Delicious vegan oatmeal with crushed nuts on top and a hint of cardamom spice. Side dish included papaya, blueberries, and star fruit.

Old San Juan is beautiful, but I would not describe it as either peaceful or relaxing. The nights are noisy, occupied by college students, and crypto bro's looking to rage. My partner and I were looking for something different, and we found it here at Casa Grande. The mountain retreat is an hour from old San Juan (appx ~$100 Uber), but from the moment you enter the Utuado mountainside, you know you're entering a completely different world. This past year I've been working non-stop from home, so a getaway retreat with no WiFi was precisely what I needed. It was the single most crucial thing that helped me "turn off." That said, I have Sprint/T-Mobile as my mobile provider, and 5G works well. Every morning I'd enjoy a light data snack before breakfast. The staff is friendly and ready to help with any questions or special requests. The vegan cuisine is excellent, and the restaurant offers a nice selection of red & white wine + local beers. I highly recommend Casa Grande.

Such a serene and beautiful place to stay. Came here to spend my birthday in solitude after a crazy, intense year and this place delivered. Each of the hosts were kind and attentive. The rooms are surrounded by lush greenery and have their own balcony with hammock! During the afternoon rain showers, I peacefully relaxed on the hammock listening to the rainfall. The rain lasted only minutes and I was able to quickly go back to enjoying the saltwater pool. I booked a 60 minute massage which was fantastic and so peaceful. At night, all you can hear are the sounds from the coquis and other various wildlife. I will say, keep in mind there will be a lot of bugs, which I am NOT a fan of, but after a day or so you no longer notice. There are no AC's in the room but the nights are cool enough that you do not need it. I stayed early December so I'm not sure if summer would be different. During the day it was about 85 degrees and at night, it would drop down to about 60-65. The food served is fully vegan. I, personally, am not vegan but every dish I had was exquisite. I was lucky enough to experience multiple chefs during my stay, all of which used simple and fresh ingredients to create complex flavors in each of their dishes. I have never eaten tofu, but I had a tofu scramble that was 10x more delicious than your average egg scramble! I have nut and sesame allergies and a lot of vegan dishes contain both of these ingredients but the chefs were extremely considerate and made sure to not use these in any of their meals. I had a car service pick me up to and from the airport but I would recommend renting a car as leaving the resort isn't really ideal without one. The ride from San Juan airport was easy (1.42min), except when entering the mountain area (20 minutes from the resort). Just need to be cautious of the bends and turns on the one lane road. Would definitely rent a car next time. I wish I took advantage of the mediation and yoga offered. I don't practice yoga but it would've been nice to learn, especially in this environment with certified instructors. I took advantage of the comfortable bed in my room :)

Casa Grande Mountain was one if the highlights of our trip. We especially liked the daily morning yoga and healthy food options as well as the friendly staff which were especially helpful with our late check in time since our flight arrived at night after the front desk already closed so they gave us step-by-step directions to our room which worked out perfectly. Driving there at night in the rain forest worked out fine and sticking to the directions they gave and planning out ahead given the spotty gps I would highly recommend. Casa Grande Mountain was not just a place to stay at night it was a whole experience of rest and relaxation in a peaceful forest environment and it made our entire Puerto Rico experience a great one.

This review is for their restaurant. Truly fantastic food! Eating here was the highlight of our dining experience! Here's some of what we had: Vegetable Rice - Amazing, delicious Tofu Triangles - yummy. Coconut Pudding - inspirational Vegetable Omelet - eggceptional French Toast with bananas - good to the last bite Breakfast Potatoes - seriously tasty Please be aware that getting here is a challenge. (don't use the yelp map!) It's along the way to nowhere except the hotel itself. It'll be highly unlikely you'll be in the area around the limited times breakfast (8-10:30) or dinner (5-7:30) is served. They don't serve lunch. But if you're a guest, definitely check them out. It's so worth it!

We had a wonderful time here. My husband and I were able to totally disconnect (there is zero cell service and the wifi is not strong at all) and we loved every minute of it. We drank strong rum drinks while playing cards before dinner and did yoga in the morning. The restaurant was fantastic. The steak with black beans and rice was to die for. The spinach and feta omelette at breakfast was also delicious. This is a great place to unwind. We highly recommend it.

