I brought the car in because I was told that I needed new front brake pads and did not want to pay…read morethe big bucks. I thought when I took my car in the first time they were great, but when I brought the car back because there was a grinding sound from the left front side, things went downhill. After 4 tries, the grinding was better but the brake pedal went almost to the floor. The guy that fixed the car was friendly at first but then things got really dark when I brought the car back. He said things like "this is what happens when you don't maintain your car, woman mechanics aren't any good, He hated his job and should just quit" etc. He talked down to me every step of the way, even though my brothers are mechanics, and I do maintain every car I have ever had. I understand how brakes are supposed to work. I ended up making a complaint to the state of Florida. The owner gave me my money back and said that he had lost a bunch of money. The thing is the brakes still are not the same as when I went in. This started in good faith. I was hoping to avoid a serious issue when I took it in. One of the times I was there I drove away with the hood open and the brake pedal almost to the floor. I had not opened the hood. This guy broke my brakes! I do not know how because they kept adding parts and said they were bleeding the brakes. Even getting my money back doesn't fix the issue of the brake pedal going to the floor before the car stops. The owner assures me the brakes work and I should not be concerned about my safety. Its true the prices are not bad but my brakes don't work like they did and I am worse off than before I went in. You decide if you wanna take this kind of chance with you and your families safety.
