I had the best cod dish I've ever had on a bed of potatoes. Add a couple bottles of local beer and a sangria unlike any I've ever tasted and we had an outstanding meal. The starters were served with style and aplomb - mushroom soup poured from on high into a bowl with slices of delicious aubergines, and a vegan option of seitan and quinoa - the dish arrived covered and was opened with flourish among a great display of steam- both starters were excellent. My selection was one of the specials listed on the chalkboard - salad, fried fish and one of the signature dishes of the Canary Islands - papas arrugadas with mojo sauce. In a location like this, a small uncrowded fishing port far from the crowds, where you sit at an outdoor table just steps away from the waves lapping at the shore, you don't really care how fast the service is, or if the food is up to Michelin standards. I don't know if I'll ever make it back to Tenerife, but if I do, I'll definitely stop in here again.
