I am a 70-something with fine and now thinning hair, so cutting it well is not easy. Nancy did great! Collarbone length. The color was spot on. Also, as it turns out, she has Bear Island roots, and she knew all my neighbors. Best, because of her lake background, she really gets what the weather, wind, sun, and water can do to your hair. Changing colorists can be stressful and these two ladies were careful to match my color and product exactly. I was further impressed my little touches of comfort like and hand/arm massage while my color set and a neck massage during my hair wash. Unlike other salons, at no time did I feel rushed or shuttled out to a waiting area while someone else got their color put on in my colorist's chair. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

First problem was that you don't get the entire 90 minutes of massage. I thought it was weird that I was in my car leaving at the time of the end of the massage. I asked and she said I was all set, as she counts the time you undress/dress before and after the massage. Which I think should have been made clear. I also stepped in dog poop once when getting off the table. She did not apologize or give me a tissue. When I asked for certain areas to be worked on during the massage she would say yes, then look at the clock. She would wait until later in the session to work that area again for me. It wasn't fun since I was in pain and that's why I asked for more work in that area. So, I guess she likes to do cookie cut massage session instead of the what the client wants. Plan on lots of yawning from her (as it always felt like she would rather be anywhere else) and a very dirty room/bathroom. I'd be leery of mentioning that the room temperature isn't right for you, she screamed at me when I mentioned that I was hot. I should have left a long time ago, but I needed work in order to keep working. Next time I'll pay attention to the red flags better and realize it's better to drive farther for a friendly and customer service-oriented practitioner

I went to go get a pedicure a week ago. I asked for a spa pedicure, which is supposed to include "extra Massage". They really don't take time to clean up the nail bed and things like that. I usually overlook all of these things because at least the nail polish ends up lasting. This last visit however, the nail polish was absolutely junk and started chipping a few days after I got the pedicure. When I went back to request a polish change, the person helping me when I walked in assumed I was there for a full pedicure. When I explained that I was not there for a full pedicure, they changed their minds and told me they did not have time to take me and to come back in an hour. I've lived in the area for at least three years, and have been struggling to find a quality nail salon that will not overcharge me and will also do a good job. This place isn't it.

Unfortunately, the entire experience felt incredibly rushed and underwhelming. The technician was very friendly but the pedicure didn't even last 30 minutes, and it was clear they were more focused on getting clients in and out quickly rather than providing quality service. My cuticles were barely touched, the buffing on my big toe was rushed, and all of the callus removal? Still very much there. They also didn't address any of my ingrown nails -- something I'd expect to be standard in a higher-end pedicure. At $65, I expected a relaxing, thorough treatment -- but instead, it felt like a basic express pedicure with a luxury price tag. I guess I've been spoiled by top-notch pedicure experiences in California, and sadly, this just didn't measure up. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you're seeking a proper, pampering pedicure experience.
