I wish there was negative stars to give My experience with the X-ray program at Casa Loma College Nashville was disappointing and, at times, unprofessional. The environment often felt more like a high school than a professional healthcare education program. Favoritism appeared to play a significant role in how students were treated. Behavior that was overlooked for some students resulted in disciplinary action for others. I observed instructors and staff engaging in conduct that I felt was inappropriate for an educational setting, including discussing students, allowing nicknames that could be viewed as unprofessional, and tolerating behavior that created a negative learning environment. When concerns about misconduct were raised, I did not see meaningful action taken. Academically, I felt the instruction was lacking. Much of the teaching consisted of reading directly from textbooks or slideshows with limited explanation or hands-on guidance. Given the relatively small teacher-to-student ratio, it was concerning to see such a low percentage of students successfully pass certain courses. I also witnessed accommodations and grading adjustments that appeared inconsistent among students. The learning environment was frequently disrupted by unrelated conversations during labs and quizzes. Lab sessions often lacked structure, and equipment or procedures did not always function as expected. Rather than fostering student success, the atmosphere often felt discouraging and unsupportive. For a program that requires a significant financial investment, I expected a higher level of professionalism, accountability, and educational quality. Coordinating with the school has been difficult, particularly as a veteran who relies on clear guidance to coordinate with VA benefits. I paid the application fee and was under the impression that my application was complete. I followed up a few weeks after I submitted all necessary documents and 2 months prior to my intended start date, as I didn't hear anything back from my admissions advisor. This is when I was told I had missed a deadline for one document I must have missed out of many, despite no deadlines ever being communicated. If I had been informed, I would have followed up sooner. I also attempted to contact Nicholas Walsh by email to see if anything could be done but received no response. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. read more

I went through the MR program here, and I have to say that the program is very organized and well planned out. The school has all the knowledge required to become successful in the field, and the staff does an amazing job instilling that knowledge into students. The best part about the school is Simone, the program director. She is the absolute hardest worker I know, while also being the one who cares the most for the students. As a student, even if you do not have many interactions with her, she still knows who you are and she works hard for you, especially in the background where all the work that she does is even more thankless. I do not understand how she can accomplish everything that she does, but my only explanation is that she must have more than the 24 hours in a day that the rest of us have. read more

She is very stern but also very caring, if you want to build a relationship with her you have to talk to her and go to her office hours, you'll understand how above and beyond she'll go for her students. I recently graduated in November and received my A.A in Sonography. I can honestly say I loved my experience here. All my teachers were so amazing such as Bahaa, who I miss dearly and his humor! Of course at times it can be stressful, but the teachers and the friends I've made along the way made me excited to come to school everyday. The financial aid office feels like they're keeping your money in their pockets while head of financial aid would say that certain students had outstanding balance. Seems like pocket change...! After filling out FAFSA and said they lost all our files and had restart. So strange how can you lose student files and not get aid from FAFSA! Who ever is interested do not come here. I just completed my A.S. degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and I must say that my time spent here at Casa Loma College has been amazing! I've been a student at different universities and community colleges, and the personal attention and support that you feel here really make this school special. In regards to the teachers and all of the staff, they really do go above and beyond for the success of their students! If I ever had questions or just wanted extra scanning practice, I could always just send a quick email and they would always help out. I want to give an extra shout out to Arnak and Paul for being great mentors during my time in clinical externship. I was able to get great hands-on experience working in a major hospital, and I always felt supported and encouraged every step of the way! Frankly this school is full of incompetent people. If your the type of person who needs to be in made aware and do everything yourself then by all means go for it. If your the type of person who relies that someone is capable of doing there job correctly, stay away from this place. They can't run transcripts and almost have you lose your start date, didn't go through transcripts and give me classes and a schedule until four days before the start date. They only took care of it when I drove my happy ass to the campus in person, kinda defeats the point of online. Fine once classes begin, out of nowhere I'm told there's mandatory class time I have to log into. Again defeats online do school at my time. Come to find out its optional, so who's lying the school or the teacher. Once done with classes, when do you get your diploma? Apparently when the school feels like it. Had to drive to the campus again because no one knows how to answer a phone, or answer a voice-mail to get information. I just assumed the school would give you a diploma in a timely manor. Only got it two months after I graduated because I somehow got ahold of the president to the school then he took care of it, sad I have to go that high just to get a piece of paper thats owed. They calculate how much the school will cost they had to recalculate the cost and my payments a couple of times, they finally tell me how much I will pay per month and tell me last payment will be month of graduation. Cool, not a problem. Stupid me I again trust they know what they are doing i come to find out once I graduate a few months later I still owe almost 3k! Good lord, the only thing they are good at is making sure your payments go through!! I dont advise this school, it was a fight before and after school started and ended, during was relatively smooth. CLC will require everything you've got to succeed. You get tested weekly and you have deadlines for assignments that you'll have to meet every week. The MRI program is a hybrid program so you'll have one or two classes online and one class on campus. I had a bumpy ride with Casa Loma College meaning that I had a lot of ups and downs throughout the program. It was a learning experience to say the least, both in academic and life lessons. There were many sacrifices we had to experience along the way. My original class started off with 44 people and ended with about 11. IF you work hard, and can push yourself further than that, then I'm sure you can do it. In terms of legitimacy, Casa Loma is legit. That's why I gave a fifth star. The financial aid office will not steer you wrong. The school is pretty straight forward and financial aid keeps it straight. Thanks Lisa!! I received my diploma really fast after graduating too. I am so proud of it. Side note. The only thing I would want from Casa Loma is for them to offer a way for MRI program graduates to obtain their X-ray Credentials. The aforementioned CRT is only available to those who went to X-ray school. Take note of that as you need X-ray credentials to land a lot of good hospital jobs in California. I am a current student, attending my fifth semester of the DMS program. My experience here at Casa Loma College is a period of my life that I will never forget. When you enter any program in a field that you're totally unfamiliar with, you get the sense that you're taking on a huge risk. I started PTA program at Casa Loma College in March 2021 with hesitation for not having any experience in the field and just having a GED in the state. Honestly I don't think I'd get in if it wasn't for the pandemic but I was so determined to work hard. It's been about 20 months since then, I made it. I am still working as a treatment nurse in the same facility in Downtown LA and I have Casa Loma to thank. Positive: School prepared me 110% for the field of physical therapy as an assistant. I have proven to at times even know more than my PT and have had a following of patients whom request me to work with them (many times instead of the PT). Instructors know their craft with mastery. Negative: Instructors were many times confrontational and used scare tactics to keep you in subordination. Saying stuff like" you will flunk out and owe all this money", "If you don't like, we can just fail you". They were condescending at many times and it had a high school atmosphere of discipline. I was threatened to be kicked out over and over, though my GPA was 3.6+ and I graduated Cum Laude. I had nervous breakdowns and now battle constant high blood pressure and anxiety (on medications for both). I was on the verge of being suicidal at times as I had other issues in my life they were aware of, but they had no problem piling more rocks on my chest. They also made me feel like I as some sort of sociopath whom can't work with people (yet I have shined in this respect) Honest review!
