What a wonderful language school. I'm taking my second class this winter…read more This place is so cute! (And many of my classmates work for a living and fit the class into their lunch breaks, just fine!) The buddy system is also great. This is not an easy class, but it has really improved my confidence in speaking, helping me be less self conscious. I have a degree in teaching and Amanda's style works well for me as a kinesthetic learner -- lots of whole body motions, songs, and exaggerated expressions to help the language "stick". The online resources are also very helpful -- to match a variety of learning styles. This class is a very good value and pace. It is a commitment, but learning a language requires daily practice. I've had a lot of fun and can see my progress week to week. I've also enjoyed getting to know my classmates. I wear a mask in class, but not everyone does. There are online options for some levels, too.

I found these classes useful for refreshing and expanding my little knowledge from a long time ago…read more The generally unstructured conversation in class and between classes with our assigned buddies was very helpful compared to learning, say, conjugations by rote. Like any class, the more you put in the more you get out. I needed more practice with verb tenses than was officially allotted, even with the homework, but various online resources were suggested for that. All-in-all, a pleasant way to learn.

The instruction I received here was spot-on. Couldn't ask for better quality from the teachers…read more They are all native speakers and many, if not all, are or were professors. The classes are small - no more than 9 per class - so instruction is well-tailored for you. The office staff is a joke. They are incompetent and always seem like they are somewhere else. They very obviously hate their job and it shows in the service you get.

The school is a non-profit institution, so every cent here counts. I took all my French courses…read morewith one teacher who wanted to see her students succeed in speaking the language. You should go to a school for the dedication in your education. Look at me thinking I'm a copywriter! The rooms lack proper acoustics, it wasn't unusual to hear the traffic outside or the occasional crazy person screaming aloud. Sometimes you hear the outside world more than your teacher, which I often complained about when we completed our evaluations at the end of every course. The school staff are friendly and always ready to answer questions. Women, take note: classes are held in the evening. A former classmate was mistaken for a prostitute late one night, and she was more offended at the offered rate than the mistaken identity.

What sets Sno Spring apart from other schools is the incredible stability and dedication of the staff. Unlike schools with high turnover rates, most of the teachers here have been teaching for 10+ years. Every single teacher is loving, caring, and truly dedicated to their profession. Academically, the school is fantastic. They do a wonderful job accommodating math and reading levels to match each student's individual progress. My younger son started in preschool with very little English. After just one year, he was reading independently at an AR level of 1.4. Now in 1st grade, he is a confident reader at level 5.1! We are so impressed with his academic achievements, but that's only half the story. Beyond the academic, the teachers encourage the kids to behave properly, build confidence, and make friends. My son has developed into a caring, responsible kid. Today was his last day as he moves to a new private school. He cried the whole afternoon since he didn't want to leave. He told me that he feels loved every single day and that what he will miss most are the teachers who taught him not just knowledge, but how to be a confident person who cares for others. We are so grateful. Strongly recommend this school to all families!

She is known to and clearly loved by all the teachers, not just those in charge of her own class (orange). When she arrives in the morning, teachers passing by in the hall greet her by name and she smiles and runs to hug them. When she leaves in the afternoon, she waves goodbye to everyone she sees. At home she talks constantly about her friends and teachers, sings songs and shares new concepts she learned there, and is always excited to go back. The teachers are also understanding and accommodating. For example, the lead teacher for our daughter's class (who knows all the parents, kids, and their siblings by name) is preparing to leave the school but ensured 1-2 months of overlap with her successor so the kids have lots of time to bond with the new lead teacher and have a smooth transition. She has also been supportive as we explored the idea of potty training (even though that's something they usually focus on more in the next class up). It was important to us to find a place that had some light curriculum but emphasized the importance of play and socialization over just teaching, and we found that in The Rainbow School. Plus, the value can't be beat. Parents who have toured other big centers in the area will notice that the menu is simple, "kid-friendly" food rather than the organic menus offered at some other big centers, which may not work for everyone. But at the end of the day our kiddo is eating and sleeping, she is learning and playing, and she is very well loved. For these reasons, we feel we have found somewhere pretty special.

Some of them have been here a very long time which says something about this place. They're happy individuals who greet me and chat with me everyday when I drop off and pick up. They're energetic, and create age appropriate class activities that support a little one's imagination, and they display a genuine care for my children. Mary, Joy, and Pam are great at what they do. They communicate well and support you as a parent. There are nice little bonus when a child attends here as well. If you have to take your kids to a school, and you want to know that they are cared for and loved. Having a good time and thriving as best they can outside of being with their family. This is that school for me, and I am blessed to have Mary and the staff here.
