Read This Before Enrolling I don't usually write reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience so others know what they might be dealing with. From June through August of 2025, I made multiple attempts to get help and clear answers about my situation at Glendale Career College. I reached out several times to Dr. Siao and Emily Gonzales through both email and phone calls, just trying to understand what steps I needed to take to move forward. This wasn't just one or two messages -- I followed up repeatedly over several months. I tried to schedule meetings, asked for guidance, and called multiple times. Every time I called, I was told she was either in a meeting or unavailable, and despite repeated attempts, I was never able to connect with her directly. Meanwhile, I was left not knowing what was going on or what I was supposed to do next. The most frustrating part is that I actually did what was asked of me. Emily Gonzales specifically told me to reach out to her regarding re-enrollment, which I did. On August 23, I sent a clear re-entry request (included in the screenshots). A few days later, I was told that I never submitted anything. That didn't make sense to me at all, because I have the email showing that I did. At one point, I was told they had already responded and were waiting for me to confirm an appointment. However, this did not align with my experience at all, as I had been consistently trying to reach them for weeks prior with no response. The appointment times that were eventually offered came after months of being unable to get clear communication, which is what caused the delay in the first place. This situation directly affected my ability to move forward with my education and ended up delaying me by approximately six months before I was able to continue into the next term. After everything escalated, the Director of Operations, Brooke, eventually reached out to me, apologized, and set up a meeting. At the time, I thought things were finally going to get handled. However, going into the next semester, I experienced similar issues again. There were multiple last-minute schedule changes, ongoing disorganization, and instances where classes were scheduled but no instructor was present for extended periods of time. In some cases, students were left waiting for hours without instruction, which made it difficult to maintain any consistent learning environment. When concerns were raised about these issues, the response often involved warnings about being dropped from the program rather than an effort to understand or resolve the situation. This was not just my experience -- multiple students in the class can account for the same issues. During a survey, there was also an emphasis on providing positive feedback rather than honest feedback, which felt discouraging considering the issues that were actively being experienced by students at the time. Students are taking on significant financial commitments for this program, which makes clear communication, organization, and accountability even more important. I made multiple attempts to resolve this privately before posting anything publicly. Situations like this should not happen when students are relying on clear guidance and communication. Timeline of events: * June 26: Initial email sent regarding my situation * July 17: Followed up and attempted to schedule a meeting * July 25: Additional follow-up after no response * August 4: Multiple calls and emails with no response * August 23: Sent formal re-entry request (attached) * August 26: Told I never submitted a re-entry request * August 29: Sent follow-up email summarizing all prior attempts and lack of response I've included screenshots showing the timeline of my communication attempts so you can review everything directly. Honest Review of the BSN Program - Halfway Through Term 2 I'm currently halfway through my second term in the BSN program, and this is my honest review based on my experience so far. While there are positives, there are also important things prospective students--especially working professionals--should be aware of before enrolling. All of the professors are knowledgeable, organized, and clearly invested in teaching. The academic content itself is solid. I also want to highlight the Dean, who has been very responsive and open whenever I've reached out. Her support has been one of the strongest parts of this program. During orientation, it was never mentioned that there would be a clinical component during this term. We were originally told this term would consist of three courses. Once the term began, a fourth course--a Health Assessment clinical--was added, which came as a surprise. This clinical is extremely time-consuming. The work is repetitive, lengthy, and requires a significant time commitment. One assessment alone can take up to five hours to complete and includes additional documentation that often feels redundant. If you have a lot of free time and flexibility, this may be manageable. If not, it can quickly become overwhelming. The Health Assessment course itself is also very demanding. The professor is an excellent professor and clearly passionate about the subject, which I genuinely appreciate. However, the structure requires participation across multiple days for discussion boards--posting on one day, responding to peers on different days, and then responding again to follow-up questions. As a full-time working nurse and a parent to young children I only have limited blocks of time to complete coursework. I don't fully understand the need to spread one assignment across several days when the educational outcome would be the same if completed in one dedicated study session. In addition to the workload, the