This is one of the few lunch spots that I was able to find in Rensselaer. It is a local owned…read morebusiness that has been going for about 6 years. It is in an old building and may look closed when you are driving up. There is not official parking for the restaurant that I saw. There is a few spots that you can park that are between it and the park that it is next to, but nothing is marked off. The guy that was working there also happened to be the owner. The restaurant has an indoor dining area and a patio area. The owner was very friendly and very welcoming. He gave me the history of the the restaurant. It roots are in Oregon and he kept the name when he moved the business back to his home town of Rensselaer. The restaurant has a Purdue and Elvis theme, with decorations all over the place. And there is an extra room off to the side where I believe they host special events or may open up if they are busy. They have a menu that consists of pizza, calzones, salads and subs. I decided to do with the philly steak and cheese. It was prepared fresh and was ready in about 8 minutes. It was ok. It was not the best philly I have had and I would not travel miles to get it, but it was decent. The fries were good. I recommend coming here for superior and friendly service, and good food.

The crust was thicker than Monicals but was very good for a thin crust and had full flavor. I will definitely be looking for more creative flavors from them in the future. This is the best pizza I have had in a long time. Slight downside is cash or check.

I was very young and say mid 70s Indians moved to its current location. Not sure if many remember but it used to be a small carwash. My Grandparents decided to do the carryout pizza thing due to low overhead. Indians became my high school job from 86-88 until I left for the Army. My Grandma retired and closed the business but in 1992 my Uncle purchased it and ran it for many years until he sold it. Since Indians changed hands I had only been there once or twice but last night my wife came up with the idea to try Indians for something different and I am glad that we did. It was very good and I enjoyed the thin crust for my traditional Pepperoni , bacon and pineapple pizza. I like the changes made to the place and that have turned an old storage area into a small dining room. We will most certainly be back and it's nice to go back inside and remember all the good times there.

Slice was pepperoni and fresh mushrooms, NY style. Delicious. (Took a bite before I took the picture). Meatball sub was very good with good crunch on the bread, and nice melty cheese. Meatballs were really good, and sauce was very tasty. Lunch partner had the Philly cheese steak. Said it was piping hot and very tasty. Came with a cup of melted nacho cheese on the side. Noticed this was a surprisingly highly rated spot, even though the photos didn't look that great. Through ordering online , placed an order for a small pan pizza , not realizing (isn't listed on their website) that adding any toppings is 1.25$ more each; like a 23$ small pizza. It appears the pizza had its toppings put after the sauce, and cheese on top, leaving an unsatisfying appearance and feeling I would've needed to order "extra cheese" to get a normal pizza. The exterior of the crust was hard, like baked too high of a temp for too long, and crunched like a cracker with the dough being dense and flavorless. The "beef roll" appeared to be their small dough folded over into a 12"x8" rectangle and cut into 1"x3" long pieces , and dusted with an Italian seasoning. Thin shaved beef inside, opted for pepperoni in it too. It was alright, again the crust put me off, the au jous that comes with it was watery and bland, and for 20.50$, felt like an overpay. Personally I like getting boneless wings with pizza, so opted for a dozen of those for us. Limited flavors , went with "hot", which was no hotter than Franks red hot. If they were fried, they steamed inside their foil and styrofoam container, and were received soggy and soft. Nothing noteworthy on taste or experience there.. beyond the 16.75$ charge, making each quarter-sized piece like 1.40$ each All in all impression: overpriced. I wouldn't go back, and if this is the best rated pizza in town, think I won't be going out for pizza around here the duration of my trip, least it be overpriced for mediocre food again.

I was pretty shocked to see that our total was over $45 for the 12" pizza, bread, and two drinks with tip. But really everything else made it worth it. And we got a slice of the most delicious almond cake on the way out for free - score!
