There are so many wonderful things about this school. Entrusting others with your children for a big portion of the day is a big deal. I love the family atmosphere the school has. You really get to know all the staff personally. They are all involved with each child and it is obvious they love each one. The teachers are always willing to meet with you to discuss how your child is doing. They really have a heart for what they do and desire the best for your child. Even when my family has gone through difficult times the teachers have prayed with me and brought me back to what is important. I have served along side the principle and other parents and staff in mission outreach opportunists the school has and it is amazing to see God work. He is doing mighty things here. The parents and children get to be a part of God's work together and you see hearts being changed. It is truly a blessing to be a part of. Academically the school offers a rigorous education. They teach a grade above and your child has opportunities to move up to another grade level (for certain subjects) if they need more of a challenge Because the teach in blocks it is possible to place a child where they need to be. Don't be afraid if your child needs extra help in any area. Your child can catch up with a less accelerated class for a particular subject but still in their grade level or can be taken out to work one on one or in a small group. Small class sizes are also huge for us. A teacher can do so much more with a small class. It amazes me how much individualized help a teacher can provide with less students. A teacher really gets to know your child and see where they are excelling or where they need help and they are able to offer that help. We will be going into our 4th year at Casas Christian school and can not imagine being anywhere else. We started in public school for 2 years, came to CCS and then home-schooled while we travel for a year and then returned to CCS. The school kept in touch with us while we were gone and provided teaching material for us while we traveled. What school would do that? It still amazes me. This is our 3rd year at CCS. There are many things that I love about this school, but something that means a lot to me is that the teachers and administrators do not consider what they do as just a job or career. To them, this is a calling. The principal, Mr. Dowdle, knew my daughters name before she was even old enough to attend. Why, because he cares about families. He is always present and available to talk to students and parents. The teachers welcome parents to volunteer in the classroom and join the class in activities and field trips. I love that the class sizes are small and I know every child in my children's class. Not only is academics important, building strong character is just as important. The teachers lead by example so to teach our children that values are caught not taught. They love their students. Our family has been blessed by this school. I have been a teacher at Casas for the past 26 years and sent my children there as well. Casas is a close-knit family with superb teachers that give students a top tier education academically, emotionally, physically, but most of all, spiritually. CCS is an amazing school and our family has been so blessed here. They empower students with a lifelong faith in Jesus Christ, outstanding academic skills, and a passion to share the Gospel. Having our son attend Casas Christian School is the best decision made, and we take that as a blessing because this school is incredible! We knew Casas Christian School was the perfect environment for our family from the moment we stepped foot on the campus. At the kinder round-up, our son was too shy to go with the other kids. The assistant principal, Joshua Kempf, picked him up and carried him to the first activity. That example of caring is demonstrated by all of the staff and teachers. Our school life began over four years ago upon relocating to Tucson, AZ, from the East Coast. Casas Christian School (CCS) has been foundational to the betterment of our sons' lives. All three of my children have gone to or currently attend Casas Christian School from Elementary all the way through Middle School. The class sizes are small, the children and the teachers are amazing. The teachers and staff have always been there for our kids and our family. We are better parents because of them.
