My home's roof is fairly new and has no missing shingles. I responded to this false claim, requesting that they look into their error. Instead, I was asked for proof of the roof's condition. The burden of proof is not on me. Travelers was more than welcome to come inspect my roof and determine why such an outrageous and clearly false claim was made, but they did not. I cannot remain a customer with a company that treats its customers like this. If I ever needed to file a claim, I can't imaging the battle that would ensue to force them to pay. Because of this blatant, unprofessional mistreatment, I have switched to the competition.

After my last direct carrier insurance company canceled my umbrella policy because their auto claims department could not settle an accident I had almost 2 years ago and the other party filed a lawsuit to keep settlement options open, I was hard pressed to find an insurance company to write me an umbrella policy with an open lawsuit. And I couldn't even increase my Auto liability to $1M because that carrier downgraded me from preferred status. It was my first auto accident in 10 years, and I had no other tickets, but accidents happen. I wasn't drinking, or impaired in anyway, but tried to avoid an accident and "lost control of my vehicle", which was an older, heavier car that was difficult to control. But my last insurance company just went by their "business guideline" and downgraded my auto policy and canceled my umbrella policy, without really evaluating the situation holistically. I called several agencies in the areas, and no other agent would even try to get me an umbrella policy because I had a "pending litigation." When I cold called Darriane's agency, Hylenne Bojorquez answered my call, and was so helpful and sympathetic to my situation. She called the State Farm underwriters that she worked often with and really pushed my case. She also helped me figure out higher limit liability for my Home and Auto policies in case my umbrella policy did not get approved. At the end, State Farm approved all of my policies: Home, Auto and Umbrella! I pay about $100 more per month with State Farm than with my previous insurance carrier for all 3 policies, but you get what you pay more. The customer service is excellent at Darriane's agency, and the State Farm policy coverage is much better. Now that I have a family and considerable assets to protect, it's essential to find the right insurance policies and agents to help protect my family. I'm so glad I found Darriane and her team, plan on staying a loyal customer for as long as they'll have my business, and highly recommend them for your insurance needs!
