. I paid in full and missed the first night as we made a mistake... no communication from the hotel! We showed up late around 10:30pm from our flight and they have no front desk just an IPad to check in! I am with my 19 month old baby and husband and just wanted to check in and got to sleep. I kept putting in my information and it kept rejecting it... again no person or phone number to contact. Finally another guest who stays there a lot reached out to the manager and he said we were a NO Show even though we had booked two nights and THEY GAVE OUR ROOM AWAY AND TOOK OUR MONEY WITH NO COMMUNICATION. When we tried to explain to the hostess who I guess also runs the after hours, she was so rude and asked why we didn't call them!!! We are the customer and they took our money and also booked it out!!! The team was absolutely rude and snappy! THEY SOLD OUR ROOM AND TOOK OUR MONEY!! HORRIBLE customer service! We ended up having to book another hotel - the Brown Palace and they were beyond gracious and understanding! read more

The room itself was clean and a good design, but that's where the positive ended. My credit card has now been billed three times for my stay and no one understands why. Trying to reach anyone who can do anything about it is impossible. No one is ever available at the property and only the property can fix anything. You have to chase through several outsourced companies to talk to someone who says they have to email the property and get back to you in 72 hours. Guess what happens in 72 hours. Correct. Nothing. I found 15 different phone numbers for this property and have gotten nowhere except looped back into outsourced phone menu and incompetent customer service hell. Ironically the AI operator gave me the personal number of a former employee who confirmed it's impossible to reach a warm body in this place. I'll just start putting these charges in dispute with my credit card company and when it racks up hundreds of dollars THEY have to pay to process the dispute then someone will wake up and do something. So... stay at your own risk if you enjoy spending hours listening to on hold music, getting hung up on my operators in the Netherlands and generally like chasing people down to no resolution that anyone can actually provide. read more

We enjoyed our stay, but there are several things that could be improved.  First, the pros:  - ​Beautiful hotel - ​Fantastic location - ​Smooth check in/check out process - Comfortable bed - ​Nice bath products - ​Friendly staff - ​Plenty of street parking - ​Handy to have a coffee shop and restaurant across the street Now for the cons: The most significant problem here is the motion-activated lights in the bathroom, in both the toilet/shower room and the outer sink/wardrobe room. The lights turn on at the slightest movement, and they are BRIGHT when they come on. You can adjust the brightness level with a button, but once the timer runs out and the lights turn off, they default back to their brightest setting and come back on again at full brightness. This is a big problem, as in the middle of the night if you need to use the bathroom, the light absolutely blinds you and you can't see a thing. Plus you become completely and totally awake, so good luck getting back to sleep for a while.  To combat this problem, we had to cover the motion sensor with paper and tape to prevent the lights in the sink/wardrobe room from turning on at all. Another problem with the motion lights is in the shower room - the timer on the lights is quite brief, and the lights shut off twice during each shower, leaving me showering in the dark. The towel & robe hooks near the shower are positioned such that the hanging towels and robes block the motion sensor, so when you're in the shower you can't just wave your hands and get the lights back on. You must open the door and reach all the way out, letting cold air into your warm shower.  The bathroom light situation was a significant problem, and I would not stay at this hotel again unless it was remedied. There were many other problems here that are better categorized as annoyances, instead of deal-breakers like the motion lights.  - ​The room itself had very poor lighting. The room was so dark that even with all lamps turned on and the curtains open in broad daylight, I had to use a flashlight to see what I was getting out of my suitcase. Loco. - ​There were more robe or coat hooks on the wall near the foot of the bed, but they were unusable - if something was hanging there, there would be no clearance through the narrow space between the foot of the bed and the wall. Meanwhile, there was a large area of wasted space in the bathroom next to the wardrobe that could have had a coat rack, wall hooks, or shelves.  - ​The aforementioned narrow passage between the foot of the bed and the wall was problematic, as there were only a few inches of room to squeeze through, and the wall corner at that location is RIPE for stubbed toes. I had to place a pillow on the floor at that corner to ensure I wouldn't stub my toe in the dark. - ​The sink has no counter space at all, so there's almost nowhere to place the items you need while getting ready. - ​The shower had a small shelf on which to place some toiletries, but its location was bad - it's right where you are standing, and I whacked my elbow painfully on it a couple of times. Meanwhile there's a huge area on the other side of the shower where the shelf would have been perfect. - ​The sink faucets are very short - they're so low that when you're rinsing the soap off your hands, you are forced to touch the bottom of the sink, which is kind of gross. They should have installed slightly taller faucets - even an inch or two higher would have been sufficient.  - The pocket doors on the bathroom are VERY loud, such that you'll wake your partner if you need to open/close one while they're sleeping. - ​The mini fridge made an absolute racket the entire time. It sounded like a cross between doves cooing and someone playing an old-timey washboard underwater. - ​The air conditioner was loud when it cycled on. This didn't bother us very much, but it's worth noting. - The walls are very thin. When we were in the bathroom area we could hear our neighbors' conversation perfectly. - ​Not enough hangars in the wardrobe - I had to put three items of clothing on each hangar. - ​The Apple TV remote and/or app didn't work - there was a message saying that we could play our own music, but there was no way to do that. The "trackpad" button on the remote didn't seem to work, and none of the menus visible on the TV screen led to anything useful. These types of annoyances are easily fixed. We found it baffling that despite the lovely, thoughtful aesthetic choices, there seemed to be no attention to detail regarding functionality and comfort. read more

