    Table in the sun room

This is a restaurant that seems like it belongs more in downtown Burlington than in Carlisle! But yet, the quiet setting suits the restaurant - it has such a charm to it. It's cozy inside, and Angela, the very hands-on owner, makes you feel right at home. The food is all homemade and can be easily customized to suit vegan, gluten free, you-name-it diets. I split an appetizer platter of cured meats, cheeses, crackers, and marinated olives with my friend - everything was enjoyed! I even discovered a new-to-me cheese that I'd never tried before. For my entree I had the flatbread feature, which was topped with mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, and Genoa salami. Again, this was very good although I found the mild flavour of the Genoa was lost amongst all the other flavours. This didn't really matter to me though because it was delicious regardless. This restaurant is the perfect in between meeting point for seeing out-of-town friends who live north west of Burlington. I'm looking forward to going back again, especially in the summer months when their patio is open!

Love this local restaurant. Perfect place for a light lunch with friends or dinner. The food is always fresh and cooked well. Tonight I came for their Sunday burgers and craft beer deal ($20). I ordered the Cascata burger with the flight of craft beers (Lug Tread, Side Launch, Wellington, Nickel Brook). Tip: for your side you can order half fries half salad if you want both! Rating it 4 instead of 5 stars because the service can sometimes be slow if it's busy. But the server's are always very nice and make it worth it!

It took 2 hours to get our $25 salty burger and $25 cold chicken. The most expensive and most disappointing lunch I have ever had.

Our favourite restaurant. Very good food with a nice variety of specials everyday. Excellent wines and friendly service.

Our second visit was not so great however. We came here on a Monday night at around 9pm. Our server was Jessica. She was very nice and accommodating. There was a cold draft from the window and she was kind enough to move us when we asked. She was also very attentive when serving us. Now onto the food. We got the Balsamic Mozzarella again - it was delicious. I really like the sweetness of the honey and tartness of the balsamic vinegar. I'd say this is a must try! For our main, we got the Vodka Pollo Rigatoni. We usually get the social size carbonara and for that dish we always struggle to finish it. We always need to have a little bit for takeout. Now for the rigatoni, it was incredibly small. To the point where when we split it, it wouldn't even fill our entire plate. If this is the social size, I don't even think the individual portion will fill you up a little bit. I cannot emphasize how small this dish was. My partner and I were so confused when we first saw it. We were able to finish the whole dish in about 5 min and even Jessica was confused at how quickly we wiped the plate clean. We had to get a small bite elsewhere since this portion was very tiny. I wouldn't recommend it and it just sort of ruined the meal since we had to eat again. Service is nice as always and the mozzarella is great though.