grading in Health Assessment is very strict. I've consistently done well academically. Last term I earned all A's. This term, despite the same level of effort and engagement, I am currently holding on by a tread in Health Assessment. The grading criteria are rigid, and small point deductions add up quickly. Because Health Assessment and its clinical require so much time, I've found it difficult to keep up with coursework in my other three classes. The volume of work in this one course significantly impacts the time and energy available for the rest of the term, which makes overall balance very challenging. This program is often marketed as being designed for working professionals. In my experience, that may only be true for those with very flexible schedules and minimal outside responsibilities. If you are working full-time while caring for children, elderly parents, or managing additional obligations, this program may not be the best fit due to the heavy workload, time-intensive clinical requirements, strict grading, and rigid participation expectations. I will end with this... there are very strong academic components and dedicated professors , but the workload--especially for Health Assessment and its clinical--is substantial. I plan to post a follow-up review at the end of this term to reflect on the overall experience once it's completed. I am a recent nursing graduate from this program, and I feel obligated to warn prospective students about my experience. I completed all program requirements in April 2026 and was permitted to participate in graduation ceremonies in May 2026 alongside my entire cohort. However, despite graduating, many students have still not been placed into graduate status, our transcripts have not been released, and we have been unable to move forward with NCLEX registration. Over the past several weeks, students have received conflicting explanations regarding the delays. We were initially told that issues related to Kaplan completion requirements were preventing progress. However, we were later informed that completion of Kaplan question banks was not actually a requirement for receiving the necessary authorization to move forward. The explanations continue to change, while students remain unable to take the licensing exam we have spent years preparing for. We have also been informed that the school cannot locate documentation of student clinical hours and that students may need to contact former clinical instructors to help reconstruct records. Maintaining accurate clinical records is the responsibility of the institution, not the students who have already completed the program. During my two years at this school, I witnessed multiple leadership changes, including several deans leaving the program. Communication has been inconsistent, emails frequently go unanswered, and students are left without clear timelines or accountability. Like many of my classmates, I made significant sacrifices to attend this program. I left employment opportunities, accumulated substantial student loan debt, and dedicated two years of my life to completing the requirements necessary to become a nurse. After investing approximately $80,000 in tuition and related expenses, I never expected that the biggest obstacle to becoming licensed would be my own school. Because of these ongoing issues, I have filed complaints with the California Board of Registered Nursing and have retained legal counsel to protect my interests. Prospective students deserve transparency before committing their time, money, and future to this program. read more

Joined CSIT program last year 2025. Now, graduated and finish clinical at USC Keck as well as job offers. Ms.Kipcia (Clinical Instructor for GCC) very helpful and nice with subbing for classes and helping you get all your paperworks done before starting your clinical. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. The program goes by really fast without you knowing. GCC's CSIT program is like a full package program, from classes (online and in classroom) to clinical and afterwords, they have career services to help you with resumes, interviews and finding hospitals that have openings. Disorganized, unfair, and honestly feels like a game of favoritism. Grades change with no explanation, and the same person controlling them is deciding who passes and who doesn't which is a huge red flag. The Director of Nursing is extremely rude, unapproachable, and makes the entire environment uncomfortable. There's no support, no understanding just attitude and intimidation. It feels like students are scared to even ask for help. Asking for help feels like you're bothering her, and the way students are spoken to is honestly unacceptable. There is zero support just attitude, intimidation, and favoritism. Instructors literally disappear or quit, leaving students sitting for HOURS with zero communication or explanation. You can do everything right show up, complete every assignment and still feel like you're being set up to fail. Meanwhile, others get help and chances, while the rest are ignored. Constant last minute changes, technical issues, and lack of organization show zero respect for students' time or money. Save your money, save your nerves, save your time, and go somewhere else. You message teachers for clarification and not always get answers. Day of class comes and well though you had to figure it out even if you didn't get an answer. Not sure how the Department of Education calls this a school. Forget been a Mom or pregnant because 20% flexible. I had to drop out as my MD was concerned for my health and so was I. Stressed, no sleep, burned out and I know I was capable of working thr program if they knew how to run the place.