My 1,150 review is one for the books! Life this summer has been super fun and impromptu. When I…read moretell you I manifested this life, I really did. I'm a firm believer in doing right by people, loving people with all that you got, being faithful and giving them the best version of you even if they don't return it. Because when you do, it all comes back to you. Maybe not in the form of that person, but it comes back ten fold! Let people choose their ego, their ways, and their own actions become their greatest regret. When you're pure, things ALWAYS work in your favor. I am super grateful to have found the most beautiful human ever six months ago! I don't know how long he will be in my life but I'm keeping him as long as I can! He's amazing! My girlfriends say I tell all the boys that they're beautiful but he really is. He is the bougie one between us. We stayed 4 nights 5 days here at the beautiful Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve. Let's talk about the Yelp glitch. I checked in everyday only to realize it was the wrong place so beware. There is Ritz Carlton on the app but it's not this one. I think Dorado Beach at the beginning of the name throws this off. Anyway, on to this beautiful resort. If you have 2k a night to spare (for a regular room) definitely book here. Yes, two thousand dollars a night is what this beautiful resort is going for and it's worth every single penny! The younger members of our group didn't appreciate this hotel but I did! There is only a select few who can afford this place and well, I love to network so this was perfection! We met so many other couples. The families complaint was it was for couples and old people. They wanted more action so if you have younger family traveling with you this may not be the place. Honeymoon, yes! Anniversary, yes! Girls trip, yes! Couples getaway, yes! ENGAGEMENT, YES! Room: There is so much to love about this resort, let's talk about the rooms. OMG! I can't express how magical it was! I've been to quite a few resorts at 5 star hotels this summer but I can tell you this place was a little more special because it's on the beach and the plunge in the room makes it perfect for night time! ROMANTIC! I'd say this is probably the best room but also the most expensive one we've stayed at this summer. He spares no cost when it comes to me and I feel like a princess! So if you want princess treatment, this is it! Spa: Elaine was wonderful, she was my masseuse. The SPA is UNMATCHED! It's huge and it's tranquillizing. If you're balling on a budget at the very least try this spa out if you cannot afford to stay here. You will NOT regret it! They have a tree house that you can get a massage at! I opted for a traditional room, still so calm and comfortable! It smells so good! Staff: Most staff were nice but I'd honestly say they could have been nicer. These people are spending money so complaints were coming. If you're going to charge 2k a night everything should be perfect! I could totally get why the employees might be the way some of them were. Food: There is limited options on sight, luckily there are tons of options outside of the resort. COA and Positivo were two available restaurants. View is amazing and food was great! We opted to dine out every night for dinner. The HIGHLIGHT, there is a Golf Course! You already know, we love Golf! Well, I am starting to love it! And they are adding another course! I loved how pretty it was and cannot wait to come back! Now this was a luxurious peaceful vacation. Thanking God everyday for unanswered prayers! Highly recommend betting on yourself..... and coming to this hotel! Talk about a FLEX! When people take advantage of you let them, Gods in control! Redirection is Gods Devine Protection! Yes! Yes! I DO!

Although he'd reserved a studio, when we arrived, we found we had been upgraded to a one-bedroom unit, as the studio's door was being repaired. Late check in was very easy. The property's deck is large and has a gorgeous view of the beach directly below. You really cannot beat the location of Villa Tropical on Shacks. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the deck whilst watching the sun rise in the mornings before grabbing our gear and walking down the short flight of steps to the sand. The gift shop within the office is a major time saver, too, when you need a drink or snack but don't want to drive. The Econo supermarket is only about an 8-minute drive away, though, when you do want to do a grocery run. It was awesome having a fully stocked kitchen and being able to cook and eat in most meals. We loved grilling on the deck at sunset! The Ola Lola restaurant is a cute spot a short walk away for food or drinks when one would rather skip cooking, too, and in each room, there is a very thorough guide compiled by the management with information on where to find all kinds of things in the area, from film development to entertainment. It was extremely convenient to be able to do laundry on the premises also. The staff are super helpful and maintain VT very well. Our unit (1B) was clean and comfortable, and by the end of our stay, we had fallen into a nice, homey routine. I was sad to leave and understand why Shacks is a place so many return to every year. The beach is clean, the big waves break far from the shore, there are interesting reefs for snorkeling, many days have adequate wind for kitesurfing, and there is a friendly surfer community among those who stay in the area both longer term and seasonally.

We reserved a table at the balcony right at sunset at 6pm. We arrived and promptly got thru the security and were taken to our table and it was the most gorgeous view ever. We ordered the signature drink, The Pirata, and it was delish, very strong , and came in a coconut. We then wanted to order dinner. But no server or employee of any kind came to our table for over an hour after we got our drinks. We waited and waited and when we decided to give up and go elsewhere then finally a server came. So we decided to order since it was about 7:15 and we figured it would take too long to go somewhere else and order. My bf ordered the lobster mofongo in some kind of soup and I got red snapper in a plantain crust. Then again we waited and waited. I was so hungry I started trying to pick the coconut pieces out of my Pirata drink. Finally at 8:11 our food was served, And we were starved. I was prepared to hate the food haha but it was actually so delicious. So I guess come here if you are not starved and have tons of time. And you will get a delicious meal w the most beautiful sunset view.

When I arrived I was checked in and given a tour of the attractive property by the staff member on duty. My room was spacious and comfortable along with the bathroom that had a shower in it. The ac worked well too. The TV was a smaller screen that I think was less than 32" and was mounted high up on the wall so TV watching could be better. The room had a small refrigerator in it. Shortly after checking in I received a series of text messages from the owner regarding information about Isabel II such as restaurants nearby, grocery stores, taxi info, tour companies, etc, which was helpful. Bravo Beach is well maintained with 2 freshwater pools and less than 20 rooms all with outdoor facing entrances. It is located directly on the water with a beach but swimming is not allowed or desired from the shell beach however the beach is available for walking. The hotel does offer the free use of beach supplies like coolers and folding chairs, etc. if you need them. They do have their own small parking lot and more parking next to the hotel but I'm not sure they have enough parking if all of their rooms are full. The hotel is located about a 6-7 minute walk from the ferry terminal. If I returned to Vieques I would be happy to stay at Bravo Beach Hotel again.