Okay, this is not your normal hotel. We saw the bunk beds online and immediately thought we should try it out. First of all the place smells great. You walk into the front door to the elevator and restaurant/living area (more on this later.) The elevator has a sensor and you have an electronic key on phone app. We started in the 240 ft^2 with 4 bunks. The room has a sink, toilet, nice shower, 4 bunks and 4 lockers. The room is for sleeping and it is super comfortable but very tight. No chairs or TV. The next night we're in the larger 2 bunk room with a Full bed. Super nice with a living area and large bathroom. Kids loved the bunks and wife liked the real bed. Also it was fun to hear the city around us. The living area was the social area until it converted over to the Wild Horses restaurant. The service in the common area was brilliant. Great coffee and wonderful "small" plates. We loved our experience and will stay here again...in the larger room. Hi read more

This place is beautifully decorated and located above a nice restaurant, but it lacks some standard basics that you expect from a hotel. There's no lobby or anyone in attendance to manage the place physically- which is whatever. The restaurant doesn't open until 3pm and there are no common areas to work or take a call from. Within the rooms, we had nice le labo bath products and a comfy bed, but on the other hand were missing simple things like tissue paper, and the bathroom had virtually no shelves or counters to put any of your things on. There is also no "do not disturb" signs to Hang on your door and i had the cleaning staff walk in on me while I was sleeping. A little underwhelmed for the price of the stay. read more

Loveeeeeee this place. I don't know how else to share my new obsession with the best thought-out hotel in Denver. Firstly, the rooms and bed options are what make this place the coolest. I haven't seen this anywhere else in Denver. These are adult bunk beds. Bunks with double beds and stairs so no one is having to climb around. We booked the Victorian 6 and have the perfect amount of beds and enough living room space to just hang out in the room. There were lockers in the bathroom for us to store our stuff and we all had our own bed and a good night's sleep with the little curtains around our bunks to block out light. Each bed is set with a plug so you can charge your phone, complete with a little shelf to put it on. The location is perfect. It is centrally located right in the Denver highlands. It is directly across from Acova which is a great restaurant and has a huge patio which is good for current times. The hotel itself it interesting. There is not a front desk and everything is electronic. You check-in from your phone and can download a room key in the app. That doesn't mean you don't have face-to-face service. I had a little frustration in the beginning because no one answers their phone, however, they are quick to get back to any voicemails you leave and will even text you upon your arrival. You can use this as communication during your stay. You can also pop into the restaurant downstairs and get an actual room key and get assistance from the general manager for any of your needs. We were able to order cocktails from the cute lounge downstairs called Wild Flower and they were brought directly to our room. They were delicious. We were also able to order oat milk lattes that were brought up in the morning. An 11 am check out time was just the ticket and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. The beds, the service, the EVERYTHING. My girlfriends and I will be making this a yearly tradition! I highly recommend it! read more

It does not pull out from the wall either so you cannot see the TV from any bed only if you sit on the couch which we could not do. - I can not tell what it is exactly but there is a construction company next door r something and some type of loud jackhammer noise till 11pm and again starting at 7am. I feel bad pointing out these items as most of them could easily be remedied by simple tweaks from the owners. The trip to Life House LoHi started out on an exceptionally high note! Vanessa Cain greeted me with a gentle smile and quickly began working magic to accommodate my early arrival, broken foot, need for a haircut and a bite for lunch. Her guidance was exceptional as was her demeanor. It was a pleasant surprise to what was obviously a beautiful hotel. The room was chic as were all of the fine linens, towels and drapes. There were views of downtown and excellent music selections that put you at ease. That evening Vanessa booked me at Wildflower, the on-site restaurant with many well-deserved 5-star reviews. Orin made some recommendations and I enjoyed a stellar meal accompanied by hand-crafted cocktails that aligned perfectly to the palette. No kitchenet. Very small cramped room. No ice available anywhere. No lounging area. No common area for coffee, only a one cup coffee maker in the room. No breakfast. There is no common area except one small couch facing the elevator. Mini fridge didn't close correctly and frozen food all thawed out. TV did not work, had to have tech support reboot. Difficult to operate pocket doors for bathroom. No do not disturb tag for door knob. Asked for no room service, but maids entered room anyway. Outdoor speakers, for the onsite restaurant were right outside our window, making it hard to sleep till 11 PM. when the grossly overpriced restaurant closed for the evening. Parking in the evening was very difficult on the street. No parking lot at the site. Bathroom lights come on, full blast every time you walk into the bathroom overnight, due to motion detector activation which could not be controlled or defeated. I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars. It's so cute and in a great neighborhood. However, there were several things that simply missed the mark. The hotel room was aesthetically pleasing. Bunks were obviously the big draw. The beds themselves were very comfy and the curtains were a nice touch for added privacy. The hallway decor was nicely done and the restaurant was absolutely lovely. I highly recommend their drinks. The hotel staff was also exceptional. They were very professional, friendly and ready to help in any way. The things that missed the mark: 1) The shower had no shelves to put any personal items that you may bring in the shower. I had to awkwardly balance my wash cloth and razor on their shampoo/conditioner dispensers. 2) The shower is mad of slate I believe and gets slippery when you are using shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. I almost slipped and fell. 3) The shower also was clogged and we had to call the office line to get someone to come up and unclog (which they did promptly and professionally). 4) Only one roll of toilet paper and no Kleenex, only 1 garbage bin in the entire room. 5) Security: My friends and I arrived home late only to find a homeless man standing in the elevator with a wagon. Life House doesn't have the door from the outside into the entry way secured. So, this person was able to come in and wait in the elevator until someone came along and used their key card (us) to go up to our room. He followed us once on our floor and sat in a chair in the hallway. Thankfully he was harmless. However, we recommended to the staff to consider adding a key card lock on the exterior door, not just in the elevator. read more
