I should have trusted Yelp. This restaurant kept popping up on list as the place to have Paella. I saw 3.5 stars on yelp and though maybe yelp has it wrong. They did not. I only ordered the paella valenciana with chicken rabbit and vegetables. It was 85 percent vegetable and small amounts of chicken or rabbit. They didn't have tap water and they brought me bottled even though I said no. I had to asl them to remove it. I never touched the bread or olives they brought out. I even moved them away from me. Was still charged for those items. Service was just average. Don't waste your time here.

So Madrid is not known for their paella however, supposedly if you want to try it this is the premier place to go in Madrid according to multiple foodie blogs . Old school feel of a restaurant ( white table clothes, plastic flowers). Good traditional service with waiters dressed formally. We had the arroz senoryet which is a paella made with peeled seafood ( think fish, mussels, shrimp, octopus). Huge portion. Didn't love it- too salty for my taste. Must order 2 portions so cost us about 60 euro. I found it obnoxious to start they served us bread and olives without asking and charged us euros for this ( I can't remember how many but to me it's off to charge guests for something they didn't order. Overall, this place was ok at best.

An absolute delight, and a uniquely Valencian experience in Madrid. Opens at 1pm--come early for a near private experience. Start with fresh tapas on the house, including olives, a delicate seafood pastry, and freshly baked bread. The paellas are gorgeous, flavorful and crispy, and come right in the pan. Complimentary honey wine, candied oranges, dried apricots and plums follow. Do not miss this spot!

The place was located around a nice area to walk in and walking into the restaurant they have those automatic chairs for those that cant go up stairs (what a plus!). The paella was really good!!!! We ordered the Paella Mixta- the chicken was really good and so was the rice. The paella said it was for 2 people, but it was enough for 4! The calamari were good- not great. They might be better if they were smaller and crunchier. The starting bread was good (seemed homemade) but just really hard to bite- we weren't offered any butter/olive oil. The service was ok- not over the top amazing but it was good. My companions ordered the fried cod fish and loved it! For desert- they fought for the flan so safe to say it was delicious. I ordered the vanilla bean ice cream and it tasted like a true vanilla bean.....i was a fan!

I recommend the arroz senyoret, "The Gentleman's Rice," a delicious paella dish where you don't have to do any work--all of the seafood comes deliciously pre-peeled! Since there's a wait for your paella, get the grilled/assorted vegetables. An amazing assemblage of tomatoes, egg plant, asparagus, zucchini, red bell peppers, and more!

This place is on a quite street next to a park. Ambiance was pretty old school with plastic flowers on the table. We came here hungry and ordered a lot of seafood dishes. Octopus, calamari, and razor clams were good, paella was ok, baby squid were served cold so I hated it the most. There you have it folks, look at my pictures!

Two words.... food poisoning... my wife and I were on the 2nd day of our 2 week honeymoon and we both got food poisoning from this place... good food until we got so sick that we had to go to the emergency room.

The restaurant is pretty upscale and a bit pricey if you get into the seafood platters. We went for a traditional and quality Spanish meal. We got the gambas al ajillo, pulpo, croquetas and cachopo. The shrimp were large and super fresh, same with the octopus. The croquetas were homemade and super delicious and the cachopo was enough to feed an army - they used quality cheese and prosciutto. The food was served timely and everything was hot, fresh and so so good. The service matched the quality of our food. We had two servers, one for food and one for drinks. We ordered a round of sidra (here is not poured in the traditional Asturian way-by machine instead) red and white wine and water for the table. The servers did not miss a beat coming to the table to refill drinks when they were low. Split between 4 people, the price was only €22 per person, waaaaay low considering the atmosphere and quality and quantity of the food and service! We are not huge seafood lovers but by the judge of everyone around this, this is the place to be for both traditional Spanish food and seafood lovers!

We ended up getting the 3 course dinner for 2, a special they're offering for the Spring. Also got the wine paired with it. Delicious! The appetizer serving came with 4-5 different starters, all very good. The tuna samosas and the sausage egg rolls were AMAZING. The hake was soooo good as were the potatoes that came with it. Steak was perfect, minimally seasoned and well cooked. We were too stuffed for dessert, but the bites I had of the rice pudding and cheesecake were divine. Wine was also very good. Service was similarly good. Had some language barriers, but pointing, nodding, smiling worked. The next best thing.... the price. Everything was high quality, well done, and not outrageously priced. Highly recommended.
